I agree, by the way. Sashimi is great, especially maguro (I suppose you guessed as much
). It's just that I absolutely can't quell my hunger with sashimi as easily
Yes, I agree - but I think there is a reason for that - and possibly the reason for the extended Japanese life-span. Basically the food science is that eating kills - the more we eat the quicker we die. So small meals more regularly than large meals infrequently is a healthier lifestyle. Relate that to the fact that one particular country has almost 40% of the body mass that the world contains - and they not only eat big, they die young . . . and the light goes on.
Never fills me up, either, I'm hungry an hour later. But then I'll have something else.
But, yeah, some countries do have strange dishes that one really has to "get into". A lot of people can't stand the thought of eating Mett - a German dish consisting of raw, ground beef, usually served on slices of bread or breadrolls, seasoned with salt and pepper, and sometimes with raw onion slices, too. Tastes great once you've gotten used to it, though - and, of course, if it's absolutely fresh.
It's on the opposite end on the "Healthy Food Scale" compared to sushi and sashimi, though
Dr. Salisbury, I believe was the one that recommended ground steak as a cure-all. A butcher friend of mine told me that eating raw
beef was okay; steak tartare? I remember Mr. Bean does not like it. LOL.
You guys are making me hungry now, I cannot eat anything until 6:30, better close this window ASAP
This makes me so hungry!

but have to wait another 4 hours to eat 👎
What
are you guys doing in here? Do your parents know? There's no famine in here, it's a daily feast, makes my mouth water, I can smell the coffee,
Bye Ya's pics are way too realistic, and when are you going to stop fasting anyway? I get invited over by my Moslem friends - looking forward to that.
Nice. Easy to understand, and a great recipe; even a kid should be able to whip that up.
I am about to have a glass of Johnnie Walker Green Label.
I just finished a glass of Johnnie Walker Green Label. Fantastic stuff!
Is that bottle over yet? Pretty expensive.
Miss those sticky buns. My school canteen (tuck-shop?) used to have them.
Bell'a Oberob Minikeg to celebrate our 14 year anniversary!
Happy Anniversary, Dave - Congratulations to both you and the wifey. 👍
Now off to have some DAD's Cookies and a glass of milk.
