The album this song is from isn't supposed to be released until the end of next month, but it got leaked online. So I, uh, couldn't help myself and had a listen to the whole thing, and...

The whole "Architects has gone BMTH" arguments are going to get only vocal for a good while, I'd imagine. Some songs are undeniably heavy, with Sam doing his trademark "Sing-Scream" thing effortlessly well, but there were a couple of songs that were genuine shockers that sounded like a slickly-produced pop songs rather than technical metalcore. One of the songs even reminded me of BMTH's Ludens, for goodness' sake.

Overall, I liked the album as much as their previous effort, Holy Hell, but I'm kind of bracing myself for the inevitable avalanche of online vitriol coming from the butthurt Architects fanboys...

In 1960 Roy Orbison wrote and sang Only the Lonely, which became a #1 international hit.

1964 cover by Ronnie Cook and the Superbs also has its charms.

Some of the best Krautrock ever.
