What car did you use?!

If on the other hand you get a car at, or below, the level of the AI cars, then it's one of the biggest challenges in the game - along with the Yaris/Vitz Trophy, Elise Cup (in a 190) and Clio Championship (in the road car).

Whats wrong in wanting to race a fast car? Surely PD could program the AI to pick more suitable opposition to the ones you pick. Just imagine the Standard car cup with you in a GT1, and the AI comes with a Nissan R390 Road car, Jag XJ220, Ruf and a Zonda. That might be a good race.

Famine, who says a person is retarded because they use a car that is way to fast. I used the GT 1 road the first time I did this race and I am in no way retarded.

No, I didn't. I said that THAT person was retarded for using one of the fastest road cars in the game, then complaining that it was "too easy". Duh! Of COURSE it was. I've already said I've used the 5 fastest road cars in the game on the PD Cup. Using a fast car because you enjoy using fast cars isn't the issue. Using a the fastest car you can because you're lazy and want to finish the game without actually playing it is retarded.

I don't disagree that it'd be better with better AI cars - that's a given. But the AI seem incapable of controlling the faster cars. call it an "oversight" on PD's behalf. But don't use the Ruf RGT of Zonda then complain that it was "too easy" - use a less capable car!

These are generally the sort of people who complain about the Vitz Trophy (or Yaris Trophy) because they have to drive a "slow-ass" car which they cannot be competitive in - they are only used to blowing the opposition away.

Your inference was that this person was retarded. You quickly jump on the higher than holy attitude when other people post threads that contain bad English and insulting tones. I think a little practice what you preach is called for.

Use of "that" twice consecutively is perfectly acceptable in English.

Do you actually have a point regarding the content of what I typed? It's a pity you didn't check the whole thread when you decided you were going to attack me the first time - meaning now you have to fall back on "Yeah... well..." style posts which are also incorrect.

My mum is from Yorkshire, she cooks the best roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinner ever. How about your mum Famine, seeing you are also from Yorkshire, does she cook a good roast with Yorkshire pudding? Sure does beat daan's popcorn.
Back to GT3. My mum hates the game. What about yours

The first time I used the gt one, (I just wanted the f094/s) and Haven't really thought about doing it again.

Given her death 10 years ago, I think she couldn't give a rat's ass.

Uncle Harry, you are aguing about GT3 with one of the most knowledgable people in the world about it.
Andrew (aka Famine) is also among the most helpful members on the boards. (His setting for the Vitz/Yaris cup are the best I've been able to find)
Not in his defense (as he's perfectly capable of doing that himself), you are out of line. Go back and re-read what he wrote, and try to get what he meant, not what you thought he meant. Or take my simplified explanation. I'll try to keep the words small.

"If you race against tricycles with jet planes, you are sure to win."

A Toyota GT-one or a Jag XJ 220 is a perfectly acceptable car to run the PD cup in. However, if you choose to do that, do not get indignant that the competition is a bit "weak".
Some of us, for the challenge, have gone thru to try cars that are a bit more "equal" to the AI to make the races more interesting.

If you want a real adrenaline rush, run the races in a car that you can win in, but aren't sure you'll win in.
The higher "pucker factor" keeps me from falling asleep during the races.👍 You might not need that kind of challenge to keep you interested. Or perhaps, you have a challenging race running the GT-One, XJ220 or the R390.

Uncle Harry your digging yourself a deep pit here, either change your atitude of get lost.

Whoa, I think this is the first time I have ever seen a post from you this pissed dude. You raised the hairs on my neck when I read that.

I actually quite like Uncle Harry, strange as it may seem. He's erudite and not afraid to say what he thinks, clearly. On this occasion he's got the wrong end of the stick, but I'd rather have a stand-up shout match with him than a comical exchange of "txt" with half the drift forum.

All right, lads, time to settle down. We're all here for the same reason and let's leave the backbiting and flame bait to the 1337 h4x0rs and fanboys, hmmm?

I'd like to believe that Uncle Harry's "Yorkshire mum" comment was intended more as a slap on the back than a slap in the face. I'm not a Yorkshireman, so I could be wrong, but in either case his last comment was "let's move back towards GT3".
