What do you think being dead is like?

I honestly can't say that I know what it is like, as I've never been dead. From scripture, I gather that death results in immediate reincarnation as yourself on the day of Judgement. From there we either go to heaven or Hell.

I believe that death as something final doesn't exist. When we die here we get born somewhere else. Before we got born here we died somewhere else. Birth and death are closely related, like all changes in life. Something dissappears and give place for something else.

So, it's like Gil said, alive, but different.

I think it would be like being the conscience of a newborn person. So it would hold true with the theory that if you lead a good life, your next life will be good also.

I think that Jpec's idea is good, too. I guess maybe you would go through purgatory before that, though.

I was wondering that myself.

I also think sn00pie has the right answer, except he aswered by nullifying the question and... whatever. Death is just the end, 'being dead' is a fabricated concept.
