400 AC.
Coming up on the end of 444 AC.
Axel I Baratheon would die of natural causes in 428 at the age of 58, leaving his son Robert to take over as Robert II Baratheon. Robert II got it in his head that he wanted a Valyrian steel sword of his own, went out on a journey, never returned.
Enter Damon I Baratheon, king since 432 AC. Wed to Myrren Dondarrion, and owing to Damon's...well...acquired taste in the looks department (i.e ugly sonofagun), there hasn't been much action between the two. Four children, three of who have survived birth...and to make things interesting, they're all girls.
You've got:
Coryanne, current heir presumptive. 14, recently wed to Selwyn Estermont.
{Morgan}, stillborn in 435 AC
Aelinor, 6
Alysanne, 1
Storyline wise, relatively quiet outside of two distantly related claimants tried to take the Iron Throne (Rosamund Lannister, granddaughter of Stannis I Baratheon; Borros Crane, another grandchild of Stannis I) and a surprising controversy popping up around the time of Coryanne's wedding: The Queen was pregnant...but not by the King, but by Lord Commander of the Kingsguard Harlan Greenacre. Well, she was apparently found innocent of adultery so now Damon's kinda depressed as heck.
If there's no sons by the time Damon turns 40 and the game lets me, half-intending to call a Great Council to settle the succession issue.
