Coming up on the end of 444 AC.

Axel I Baratheon would die of natural causes in 428 at the age of 58, leaving his son Robert to take over as Robert II Baratheon. Robert II got it in his head that he wanted a Valyrian steel sword of his own, went out on a journey, never returned.

Enter Damon I Baratheon, king since 432 AC. Wed to Myrren Dondarrion, and owing to Damon's...well...acquired taste in the looks department (i.e ugly sonofagun), there hasn't been much action between the two. Four children, three of who have survived birth...and to make things interesting, they're all girls.

You've got:
Coryanne, current heir presumptive. 14, recently wed to Selwyn Estermont.
{Morgan}, stillborn in 435 AC
Aelinor, 6
Alysanne, 1

Storyline wise, relatively quiet outside of two distantly related claimants tried to take the Iron Throne (Rosamund Lannister, granddaughter of Stannis I Baratheon; Borros Crane, another grandchild of Stannis I) and a surprising controversy popping up around the time of Coryanne's wedding: The Queen was pregnant...but not by the King, but by Lord Commander of the Kingsguard Harlan Greenacre. Well, she was apparently found innocent of adultery so now Damon's kinda depressed as heck.

If there's no sons by the time Damon turns 40 and the game lets me, half-intending to call a Great Council to settle the succession issue.

While I know I should be talking about the games I'm playing right now, I will talk about the games I played this year.

Despite owning lots of games on PS4, XB1 and on Steam/Epic Games, I can't help but find myself going back to games from 7th and 6th generation of consoles instead.

Lately, I have been playing through NFS Pro Street which I actually liked despite some slight flaws. I had to install some fan made patches/mods to improve the gameplay. Overall I really liked the festival atmosphere and the soundtracks, I'm fact I dare to say I enjoyed it more than MW 2005. It's easier than I thought it would be. I managed to beat everyone in drift events (including Ryo) with a stage 3 AE86, it was actually a better drift car than some more powerful cars I had. The speed challenges were my favourite tho, especially with seeing a.is wrecking their cars and the "intense camera" effects.

Other games I played this year includes the PS2 version of Bully/Canis Canon Edit, a fun light hearted cult classic by R*. I wish if they will ever make a sequel but sadly that's unlikely.

I haven't completed Midnight Club 3 Remix but so far, it was pretty good and the customisation are amazing. The A.I are a little pain in the arse tho. The Graphics have definitely not aged well unlike other racing games from the time.

After that terrible Mafia 2 "remastered" for the current gen consoles was released, I decided to go back through the Original PS3 release and play that version instead. It's a shame that the game felt a bit rushed and had lots of its features cut out of the game because otherwise, 2K Czech could have created an absolute masterpiece. Mafia 2 IMO was a far better game than Mafia 3 ever was. Such a shame 2K/Take 2 had to rush this title out back in 2010. it's even worse when you consider that the "remastered" they recently released could have received some restored content at the very least rather than break the game even more with bugs and unnecessary additions like mug shot collectibles or "mafia 3" bomb jacket that doesn't fit at all.

Between this and that, I returned to play a bit of GT Sport, GTA V, Assetto Corsa, Smackdown Here comes the pain and DBZ BT3.

Apex Legends Season 6 just dropped today with a new weapon, a new character, loads of weapon changes, and huge changes to the map as in entirely new structures popping up!

Back on Snowrunner. Trying to finish the remaining jobs I've got left on the Russian maps before moving back over to the Lake Kovd DLC.

And some Fall Guys as well.

Finally getting around to playing final fantasy 7 remake. First FF game I have played since 10, RPG have changed a lot in that time!

So far really enjoying it, the nostalgia from the music brings back great memories.

I finally got Flight Simulator installs after some stupid amount of time. I'm also playing Project Hospital since they just released an infectious disease DLC that lets you attempt to handle an influx of COVID patients. Based on what I've seen where I work, it's pretty realistic.

Playing lots of WRC 8 because I wanted to complete career before WRC 9 releases. WRC 8 is very good, even if it doesn't reach the same level of quality in some areas as Dirt Rally 2.0. The stages are wonderful, even if the super long ones are brutally difficult to get through in one piece.

I decided to finally finish and get my platinum for a game that i started 9 years ago: freaking damn Dark Souls

BUT! One can only go so far with that much darkness in his mind. So... i found a bunch of old games together with Dark Souls. I've been playing them this morning and i plan to play them for the rest of the week!

I can't forget those PS3 racing games man. Blur, Split/Second, NFS, the last F1 game made by Sony... it's just too good.

It's funny that i found first both Ferrari and Driver... there are two interesting things about them:

1 - There's a music in the Ferrari game that i found to be very relaxing and pretty cool. I've been looking for this music since the day i got the game. Well, it's been years and i still searching for the damn thing. I found a way to listen on my pc/phone though: i turned up the TV to almost max volume and started recording with my phone

2 - There's an easter egg on Driver SF about the DeLorean. When you hit 88 mph, you unlock a challenge called "A Blast to the Past", which is a challenge exactly like the first mission in the first Driver game. Ok, that is common knowledge. But... man, I SWEAR. SERIOUSLY. The first time i was driving the DeLorean above 88 mph i got "teleported" back to an old SF. The game simply stopped spawning modern cars. I could only find old cars and even the screen filter was different. I got this only once and i have no idea how to get it again. I swear i was driving in Free Roam. It couldn't be a challenge or a different mission...

Playing Driver really makes me nostalgic about the old "car/cop chase" games. Perhaps now it's a good time to watch "The Driver" again!

I bought Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO on sale recently, and it's been a pleasant surprise. Audio and graphic doesn't really match up to the Dirt Rally, but rally stages are great (in both quantity and quality), and car roster is among the best I've seen in a rally game.

Career mode is not too shabby, either. I'm having a lot of fun just going through the events and beefing up my car collection.

Need for Speed Payback because I wanted an open world racing game without "Horizon" in the title to mix things up - and it was only $4.

I thought I would hate it. There are certainly things I do hate about it, but I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would. Once you get used to (and over) the completely absurd car handling and just-stupid car modification process, there's a lot to like in this game. It's quite a bit more immersive than the FH series to me and the narrative is a far more compelling match for the open world than whatever it is PG does with the single player in FH. It's hard to stay engaged with it after completing the story though. I might actually get Heat at full price after I'm done with Payback.

About that, me of the past:

This timeline's first woman to sit the Iron Throne. Ascended at the age of fifteen after her father's suicide, fairly sure that eight is my new personal best this mod for kids in a row that aren't stillborn.

In order:
  1. Carmella, 20, wed to {Gyles Stone}
-Yolanda Gladmore, 4 (mod's weird with baseborn children as evidenced by their papa's last name)
    -Della Gladmore, 3
  2. Lyonel, 15, heir presumptive. Betrothed to Ravella Massey
  3. Argilac, 11, betrothed to Joanna Darkwood
  4. Floris, 9
  5. Durran, 8
  6. Royce, 4
  7. Garon, newborn
  8. Quentyn, twin to Garon

Those who sat the Iron Throne/consorts:
  • Robert I Baratheon (283-343 AC)
    Spouses: Cersei Lannister, Kerryn Tully
(skips Bobby B's eldest son Axel owing to his murder in 333 AC, no Margaery Tyrell on the consort list as a result)
  • Ronnal I Baratheon (343-357 AC)
    Spouse: Jeyne Bar Emmon
  • Garon I Baratheon (357-360 AC)
    Spouse: Margaery Fossoway (green apple)
  • Stannis I Baratheon (360-385 AC)
    Spouses: Syrona Mormont, Joanna Crane
  • Axel I Baratheon (385-428 AC)
    Spouse: Amyra Mooton
  • Robert II Baratheon (428-432 AC)
    Spouse: Alys Karstark
  • Damon I Baratheon (432-445 AC)
    Spouse: Myrren Dondarrion
  • Coryanne I Baratheon (445 AC-present)
    Spouse: Selwyn Estermont

Of note:
Somehow the Greyjoys are still technically going....I say this noting that the sole surviving member is a childess woman in her late 30's. I should also mention for giggles that she's a greatgreatgreat-granddaughter of Euron "I'd like to think I'm cooler than my TV equivalent" Greyjoy, who ended up dying as King of the Basilisk Isles near Yeen...which book lore nerds should know is a kinda terrifying place to be.

Reconnected my ps2 first time since 2012 and i'm going through one of my favorite jrpg ever Star Ocean till the end of time :D

Also playing pcars 3

I remember TTEOT fondly too. 👍

I picked up 3 Star Ocean games on the PS4 in the PSN sale earlier in the year including that and the latest PS4 game. Still all on my backlog of shame though :embarrassed:

Hitman 2. Only other Hitman game I've played before this was Absolution on PS3. Forgot how enjoyable it is just exploring and finding different ways to complete missions.

And Fall Guys, still.

Recently bought Among Us to play with some mates. The server issues are frustrating (half of my logged playtime is me just trying to join a private session), but it's an absolute blast, so long as you have at least six people.

More Dreams. Designed yet another chassis and then a new hardtop with removable doors, jack, winch, tow bar, etc. I've got a working backhoe and loader bucket attachment as well as a plow. Pushing rocks around in VR is for some reason very relaxing. Land Rover lookalike in the works and I might try something Broncoesque. Still need to do sound design. Might use my Volvo as it kinda sounds like an old engine at times. Wish there were more people trying to build vehicles on dreams but there are very few doing so.

Pardon the crazy filter, I got a little carried away.

Have been playing an old favourite game of mine that got released on PS4 back in 2013 Akiba's Trip.

Such a bonkers game concept and story but bar a few camera issues the game play has held together well though the graphics look a little old school showing it's PS Vita/PS3 roots

Will be heading back to Borderlands 3 this week for the new DLC

I recently completed the main story of "City Fighter vs. Street Gang." This is a fairly average brawler for Android (and maybe iOS too?). Game has a nonsense story, but I otherwise had a little interest in it seeing it used assets from a popular game asset developer. I sort of tried to grind Oranges (the game's currency) to try to unlock all of the weapons as well as the characters. This game will NOT replace Final Fight or Streets of Rage. It was a more-than-decent brawler. I now basically play the game to take on the Hero Mode.

[OMISSION] If you do decide to look into this game I mentioned in this post, I highly recommend you pay to have the ads removed. The ads get to be a distraction in between levels.

Got back into The Outer Worlds to play the latest Peril on Gorgon DLC but I didn't have a save file before the "point of no return" final mission, so I had to restart the game to access the DLC. Might as well play the entire game again, but to be honest it's already been better than my first play-through and I might be crazy but the game looks better on PS4 Pro, whereas I played it on standard PS4 before.

Also playing WRC 9.
