After many, many years of intrigue and in light of PSN being unable to process voucher codes, I'm downloading Grim Fandango. For a whopping £1.19.

Just finished To The Moon. Someone is cutting a truckload of onions in here, I swear.

I'm not sure I've played a tearjerker of a game like that ever.

I’ve got a friend who really likes that game, says it’s the closest thing to a Makoto Shinkai film in videogame form... I have it in my Steam library but never got around to playing it. I should probably do that sometime, I hear it’s pretty short.

Right now though I’m playing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers. You know a game is serious business when it’s got a sub-subtitle. It’s so 90s it hurts, but I’m loving it all the same. It’s honestly got some of the better demon negotiation out of all the SMT games I’ve played, and the loyalty system is pretty interesting (if a bit annoying at times). And I actually really kinda dig the fact that your demons don’t level up in this game... in SMT games you’re meant to get rid of your demons as soon as something better comes along, and demons leveling up kinda goes against that philosophy.

Like three hours tops end to end. It's basically a slightly long movie. Probably another hour to play the additional content afterwards.

And yeah, that's a pretty good description of the game. Possibly slightly more irreverent humour, but the pacing and writing is very similar.

Jumping between FIFA 18, GT Sport and Uncharted 4, plus trying out Adr1ft and Dangerous Golf.

I haven't touched an XBO game in over a month.

War Thunder
GT Sport
Project CARS 2
Syrian Warfare (Return to Palmyra DLC) - really fun, but hard. Ohhh...

Also started American Truck Simulator. I like it already.

Been playing quite a bit of GT Sport lately. Some Rainbow Six Siege and Black Ops 1 on PC too.

Looking forward to Far Cry 5 on PC in a few months time. :P:tup:

Elite Dangerous, Assetto Corso, Elite Dangerous, a bit of Destiny 2 which I find disappointing and Elite Dangerous.

I’ve been playing through the classic Mega Man series. I’ve already beaten 1 through 8 and I’m currently playing 9. I’m really looking forward to Mega Man 11 by the end of 2018.

Other than that, I’ve been progressing through Forza Motorsport 3. Hopefully, I can complete it before Horizon 4 inevitably releases this year.

After 5 months, I finally got a video card, namely an 1050 Ti! :D

I play these currently:
Euro Truck Simulator 2 - with a lot of mods, it's brilliantly realistic.
The Forest I'm big enough for it!
Sometimes Assetto Corsa

My son's going places with a wonderful name like that.

Update: Year is 820, am son in picture. He ended up inheriting a county in present-day North Ireland after his dad died. While still playing as Queen Eanswith (my character at the time), declared war on my son to get his younger brother on the throne. Inadvertent result of a matrilineal marriage was this ended up bringing said county into my petty Kingdom.

She died in a coma age 39 because reasons, mainly rendered incapable of rule after a failed suicide attempt.

Currently penciling the formation of England in for mid 840's. Ireland is next as they're still tribal and are subsequently weaker in terms of army composition.

EDIT: Just remembered that this timelines Charlemagne was successful in forming the Holy Roman Empire, having done so in 786.

Fallout 4
Gran Turismo Sport
Grand Theft Auto V / Online
Helldivers
Middle-earth: Shadow of War
NBA 2K18

I got GT Sport, Shadow of War, and NBA 2K18 over the holidays. This year is already shaping up to be a very busy one. :)

Dark Souls 3: I've put 70+ hours into this game already and I'm probably still not even half way through. Maybe I should actually finish a run before starting another character... It's just so difficult though when you beat a boss and think "what if I did that with a different built however".

Forza 7: Lately it has become my daily driver as far a driving games go, what with GT Sport having gone over to being a mainly online affair, and a Forza mainline game having finally made it over onto the PC. It's certainly the best car porn game out there at the moment. Just the sheer amount of car that are there and what all can be done with them is staggering.

Dead Cells: A game I can only describe at the moment as the Doctor Who of rogue-esque metroidvanias. Being an early access title updates and changes are to be expected. It just happens to be that every major update completely changes the way the game plays (and sometimes looks as well). Example: the latest update got rid of most of the stat bonuses for leveling-up and random bonuses on weapons, and now lets you choice from a list of them in between levels. Also weapon upgrades are now a thing apparently. I wouldn't know, as I've yet to beat the game even once...

Gran Turismo 6: I recently returned to this game after 2 years of inactivity once I read the servers are about to go down soon. Now I am relentlessly farming credits in b spec mode and buying as many cars as I can while I still have the multiplier.
Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens: Got this game recently and have been playing it a lot lately. I have to say it has FAR more to offer than I originally anticipated and I am very impressed with it! 👍
Crash Bandicoot The N'Sane Trilogy: Been playing it on and off lately, haven't really played it as much since I got Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens. Lately I have been in more of a mood to play relaxing games and Crash is anything but that, so this game hasn't seen as much as a result. I beat Crash 2 and 3 and I am close to beating the first, but I probably won't focus on it until I beat Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens.

On the weekends, I've been playing Persona 5 since I can spend 3-4 hours on it. Never played a Persona game before, but I really like Persona 5. Just wish I had more time during the weekdays to play it.

I just picked up Monster Hunter World, so I'm still learning how to play that game.

The Switch, really enjoying it so far., it's proving to be a stout little console/ mobile gaming device.

Legend of Zelda BotW
Forzard 7
Skyrim SE, with mods, after 5 years it's like almost like a brand new game again.

Finished Golf Story a few days ago, and just beat Killer is Dead about an hour ago. Gonna try and wrap up Soul Hackers before January ends to make room for the games I'll be playing in February: Dragon Quest II, Shenmue and Air Combat.

The first English monarch in this save's timeline, became Queen of England in 848 after a well-timed grab of some counties I totally had completely legitimate claims on yessiree no way in hell did I fabricate them at all ;)

State of the known world, 857 AD. The Norse faith reformed itself in the late 790's thanks to the King of Danmark, only the second time I've seen the AI reform a pagan religion in the 500 hours I've put into the game. The Abbasids are much more frightening in this picture than they actually are, mainly because I'm quite aways from them and don't have to tangle with them until the Crusades unlock, which won't be until at least the 900's.

(Paying this on the 2.7.2 patch, haven't bought the Jade Dragon expansion yet to justify playing on 2.8.x)

NFS Rivals.
What platform?

I played that on the PS3 and it might have been the worst NFS I've experienced to date. Terrible framerate/ stuttering, useless phone connectivity, and near constant crashing. It's a shame because the game wasn't even that bad, in a ridiculous over the top way.

PC. I don't know why I felt like going back to it though. I'm using a camera mod with it so it's alright.

(10,600th post on GTP!)

Update: November 1st 960 and currently playing as Cynewulf, the second Emperor of Britannia. He took the reigns from his father Morcar the Great after his peaceful death at age 60 and so far the initial transition from one ruler to another has been rather peaceful, much more so than Morcar's transition. Territory either I or a vassal control is crudely circled in the pic.

Made my half-brother an antipope and pressed the claim he subsequently got on the legitimate Papacy as a result, now he's ruling as Pope Benedictus VI.

Now it's a matter of hanging on and not making an incredibly idiotic move until the game ends in 1453, where I should finally get the achievement for playing a game from 769 to 1453.
