What has PD ever done for us?

That is a fact, and there is no refuting it.

I know, I know, you love to say "it's a fact", even when it's just your opinion. For the last hour I've been reading this thread and a few others while playing the game. I earned over half a million credits in that time, without grinding.

What is 'fact' is that you can earn lots of cash for buying cars just by driving and playing the game. This isn't opinion, because I'm doing it right now. In the time you've spent crying about this and that, you could have done it, too. If you don't like driving, it's worth considering that driving games aren't for you. *shrug* If it's work, if it's grinding, if it's drudgery, do something else. Didn't your mom say you needed to clean your room today, anyway? Start with all the Kleenex you've thrown around the room.

Once more, I do wish people would read the OP and watch the little film...it's a tongue-in-cheek poke at all the complaints.

Of course PD have done something for us...given us all the GT titles and a lot of gaming pleasure in the past. Okay, this one didn't go so smoothly, for whatever reason - they have listened (a bit too much I think) and released patches in an attempted to fix this...but people still act as if PD have murdered Mickey Mouse or something like that.

I'm a big GT fan, have been for a long time, and I have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of GT5. However, GT5 is not as good as GT4, and it's not even really that close. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with saying this. Sometimes people develop psychological attachments to gaming franchises, bands, movies, etc., and they feel a need to have everybody acknowledge that that franchise, band, or movie is the absolute best in its class. They have an inner need for something they like to be universally adored and to be considered number one. The funny thing is that people who complain endlessly about GT have nearly the exact same feelings about the franchise, but they just express them in a different way. I love the GT franchise. I think when it's done properly, it's the best racing/driving simulator out there. I love its quirks, and it really pisses the hell out of me that a product as flawed as GT5 is what PD have to show for six years of hard work. GT5 for PD is like Albert Pujols having a season where he only bats .280, hits only 30 home runs, and doesn't quite get to 100 RBIs. You still know he's the best, but he just didn't quite put it all together this season. Some people express their feelings for PD and GT5 through denial, others through anger and complaining, but they all love the franchise. I think PD is listening to all of this, and I think we'll see GT6 come out a lot faster than GT5 did, and it will be tons better. I think it will be a much more focused game, with fewer cars (not a lot fewer), more tracks, and a lot more racing action.

Exactly.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't use all tracks in the game for GT Life. Where's High Speed Ring with rain and Eiger with rain for example? And I think using SSR7 for Like the Wind would've been great.

And I also agree there should be some more B-spec events. I even made a poll in the Seasonal Event forum to see if people wanted to see them as a counterpart for the A-spec seasonal events races. B-spec isn't my most favorite mode, but if they have big payouts, I'm sure people will be more likely to do them.

We'll wait and see what they do, I guess. Just going to have to be patient for now.

I do agree with you both, PD didn't use all there tracks to good use and different B spec events would be good aswell.
The thing which bugs me is they have a great weather system on some tracks and instead they just use the boring day time version instead of rain or snow.
