That georgeous Ferrari Race car was my goal, (Thanks to a certain glitch 1 month ago it became a reality) - Without that though, it would have been a pipe dream

I never used glitches.

I'm trying to earn it.

I'm either a fool, or.. a fool.. For missing out on the glitches and duping.

The Ford GT40 Race Car '69 is the worst one but it's a prize car for B-Spec Indy 500. My target one is a Red Bull X2010 since I want all of them. I have the other 20 million credit cars.

indeed.. I was annoyed to find that there are a couple cars that sell for the game's max credits.. and no fun way to achieve the credits to purchase them. You have to admit, if the endurance prizes were more reasonable it wouldn't feel like such a chore to earn credits :\ but yeah basically I need the miura (I know it's not 20 mil but it might as well be.. you can buy 38 superveloce's for the same amount..) and the ford and the ferrari.. and to be honest I don't cheat often but it it saves me having to drive in 1428 circles for each of these, I really would have used the bday glitch for these cars..

Though, can you still b-day glitch and then just send the tickets? If so, I think I still might go that path :x

The way i look at it, i would'nt have been able to get that Ferrar, the Jag XJ13, Lambo Miura, or X2010 (In the colour i wanted) without it.

Hmm I guess I got used to grinding the Dream Car Championship over and over, though admittedly it helps to usually be in the same room, to trigger the next race :)

So far I have about 760 cars including the P4 and Ford Mk IV, and both the Ferrari F1s, plus of course the XJ13 and GT40, and also the 2D. Now saving for the Miura (which is actually my favourite of all though i think it looks a little odd in GT5, plus it is way too light and fast) but I might save up to 20MM again on the off chance that the 2J turns up, then if it doesn't, buy the Miura and grind some more...

I don't like using glitches, I know it's kinda a drag having to grind but I dunno, I just prefer not to use exploits that involve little or no effort, there's no sense of reward for my patience. Each to their own though, totally understand why many use them! And I have duped chrome paint chips I admit, as getting those legitimately is just *too* hit and miss.

When I have the Miura and 2J I will pick up the remaining LM cars when I see them as I only have 3 or 4, plus a couple of rally cars i'm missing, then very gradually every other model whilst I do other stuff :)

I've got them all, thanks to trades before the patch, no glitch, just old fashion trades, when we could trade whatever we want.

The miuras looks deserve 30 million credits

True, but check it from the side against any google pic, it's too short in GT5 in my opinion...I also have a 1:24 diecast model one here too, in yellow, and it looks way longer and more sleek.

Not sure how PD "map" the shape of the cars sometimes, you would think something like blue screen style 3D mapping with adhesive points all over the car, but they still seem to get it wrong sometimes (some of the older Elises being a good example, they look kinda fat and stubby)

How does PD determine the price of these cars?

That's a good point, some of the really expensive cars would be uber expensive in the real world for sure but 1. They are disproportionately priced against the cheaper cars and 2. There should be others in a similar bracket in GT5

For example and off the top of my head, taking some of the cars in GT5 against their "real life" values, and very roughly:

$1,000,000.00+

Jaguar XJ13
Ferrari P4
Alfa Romeo Zagato
McLaren F1

$500,000 - $1,000,000.00

Ford GT40
Ford Mark IV
Chapparal 2J/2D?
Lamborghini Miura
Bugatti Veyron (used examples vary though, and the SuperSport is over $1MM)
Shelby/AC Cobra 427 (some examples)
Mercedes Benz 300SL (might be a little high)
Pagani Zonda R

(F1 and LM cars are hard to value and would vary a lot)

OK these are veeery ballpark but the point is, there are a few cars in the mix there which are way way cheaper in GT5, which doesn't make a huge amount of sense. Whilst I personally don't mind being patient for some of those very expensive cars, the prices do seem way disproportionate compared to GT4.

Mine is the 330 P4 and the Mark IV, I duped a 1967 ticket so I'll try to get both that way. I'm not going to grind the same race a gazillion times to afford them. :crazy:

The Red Bull X2010 is the only car in the game that should be priced at 20,000,000 Cr. Everything else should be reduced to no more than 10,000,000 Cr.

The Miura in the game is a rare prototype. So it's not a regular Miura, if you can call a Miura regular. I think there's only one in existence. So it must be priceless.

About GT5 prices vs real life prices:
Jaguar XJ13 - Only one has ever been made, Jaguar refused an offer for $11.000.000 so it's priceless;
Ford Mk IV - Original car which won Le Mans is priceless, especially from those years;
Ferrari 330-P4 - Ferrari cars are always overpriced and unavailable to us "mortals" so again - priceless;
Lamborghini Miura Prototype - Priceless, you've guessed it (or above $10.000.000 for sure);
Red Bull X2010 - Much, much more than $20.000.000.

20.000.000 in GT5 is priceless in real life.
Miura is already sold, but it's worth is well above $10.000.000.

On topic, probably dark purple X2010 will be my 1st 20mil car.

The only $20,000,000 car I wanted was the XJ13... until I discovered you could win one! So now I'm not sure what I'd blow $20,000,000 on... does the UCD GT40 count????

A quick check of the prize list reveals you are right... now what?:grumpy::confused: I suppose that makes the Ferrari next up by process of elimination!

That's the one I'm after in your pic. I'm at 10g's so far. Not as bad of a grind as people made it out. I like the work required to earn these prestigious rides.

I have the 20mil for that car right now :) I have bought two (2) Enzo Ferraris to go with the four I already had :crazy:. I just hate going back to zero but I am going to in another day or so, have about 6mil in my other account, so I won't be flat broke. :dopey:

Love that car. Too bad it's not Premium.
