The last album I actually bought was In Rainbows by Radiohead. Glad I did, one of the best albums I've ever heard. I saw them live in Montreal. Marvellous day.

I need to get that. I love House of Cards. Great song.

I forgot to mention I bought a live cover of Creep by Ingrid Michaelson.

Two CDs:

My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade

Lenny Kravitz - It Is Time For Love Revolution

Five iTunes songs:

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool - Dance The Way I Feel

Hives - Tick Tick Boom

Data - J'aime pas l'art

JET - She's A Genius

Rev Theory - Hell Yeah

Edit:

Lincoln website has free download of songs used in their commercials. Props to them. 👍

How is it?

I have been debating whether or not to buy it or not. Although with BoH it's worth the buy just for the cover art.

Not as good as Horehound, but still rather good.

I could not tell you just yet, as I have not listened to it yet and I had just bought Infinite Arms 30 minutes prior to making the previous post. I picked up Cease to Begin last March and did not give that album enough play time to really form an opinion on the band. I was inspired to pick up Infinite Arms because yesterday's two hour Season Three finale of Chuck featured three songs from the album. The music selection on Chuck is pretty outstanding usually. Since I previously have listened to Band of Horses briefly and enjoy most of the music selection on Chuck, I figured I could not go wrong with picking up Infinite Arms.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Murder Ballads

"Song Of Joy" is a dark, macabre song unlike anything I've heard before. "O'Malley's Bar" is an epic and blackly hilarious story, and is perhaps the highlight of the album. Great album... 👍

I love Nick Cave. "Let Love In" is one of the greatest albums of all time, in my opinion. Murder Ballads is excellent as well. I don't think there is a bad Nick Cave album come to think about it.

Nas & Damian Marley - Distant Relatives

Get it now this album is fly, one of the best names in rap and one of the best names in reggae combine for this masterpiece.

Picked a few things up today.

The Arcade Fire - Funeral

I also bought two Oasis singles, All Around the World and Who Feels Love?.

Following up to my last post. I have listened to Cease to Begin a few times and quite like it. Infinite Arms is also good, but I do not like it as much as Cease to Begin.

いきものがかり ハジマリノウタ

Ikimono Gakari Hajimari no Uta

(if that isn't good enough for you you could translate the band name as Disappointed Living Things and the album title as 'The Beginning Songs')

I don't normally purchase CDs here in Japan. They are ridiculously expensive compared to where I used to live; Western Canada.

That said, I had to purchase this one. It's amazing. The album is exceptional from the first track all the way through to the thirteenth, which seems to be a rare thing nowadays.

I suppose you could consider it the usual late-teens/early-adulthood type fare; Love, loss, dealing with all that and living life as best you can, etc.

Two thumbs up! and I'm a music snob!!

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this album is! A masterpiece from the second "Neighborhood 1" starts to the second "In the Back Seat" ends. I've never been moved by an album like I have with this one. Have you checked out "Neon Bible?"

Yes, I actually picked up Neon Bible first. I am really good about buying music, but terrible about taking the time to listen to it after doing so. Neon Bible just made the rotation of albums in my car and I have been enjoying it thoroughly. Funeral will also be going into the car album rotation the next time I take the car out. I have only listened to a bit of Funeral and the only complaint I have with it, is the flimsy paper "case" it comes in.

Is there a way to listen besides importing it?

edit: Youtube, duh. :dunce: Eh... too hokey-folky for me.

That's about the only way I can listen to Japanese music. I wish iTunes let me purchase music from around the world. Especially the Japanese & British. :guilty:

Unfortunately, a lot of Japanese artists are pretty protective about their music finding its way onto youtube. You won't find much Ikimono Gakari on there. Not the good stuff, anyway.

Is this as good as his other albums? Insta-buy if it is!
I'm a pretty big fan, and I've liked all his previous works. Honestly though, I'm not feeling this one. But I also felt the same way about his last studio album "Sleep Through The Static", and after catching him on tour, I ended up LOVING the very same CD.

I just bought the full album 'Ministry of Sound: Dubstep 2010".

It is fairly good but not 100% what I expected.

Chali 2na - Fish Market Part II

Chali 2na was the best part of one of my fav. rap groups ever, Jurassic 5. Everything this guy touches is gold.

Nothing on youtube yet from this current disc, but here's one of my favorites from one of his other solo albums.

Against Me! - White Crosses.

Great band, another great album. They have never made an identical album, which is kinda cool. This album seems to really have polarized a lot of people, but it's a logical evolution and they still pull it off. If you never heard of Against Me! check it out. It's good stuff, also Best Buy has the album for 8 bucks.

Put on your power dome, Boogie Boy. Devo is back. Who would have guessed that after 20 years, these 60-something-year-olds would be able to prove that not only is New Wave still vital, but it still rocks hard. Something for Everybody is a must have.

I was at a record store with a friend who picked up Adele's 19 and told me "You should get this. I think you'll like it." He was right. Her voice is unique and very easy to love. Her songwriting is not quite up to the distinctiveness of her voice, but there's real potential here. I'm looking forward to more.

Continuing my Greatest Hits spree. (Going to try getting all the individual albums when I get some more cash coming in)

John Lennon -Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon (1998)

Also just got this on ebay for $7.00

A Perfect Circle -Mer de Noms (2000)

Side Note: Who came up with the crappy 2-disc cases? I wish they still had the old ones that didn't constantly break.
