Pre-ordered UK Signature Edition on Friday evening at Game. It's way too much money but I don't care, I've been waiting long enough so I'm going the whole way with it. Who knows, if it's a fairly small amount of Sig Editions I might be able to sell it for a profit :D Would never do that though, I have every GT version released in UK and I don't intend to stop collecting!

Pre Ordered the Collectors edition here in canada as soon as it was available up here. No signature here but even if there was I would still stick with the collectors as it has all I would want. (being Realistic) :D

Who needs all that fancy mumbo-jumbo? For me, just the game. Standard Edition.

This for me too, word for word.

I have the Signature Edition reserved for me at JB HI FI.
Considering the amount of extras which come with the game, $300 seems to be a good price IMO.

Not really. Your average good quality 1/48 is about $50 AUD and the rest of the stuff combined is worth about the same on top of the $100 AUD game. $200 would be a good price, $300 is extortion. Cod MW 2 got Night vision under $200 for goodness sakes.

All you guys that are getting the standard edition, why not get the collector's edition if it's only slightly more. I say that because in Australia the standard edition costs $118 and the Collector's costs $128 so for an extra $10 I really don't see anybody in Australia buying the standard over the Collector's for a measly $10. Is it that much more extra in other countries to turn you off from getting the CE? How much more is it?

@Bekimche: I agree for the Australian market, the reason is our standard game retail price is way too high so the collectors edition in comparison is a bargin. Although for the rest of the world (besides maybe NZ) there is a fairly large price difference between standard and Collectors.

It'd be around $40 more than the standard edition, but it will depend if I really do still want GT5 close to release.

Getting a chuckle out of all the people actually dishing out the cash for the SE over the CE, though.

I'm guessing not! Maybe Forza 4 instead?

Collectors edition, signature if i got the money :(

I'm going to get the signature edition, IF I can afford it! Why? Because after it's released, the only way you'll be able to get one is on Ebay or Amazon, where it'll be twice the price!

I have both the Collectors Edition and Signature Edition ordered. When I've decided which I want to get I'll cancel the other order! I'm erring towards keeping the Signature Edition...

I've done exactly the same as we might aswell keep our options open. Alot will depend on my gas/elec bills in October!

Regular Edition for me, as i have no need for unnecessary extras i won't use and as for the DLC cars they will be free later down the line or come in a $6.00 vehicle pack on PSN

Cute remark.

I will more than likely get GT5 at release, but it's up in the air if a CE is worth the $40 to me.

Just the standard edition. :/

I was all fired up for the top-of-the-line edition but I expected it to cost about half of what it is.

Collectors Edition for me, then.

Hey Vincent, reading your sig i watched that programme.Quite scary to see what happened, during that race.I'll buy the CE too i think.

Signature Ed. 👍

only 3 games this gen I need the top version:

god of war 3
the last guardian (if they make it one)
GT5

Signature Edition for me. It costs a fortune but what the heck. GT is special and an exception that bypasses all rational considerations :D

I wanted to get the US CE too, but I'll settle without the model GT-R (and 5 'artcards'). As long as I get the 11 bonus cars I'll be happy :D

Signature edition. I'll be old enough for the competition so why not, plus I'll be buying a HD LCD just for the game too.

Standard for me, and I'll buy the GT book on ebay or something. I love Gran Turismo, but I love my money even more. 👍

I canceled my CE pre order, asked Santa to give me my money gift a bit earlier and just pre ordered the Signature Edition.

Hi, standard. seen others ripped off with VIP versions of race games before :(

Seeing as life has been crap for me now for 16 months. I've got to the point in life where if I want something, and I can afford it, I'll buy it.

So the Signature Edition for me. Maybe I'm getting ripped off. But I really don't care.

I've got the signature edition pre-ordered. Why spend such alot of money on one game? Because I'm an idiot; but also because my privileges allow a whopping £37.50 off of the price (which still makes it a steep sell at £112.50, for a video game, a book, a wallet and some other bits I'm not likely to ever need or want).

Were it not for that (and the fact that I've lost my old wallet!), I may well have still bought it! But more likely, I'd have stepped down to a more sane £70 CE (the value of which was itself a debate, never mind the SE!).

Personally, I think at £150, the SE is a total rip-off (unless you're the one out of the 50,000+ who win that Merc). The collector's edition includes all of the useful bits and is itself not that cheap at £70! Again, were it not for personal circumstances drastically changing the financial impact, I'd probably not be getting it myself.

Or, maybe this is a tactic to increase my chances of scoring that Merc. ;)

Standard for me. I'll just go down to the shops on release day and pick it up. Being honest the only thing in the SE that intersts me is the Apex Book.

Honestly it's not the cost of the SE that puts me off (I work hard enough and have a bit put away :sly:), I just don't see the value on a personal front in the rest of the package, I would rather spend the extra couple of hundred bucks on my wife or kids.

Having said that i wont begrudge anyone who does purchase it, I hope you get enjoyment out of the extra goodies and with a bit of luck someone here on GTP wins the Merc. Good Luck 👍.

If you're interested in the Apex book then buy the CE (collectors edition) as it is only $10AUD RRP more than the standard edition but includes the book (among other things) with it.
