People are seriously justifying spending over twice the price of the CE for the SE because of half a dozen stealth cars?!
And people complain about the couple dollars some other games charge for DLC packs![]()
Would it be smart to wait until I know what retailers are giving away which stealth cars so I can therefor choose which stealth car to get along with my pre-ordered Collectors Edition? Or will they run out by then?
Standard edition. Other editions are sold out where I always buy my games.
I don't have to decide, they're sold out. The other customers decided for me.Really? I best get deciding then.
as long as you get your pre-order in a few days before release you should get a code. I also think all the US pre-order stores are already known.
Gamestop-McLaren F1 & Toyota Camry NASCAR
Amazon- SLS
Best Buy- GTR JGTC
I haven't heard anything about the NSX, R10 or 787B so I'm not sure if they are EU only.
Where did you hear that? Best buy has nothing about any bonuses on their site
I too think that the SE edition is a rip off but I can understand why people are chunking out this much cash for it. I myself pre ordered the collectors edition and think that it is worth every penny not because of the goodies that it comes with, but mostly because of the quality product that has been polished to near perfection that will give me hundreds if not thousands of hours of gameplay. I don't think I can say that for any other game.

A 200 pages book with the history of the automobile, driving techniques, professional racing tips, car and engine basics and tuning know-how, and reference data about Gran Turismo 5 doesn't appels to you?Standard version. None of the stuff with the collectors edition or signiture edition appeals to me.

Honestly, I am trying to figure out why the description between the EU and US versions differ on that, as the US Blog describes it as:Appeals to me, however no such book comes with any GT5 version. I'm not sure how "200+ page 'Apex' driver's magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more" translates to what you said.
Is the EU version really getting shorted 100+ pages of the book? The 300+ page exclusive Collector’s Edition book from Polyphony Digital will be essential reading for GT fans, containing everything from the history of the automobile, to driving techniques, professional racing tips, car and engine basics and tuning know-how, and reference data about Gran Turismo 5.

But I do see where hardvibes got his description.
That would be a form of piracy, an act which is frowned upon at GTP.
I think that's the long and short of it, yeah. Like me, a lot of people are more bothered about acquiring all 11 cars as early as possible because those are the things that benefit the game. The SE is the most convenient way to get them in one hit, PD know this, and charge you for the privilege. Everything else in the SE is just padding.People are seriously justifying spending over twice the price of the CE for the SE because of half a dozen stealth cars?!

If they tell me we europeans have to wait another 3 weeks, they can screw me and i will preorder the US CE.
