Which camera view do you race in the most?

Roof 9 out of 10 times

Why?
Cause cockpit looks like this:

I use cockpit view if I am doing career races (except with some cars without a cockpit like the Merc Vision GT as the black cockpit and small windscreen makes it too dark), chase cam if I am doing time trials or anything that requires some sort of precision (I struggle for apexes etc with cockpit view)

I use bumper cam when I first get a new car for a while then, when I'm comfortable with how the car handles, I switch to the cockpit mode. It's pretty crazy how different your braking points are in the cockpit compared to the bumper cam.

It depends on my position, and what I'm doing.

If I'm not in first, or if it's a battle for first, I use the bumper cam (default one).

If I'm well ahead, I use cockpit mode.

Same here, except roof cam, not bumper. Cockpit for premiums if ahead or in easy races.

Bumper cam, for the sense of speed, but it really makes it hard to judge corners when there aren't markers. I'm always looking for natural markers, shadows or bumps, or trees or something. When I just can't beat a new track I change to the overhead view so I can see the corners coming up better.

I don't use the cockpit cam because it shakes too much and it covers more than half the screen, I can't see the road properly (don't know how anyone else can..). I use mostly roof cam because I can see the road ahead and how tight a curve is, unlike the bumper cam. This allows me to drive well even in tracks which I have never driven on. On chase cam however the car seems to go slower to the eye so it is good for driving really fast cars, like the Redbull X2014.

cockpit because using manual i like to be looking at the track and at the same time my gear and revs. slowly moved from roof cam though to cockpit and plus i find it more rewarding and realistic as GT goes.

Whenever possible, Cockpit view, although it gets me in trouble when playing online with friends since I tend to be a little more oblivious of what's going on around me in this view. The blind spot indicators are a big welcome for GT6 though.

Otherwise, I've used bumper cam from time to time.

Bumper when I'm really pushing TTs or in a competitive race as I'm more precise and the hud is much better. Cockpit when there's no pressure.

Bumper cam is used on cars without an interior.
Roof cam seems to understeer more
Cockpit cam(narrow) without hud or suggested gear indicator with known cars.
Cockpit cam(narrow) with hud and suggested gear with tracks/cars while learning

I've always found that I could "feel" the car more so when in cockpit view than in outside view or bumper cam. There are a few cars that I wish offered a better view out the front like the Toyota Minolta. It seems like many right hand turns are blind corners.

Getting to know a new track also helps to use top cam. It gives a better view over hills and around corners than cockpit cam does.

The cam that shows the front hood of the car. What is this view called? That's what I use.

I would like to use cockpit view, and I don't understand people complaining about shakes, because there are no shakes! Has anyone seen the real vs ingame Nuburgring? I want it to shake like the real thing. I want the helmet to bob more than my bobbleheads. GT6 doesn't. I feel that Julian can sit in the passenger seat and not spill a drop of his drink.

Chase camera for me. I didn't know I was in such a minority. I just like seeing what car I am driving. Doesn't feel like I am driving a totally different car if I can't see it. I have played this way since GT2. Also like to hear the exhaust sounds, even if some are less to be desired.

I try to make the driving experience as realistic as possible - Cockpit view only.

I yearn for FOV adjustment though, especially in the claustrophobic premium cockpits.
And at the moment cockpit view tends to negatively affect the framerate and general quality of the picture to the extent that I'm dizzy/tired after 5 minutes of driving 👎

Roof view here. I just like the way that you actually see the car while driving, and it isn't really effected by standard cars like interior view is. Also Its what I used from the start which might have to do with it.

Mostly cockpit™ when driving with wheel and sometimes 3rd person when couchsurfing with DS3. One for immersion one for fun :D

Most of the time I'll use the bumper cam, but I've been using cockpit view more often lately, especially in cars with left hand drive (e.g. FR-S and 458 Italia). I'm trying to get used to the right hand drive cockpit view, but my times are still quite a bit slower vs. bumper cam.

Cockpit of course because that's how I drive real cars.:lol: I have yet to drive a car sitting on the roof, hovering behind or strapped to the front bumper. Hahaha.
I was having this discussion with a friend not long ago. I drive too but in a game the interior view is too far back, even with the narrowest view. When driving IRL you're focusing ahead and can only just see the top of the dashboard and steering wheel with peripheral vision, whereas in a game you can see the drivers hands and speedo quite clearly as well as nearly all the wheel. Like @Vegard i too yearn for FOV adjustment.

Bumper for me. Once and a while I will use cockpit view but as cool as it looks it doesn't seem as real to me. For one I'm already holding a wheel so seeing a second steering wheel bothers me. Also, I feel the sense of speed is reduced. When I drive a real car all I see is what is outside the window. Everything inside the car is out of focus and in my peripheral view (Unless I take my eye off the road to look at the gauges or something inside the car). With the game you are kind of forced to look at the outside and the inside all at once and I find it distracting.

That's just what I was trying to say. You beat me to it though. LOL

Cockpit because it's what I've used for years with rFactor and iRacing, it's just the most intuitive and easiest for me now even when I use the DS3.

I don't understand how people use chase cam, looks far too arcady for my tastes (reminds me of an old arcade game called Cruisin USA), and it feels like you're a giant pushing one of these around:
