Nah, it's as simple as it is, GT3 World Series, for three main reasons:

1: I couldn't (and still can't) think of a really good not-cliché title sponsor
2: It's not officially supported by GTP
3: I've pretty much made myself available for hire. Communication sort of stopped existing from one day to the other.
1: Bosch? BP? BBS?
2: Same as the rest, really.
3: That explains a lot. Seems like nas IS RACE anymore.

I like the simple title. It's a change from the normal and it keeps it in play if some changes occur. If nothing else it could be 'The GT3 World Series presented by _____' but I vote to keep it as is.

We may have a slight issue regarding secondary liveries - they appear to not work as intended.

When I was testing how to run things through the ingame championship system (by means of 1337 h4x0r skillz), I discovered that some mods used a code that apparently changed the textures of cars at individual rounds of the championship - much like the secondary livery system works. When I tried it out just to test it, it actually worked.

Problem is, possibly in addition to the amount of general confusion my game has had recently (ask @Crashbroke23 about that), it appears to have stopped working. The issue is no bigger than I can manually overwrite the Primary (what I've set it to use normally) in the game files and switch back and forth between textures as necessary, but I will look further into the issue.

Laguna Seca should happen this week regardless.

That there is one sexy BMW, I tell you what. Pardon my Texan. But really- that's sweet! I even like the little WipEout style design on the roof.

Michelin Racing Nabs Pole At Laguna Seca
GTR2_2016_02_25_08_05_23_342.jpg

Michelin Racing will have the best chance of taking points ahead of this weeks race in a not-so-sunny California

Last round at Bathurst saw the European and Pacific teams get their backs into the game, and now it seems the Brazilians have had the same idea.

After 2x15 minutes of very wet qualifying, with second session being wetter than the first, the #30 Michelin managed a blisteringly quick 1:23.2, but the road to pole wasn't easy.

During the first session, nearly every car on the starting grid had at least a moment on provisional pole, proving the unpredictability of wet surfaces.

The entire qualifying results can be found below.

Trivia: The replay file for this round is the largest replay file in my library apart from S2 and Monza 12H (but that's because those races were actually longer).

Also I've added a little something in the OP.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Congratulations!!! That's a well deserved pole for us! Our drivers worked so hard to achieve these results!

Wait, my drivers are still in midpack? That's all part of #teamstrategy

We are confusing opponents (while my drivers are confusing themselves).

I'm not saying it was pornography, but it was pornography.

The very intitial put-the-clips-together has been done. Due to a combination of some clips corrupting and me deciding I'd spend the evening with family, commentary for Laguna Seca won't be done until tomorrow. It is a delay, but nowhere as big as Bathurst.

I'll also go ahead and say Nürburgring will be a stream-video rather than a highlights compilation to test feasibility for "shorter" (i.e. less than 12 hours) races. I have realised I'm pretty much the only person who's not already made the move and quite frankly, when the only tools for GTR2 that can work for map and standings board only works when "live", it's a natural transition.

Why is my AI always just nowhere? I'd need a boost of like 2500hp to get up to the front to fight.

Ah, what a lovely ambiguous and non-spoiling thread sub-title... Well, it spoils that 'Murica won, but it's 'Murica, you know that us apple pies are good at 'Murican track racin'. And I do suppose that a new mic is in order, because it's clearly messing up your good commentary skills, Morten. Technology issues suck, don't they? #1stworldproblems #audiomalfunction

I will say this; there is one Beemer driver who will certainly be mad over some loss of bodywork. Those tank panels don't come cheap, right? As for my race, for a refreshing and definitely welcoming change in terms of emotions, one image is enough to describe my feeling;

So, Michelin, how does it feel to be wrong? :mischievous:

With a masterful drive in the rain with the ailing BoP'd B6, how do you girls feel about the way your race went?

Haruhi Suzumiya: "We did CRAP! What a HORRENDOUS result today! We could have gotten first if it weren't for a dimwitted organizer forgetting to cap the power of the Viper! I swear, those Italian bozos must have payed to make those faux-American cars go up front! It's unbelievable how they get away with this! This car was the best out there and everyone else knew it!"

Dank Memer: "So you think the SRT teams should be given a very big hit to their performance? You did finish a very good 3rd..."

Haruhi Suzumiya: "Unless the series wants another Mercedes "Hamilton and Rosberg" afternoon soap opera, then they should replace their engines with damn lawnmower engines! And that playboy team in the McLaren too! They aren't exempt from this! They were just sandbagging today!!"

Driver of the #79 was unavailable for comments, due to being ushered to his motorhome and locked in. Many muffled sounds, words thought to be of the vulgar nature and objects being thrown, were heard though and raised the question...What kind of insulation did they put in this thing?

And just so I don't start getting soft: 🤬! 🤬 Bull:censored:! What kind of 🤬 🤬 was that 🤬! Did the brakes just go "🤬 it!"?

Very cool race. Maybe not as insane as the Bathurst round, but just as great. Cool stuff.

European Cars Strike Back In Japan
upload_2016-3-11_14-34-30.png

Leading the field from the green flag in Autopolis will be the #2 RTi Mercedes, followed by a BMW, an Aston Martin, a Porsche, an Audi and the McLaren

The competition heats up again as the GT3WS heads for round 4.

Despite 10 kgs of extra weight, the #2 RTi Team NZ managed to take pole position at the Autopolis race course, which lays asphalt to the japanese round of the championship.

After a long run of.. uhh, mediocrity, in many series, the owner of the #79 can be proud to see their car lining up in second place - a good chance for points.

The entire qualifying results can be found below.

Race should be out this weekend.

This BoP is becoming a meme

Gib 50 HP plz

No. I need that 50hp to challenge at the front.

Besides, just blast some Eurobeat to the girls over the radio and it'll magically give the extra 50hp.

Anyways;
Best starting result yet. Hope to get all over those pesky Germans to carry the torch for Perl-Speed, especially with Ryan and Scarlett starting outside the top 10.

Wait, we actually qualified 4th?! I think that's the first time all year the Porsche has been in the top 10, let alone top 5.
