Well, I can say that the spoilers work, because the alerts feed has noted it as me being mentioned in your post. Sadly, as I'm in Uni right now (I'm using a laptop to write this don't you know), I won't be able to watch the video with sound 'till I get home and post my reaction to what will probably be another underwhelming race after a good haul at Laguna...

Well, 13th wasn't what we were looking forward to but our point position is showing that we're doing something right and we've finished all the races we've entered so that helps a lot. Great job to the 79 though for being up there all day. Now I just gotta ask BK if he can let us barrow that horseshoe :p

Saltires flew with pride above Autopolis after the #10 Perl-Speed GP Aston Martin of Gary Slater and Chris McDonald took a breakthrough victory after a hard race with Jamie Nield and B.K Glover.

Slater remarked, "It's fantastic, to finally get that first win is unbelievable. After 3 rounds of mediocrity, we desperately need that break, and to finally get to that top step is a huge relief. Jamie and B.K were up for a fight and we gave it to them in the only way we know. Glover was especially relentless in that tank of a Z4, but we were able to hold out in our plucky Vantage, especially after Chris took over. Absolutely mega result."

Four races into the season Swift Autosport is left with nothing to show for them but a bunch of torn up Corvettes. We sat down with team owner Seth Smith and asked him what he thought. He had this to say.

"Not much to say about these first races other than we did what we could. I'm hoping that we can get things figured out soon. Cause if I'm completely honest right now. Our budget doesn't look good for next season. I'm hoping the test we have planned will allow us to get everything sorted out. But as for these first four races. We're gonna put them behind us and hope for the best for the remainder of the season."

First...THUMBNAIL'D!

Second, it worked for me.

Something is working! We had a chance at the win, legit! The speed is here, the crew is good, the driver.....still needs a hell of a lot of work. However, when racing in a state of mind that could easily be described as 'Dangerously Unstable', it seems to be at it's fastest and yes most aggressive. 3rd is hopefully a start, looking to start pounding home the wins.

I forgot to open the standings sheet back up yesterday, but that is done now.

It seems the general BoP is still a little bit of a mess, but generally the first four races has been a case of the McLaren being in the top 5 all but once, the Corvettes (and partially the Fords) being at the back. Generally, the other cars have been sort of around the midfield, not taking many podiums but always scoring points.

TL;DR the Corvettes and Fords will get buffed and the McLaren nerfed.

I subscribed to the GTR2 Series channel on YouTube. I raced Autopolis before as an rFactor mod. That track is TOUGH! When the (then) JGTC raced this track starting in 2003, one driver described Autopolis as a "Japanese Nürburgring." In fact, Japan has some pretty tough courses. Stellar drive by BKGlover in that race.

You do know that this is B-Spec, right? :p

Yeah, I know it's B-Spec. I'm just saying, though what I did in the previous post. Can't a GTPlaneteer rave/rant even in the case of AI drivers?

I never said you couldn't. I thought you meant that @BKGlover had legitimately driven for that win, not his AI driver (B.K. Glover), so apologies for the misunderstanding

Brazil is slightly delayed, but I hope to get this round done before Wednesday. Next up will be Nürburgring in about two weeks time, which will be attempted as a livestream for reasons of Nordschleife.

Some changes to the cars ahead of Interlagos:

- Corvette has had ~25 hp added
- Ford GT has had ~20 hp added
- 650S has had ~40 hp deducted

Hopefully, that should make the Corvettes and Fords more competitive and the McLaren less likely to score a top 5.

And meanwhile, the Vipers get none of the satisfaction... I suppose we are just that damm good. At least we are not getting gimped either, which is certainly a plus.

Surprising Pole Position At Interlagos

Erik Mitchell and Jim Owen proved the Corvette is now competitive

For long, the Chevrolet Corvette has been a running gag in the world of GT3 racing, consistently finishing very close to the back and never really scoring any point.

That may end at the final non-european round of the GT3WS, as, after a BoP adjustment, the pole sitting car was not exactly one of the usual suspects. When the time ran out for the second session, it was the #50 Swift Autosport Corvette which was registered with the fastest time, followed closely by the Nissan and the #40 SLS.

The championship leading #3, also affected by a BoP change, qualified 23rd.

The entire qualifying results can be found below.

After a dismal start to the season Swift Autosport find themselves at the top of the leader board. The #50 Rockstar sponsored Corvette will be starting the race from pole while the #5 falls just short of the front row with a qualifying position of 4th. Will the Ahmed brothers in the #5 can catch up to Mitchells and Owens to give the team their first 1-2 finish of the season or will both cars continue to have troubles? Those questions and more will be answered this weekend at Interlagos. We'll see you there.

We're there or there abouts in the top 10, but it's down to the #11 to carry the squad like how I did in Japan.

I'd like to say it was planned, but during recording of Interlagos (which is rendering right now), I may have forgotten that the earbuds I'm using for listening (the headset I prefer to use is sort of missing a cable atm) also has a mic (in the cable) and that the PC for some reason prefer that over the other "actual" headset I have and use mostly for this kind of thing.

TL;DR my voice isn't going to be as loud, but for some reason not as "brutal" either. Maybe I should just stick to mics-in-cables for these things?
