My strategy?

I'm currently grinding the second Supercar Festival race, which takes place on the Daytona Oval. Using the Gamestop NASCAR car gurantees quick and easy money for me. 👍

1 create a new user.

2 create a fake psn account with today as birthday and 1944 as year. Email can be fake.

3 add your real account as a friend.

4 log out of fake account, on to real account and accept request.

5 log back on to fake account and start a gt5 game.

6 get free car for your bday

7 go to community, click on real account, click gift, and gift the free car you just got.

8 go to ps3 home screen and delete the game save data for your fake account.

9 repeat steps 5-7 until you are bored

10 log into real account, accept gifts in community, sell the cars and pile up money.

1944 gives you a vw that you can sell for 75k
1967 gives some nicer cars that can't be sold
1979 gives you a crap car that isn't worth your time

Very nice but of course I'd never try that ;)

As a beginner (I bought the game tonight) I have been calculating my cash per minute ratio...

To start with I played it with only what I would normally have been given. Then I started using the Chromeline cars when I needed money to mod another car. Then there's my preorder cars... I didn't get a preorder car code when I first picked up my copy. Then when I went back and got one the first code didn't work... Finally I went back and got another tonight so now my plan is simple!

Professional Series Supercar Challenge at Daytona (Which I'd just unlocked)

PROFIT!

Gamestop FTW!

I haven't even driven the McLaren yet (although I'm looking forward to it). I hate NASCAR but I have to admit they know how to make a car go around Daytona effortlessly. I have to use careful steering input but I can do the whole race hammer down!

haha i was doing the same thing (Super Car Festival - High Speed Ring & Daytona collecting the 17,300 with my Stealth cars. , funny how at some point most of us will do the very same strategy regardless of communicating or not.

That bday thing is a huge pain in the rear! You must use a real email add. Much easier/quicker just to race. My new guy did end up with my two pre order cars somehow?? Wonder if its a glitch and if you had all the preorder chrome cars if the new user you create would get those??

For 5 laps of the High Speed Ring (Nascar Series, Extreme Series) you can get 45,600 credits, takes about 5 mins 20 secs. Over 540,000 credits an hour I reckon. You also get over 4,000 exp points everytime you win aswell.

Edit - It also appears to be a very good race to earn the 'Human Stopwatch' trophy. :D

British Lightweights on London in the Professional Series takes 3 mins flat in a McLaren F1 Stealth. And the payoff is 24,000 credits. Just tried it :)

Nothing that good yet, but I've done the Lamborghini Event in Rome quite a few times with my Countach 25th Anniv. 610BHP, 1240KG, Racing soft tyres and I can do it in under 3min 30sec for $24k.

Kind of an on the edge of your seat thing even though it's an easy win but with the countach you have to be alert being RWD and so light... also going almost up to 300KMp/h on those streets is fun but challenging at times. Much better than Daytona over and over IMO!

Also, I haven't fully tuned the LP400 Countach yet, but I think it might be better because it's lighter and you don't need insane power for a track like that. I got just over 3:45 with only like 450HP and around 940KG (off memory). That's still on sports softs too.

When I need to I will do NASCAR at Indianapolis it's easy with Soft tyres and worth 45k in under 5 minutes ,also the whole NASCAR championship pays quite well and you can skip a race and still win.

When and how do you unlock this event? Excuse my ignorance if it has been made clear elsewhere. I have been focusing on grinding my Spec-B driver and have not encountered it.

Supercar race 2 (level 11), Daytona. 17,300 for less than 3 minutes. I'm doing it with my GS preorder bonus Nascar while waiting for the used cars to refresh.

Doing this too!

And the speed its fun... I'm doing with the Prize Challenger SRT8 I won. It's actually @ 665hp :) and its fun!

You unlock the Extreme events at lvl 20 I think it is, but most of the events bar 1 are lvl 21 & above.

I'm currently doing the Extreme European Car event thing. Rome circuit, 1 minute 5 seconds per lap in tuned up Audi R8 (I would use the Veyron but the R8 is better overall). Gets 89k credits and 4k experience. Takes around 5 minutes and 20 seconds.

I've had this game 3 days now and I still haven't done a Sim race yet! Once I do get into Sim (or GT Mode or whatever), I'm going to do pretty much what I did back in my GT, GT2, GT3, and GT4 days, which is just grind those lower events over and over, sell any prize car which possibly shows up. And if there is not prize, I'll still do 'em.

But right now I'm just golding the B-licenses. That, I'm hoping, will earn some cash because my driver is not liking his "first car" (a Tiburon). He plans on selling it as soon as he can afford something more to his liking.

I've got all my cash from special events. So for I got 17 cars, but every time I get enough money I buy a car tune it and let it sit until I get ready to race it. All my cars have either been Race mod or tuned.

That doesn't work anymore. You don't get paid out or gifted cars after you've already completed the race.

That's the exact event I do for cash flow...
Just get in your Veyron or (insert other insanely fast car here), and 4 mins later...

$$$$$$$$$

Yep, 36k for 3 1/2 minutes driving. Best cash event until you qualify for the Extreme Indy race.

I got bored doing it in the Veyron. I've been doing it in the HEP G37 and S2000 06 (turboed). Still finish 30 seconds ahead but not as boring (to me).

The turbo event is pretty good for some quick cash. 3laps of highspeed ring gives you 36.000cr. Try it.;)

Nice but will have to be level 16 first. Gonna have to race on the supercar festival several times.

Whats a good car that you can outrun all? Lamborghini Murcielargo lp 670 SV, Murcielargo lp 640, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Nissan GTR spec-v, Audi R8 V10.?

EDIT: okay never mind, I will be upgrading my spec-v instead.

good info!! I am definitely working too hard for my cash/credits!!

Is this information compiled anywhere or by anyone (even if incomplete or large gaps in data)?

If not, can we make this a STICKY thread?
:)
