Right now I'm just using/training B-Spec Bob at the moment to gear him up as well as earn some pocket cash at the moment. I unlocked extreme events, but not many of the cars I want to use from the used car dealership are coming up, so more B-Spec cash is gonna flow in for a while.

The special events Loeb rally challenge gave good amounts of cash, and is also really easy to do on the controller by the way.

That doesn't work anymore. You don't get paid out or gifted cars after you've already completed the race.

Really? HOld on, let me check. I just did both Beginner's Go-Kart races..should be pretty quick to try them again.

*fires up PS3, does race at Tokyo Bay again*

Wow, you were right!

If it's any consolation, 24,000 cr. seemed an awful lot of money for winning just those two races. I was thinking "geez, what's everyone complaining about, if there's that sort of money thrown around for Kart racing?" Now I know.

for expert series i think the european championship rome circuit (or whichever contains the rome circuit that allows european cars only) is one of the better ways to get some money.

for extreme series, if you get the toyota race car out of one of the events (i forgot which one) you throw some racing softs on that car and run the indy 500 track in the last event which should give you about 80,000 or so and 9.7k xp on top of that.

The toyota race car is amazingly overpowered in this race. you can do about 220 MPH around the entire track with full acceleration through it. Should only take about 6:30.

Could someone confirm which event you have to win?

I THINK he's referring to the Toyota Minolta race car and I THINK that is from Like the Wind event. (I remember it being mentioned in another thread, I haven't got it yet)

I think that is the one. FYI you can use the Pagani ZONDA that you can buy from the dealer itself to win that series if you are having trouble with it.

Costs about 2.6 million but its a good car. Throw some racing soft tires on there to make it easier.

Exploits = SUCK!

My strategy? Race race race spend race race spend spend mod race mod

Rinse and repeat.

I totally agree with the race - mod - race mentality...but I just hate having to spend money on a Toyota Yaris, racing it, losing cuz it's too slow, spending money, racing to finish the race.

If I have to compete in crappy events, I would rather it be fun and time worth spent with a car I actually enjoy driving. Or if I have to still use the Yaris, make it one lightend with 300hp so it's actually fun to drive. 👍

I've spend a lot of money but it doesnt come in too easily, is it possible to re-do the special events? as they give a lot of easy cash.

I'm currently doing the Extreme European Car event thing. Rome circuit, 1 minute 5 seconds per lap in tuned up Audi R8 (I would use the Veyron but the R8 is better overall). Gets 89k credits and 4k experience. Takes around 5 minutes and 20 seconds.

This or the Indy race I think is going to be the best solution for cash.. Now I'm only at Level 19 so I need to bust ass to get to 20 already

Got a new slightly better one after finding the Seven Fireblade in the used car lot. British lightweiught London. With my supercharged fully tuned fireblade (240hp I think) I can do it in under 3 min on sports hard tyres and win 24,100. Should be quicker on race tyres, but without a doubt less fun :)

Only 30 sec quicker than doing Lambo special in my Countach, still something. Besides the Countach needs a rest, already losing power after the rebuild :(

If that is the one, you only get 70,000 credits and 3564 exp not 80,000+ & 9.7k exp.

Well heres my strat.

Doing the Lvl. 19 Polyphony Digital Cup first track ( Circuito de Madrid Mini ) over and over again seems like a good strat for money and xp for me.

I did alot of it yesterday in my max tuned Bugatti and it took about 3 min 40 sec to complete the 5 lap track. Its an easy track where you have to turn right 3 times pr lap. Top speed about 370 ( Cant remember correctly )

You earn 32.000 Cr. And abit above 3000 xp. And thats for 3 min 40 sec.

So its faster than the Supercar festival daytona track which i did in 2 min 4 sec. But the "going out and joining again takes some time aswell"

I hope this strat helps a bit.

Heres some pics of my crazy driving overtaking the other players by one lap.

Bugatti and ZR1 on Daytona Supercar... and necro keep on driving on ipod repeat. 4,841,817 dollars and counting.

Keep on driving keep on driving keep on driving in a pick-up truck, sick bikers, escapees from rikers...

1 create a new user.

2 create a fake psn account with today as birthday and 1944 as year. Email can be fake.

3 add your real account as a friend.

4 log out of fake account, on to real account and accept request.

5 log back on to fake account and start a gt5 game.

6 get free car for your bday

7 go to community, click on real account, click gift, and gift the free car you just got.

8 go to ps3 home screen and delete the game save data for your fake account.

9 repeat steps 5-7 until you are bored

10 log into real account, accept gifts in community, sell the cars and pile up money.

1944 gives you a vw that you can sell for 75k
1967 gives some nicer cars that can't be sold
1979 gives you a crap car that isn't worth your time

I am trying to do this, so that I can gift a couple of cars back to myself, so I can start the game over with the car I want, but PSN says the accounts I just made, do not exist.

Extreme, American Series 5 laps of the oval takes less than 5 mins in the Chaparel 2J and gives 98,000cr.

That's the most efficient grind I've found so far.

👍

Same as i'm doing from the Loading of the Race and back to it after Race Conclusion takes 5 mins and 22 seconds for that you get the mentioned 98,000cr , plus you get 4440 Level Points

Rinse and Repeat i'm over 3 million credits now :dopey: and up to Level 25

Just have to think of it as an endurance event, but with loading screens

Whats your cash strategy?

As it's going now I'm considering......

Mine is to spend when i find the cars i want and only grind when i have to.

Im approaching level 15 and have just under 200.000 credits. Ive just found a race in the professional a spec which pays 20.000 for just 5 laps. I believe its the 80's japanese??. Im sure there are more but ive not tried any more yet. As im not that far into the game, 20.000 seems like a windfall compared to the pittance ive been racing for before.

In GT4 I ran the 2nd event in the special conditions hall (2 races, 2 laps each), and sold the car for what, 375k or so?

What is everyone doing for big money fast, in GT5?

I'm on level 20 and didn't touch a spec yet. Only licenses and special events, almos all gold...

7 drift cars tuned and ready with money i earned in specials and half a million left to spare....

Time to start a- spec i guess. :)

Polyphony Digital Cup for me. Takes like 20 minutes. Get 32k x3 + 98k for winning the champ + about 10k xp.

Polyphony digital cup. Compete in the first event(on Madrid Mini) over and over, and you´ll be getting like 30K and more than 2000 of EXP for a race that takes less than 5 minutes. I use all of my fast cars one by one so I don´t get bored.

I don't have the time or inclination to do this but can understand the appeal...what i love more though is that somewhere, maybe, a 66 year old GT fan is getting an old VW Kubelwagen (or Schwimmwagen?) for his real birthday :)

I do the Like the wind indy race. 70k per 5 minutes. I bought an Enzo and painted it matte black (extra 370,000 to buy the LFA with the matte black paint chip) in about an hour and a half.
