He hasn't clarified, but I think he might have been talking about the Road Course, who's turn 1 actually is pretty interesting.

No it was daytona speedway(not the road course). You have to be skilled in cornering to get it right, you know, because if you come of the racing line, just a little, you will crash and burn :)

Are you one of the commentators on hand for the real Indy 500 televised races? They keep a jar of Vaseline and a box of tissues handy and especially enjoy Indy's turn four. Last year they labeled it as the most challenging corner in all of motorsports.

Bob? I didn't know Bob posted on these boards. I'm glad you could take time away from standing on the brake pedal as you creep around Daytona superspeedway to speak with us. Now I'll let you get back to braking. Good luck, Bob.

lol.

Count me in as another Laguna Seca Corkscrew fan.

Thought I ask what everyone's favorite corners are and why, wether it be for complexity or beauty.

A few of my favorites:
Rome- 3rd corner is nice and feels rather...sexy...on the exit.
Cape Ring- the 2-3 corners on the back strait aswell as the huge "circle" are fun.
Grand Valley- corners 3 and 4 are fast and fun.

There's already a thread about this.

Off the top of my head, La Sarthe corner off the Indy straight then the Ses.

Nordscleife first corner after the turn north cause it's a top speed break and a left that you can hit just right and make time. Also the high speed right on the next to last straight cause it's a beautiful top speed maneuver all the way to the break and turn up the hill.

London T2-T4 are pretty good. Indy road course has really nice T2-T4 or so too. Nordschleife has many nice corners too but hard to write which. Cape rings has nice flow imho but that long loop isn't all that great.

Turn 6 (Under the tunnel) at Laguna Seca, then you nail it up the hill to the corkscrew. Mighty fine!

From Bergwerk all the way along to Mutkurve at the Nurburgring. Flat to the mat, great daring passes and spills had to be along this part!

I guess with the new tracks, hands down- the Cape Ring circle. When I was still hoping to get my PlayStation 3 and GT5, I always wanted to see a drift video of one driver getting sideways around the big Cape Ring circle. I don't know if it's better going uphill or downhill at the Cape Ring circle. Usually in drifts, you obviously love some downhill action.

So I'm going to vote for the Cape Ring circle.

Every corner off the Nurburgring :sly:
Suzuka: Spoon curve,Esses,Degner 2
Monza: Parabolica and chicane no.2
La sarthe: Porsche curves,both chicanes

The swooping right-left at SSR5. The one that goes downhill and to the right, then back uphill and to the left.

So awesome.

I love the curve just before that, on Clubman Route 5. The left-right leading up to the exit ramp is such a blast, especially when you can get everything timed where running at the very edge of the car's performance, you can get that right-hander to dump you off right on the exit ramp against the wall.

6th and 7th turns at Le Sarthe. The way they're banked and how easy it is to ride them on the edge, I just love them.

There's already a thread about this.

Hence why i rarely visit this site anymore. The amount of double and triple threads is outrageous. And the news feed is ass anymore. Completely useless information. It should ONLY be info about the game itself.

Cape Ring Spiral Bridge is epic.
130R on Suzuka always is very good to me.
Indianapolis at Le Sarthe.
The last corner of GVS.
The last corner of Deep Forest.
The last corner of Trial Mountain if you can hit the hill well enough :D
The small complex section of Tokyo R246 after the two long 90 degree turns.
The long hairpin at Madrid.

2nd to last and last corner on Deep Forest.
Flugplatz on the Ring.
Florida hairpin on GVS (Look at a map of the US, then GVS. You'll see why that name ;D)
