Who Else Has Alternate Accounts?

I have 5 accounts -- I set them up during GT5 for gift purposes and now find it is fun to run Campaign mode with all of them. Occasionally run Sport races in them but that isn't really where my interests lie.

I also have a couple GT5 trade account holdovers I maintain a GT save on. I should probably just let it go and focus on one account.

Multiple save files under one profile would be nice to have files to experiment with without an entirely separate psn account.

Wouldn’t really work with your account being specifically tied to your Sport mode progress.

I have two in the NA region. Originally did it for testing how easy it was to get to SR/S.

Turned out to be a blessing with the new penalties.

I use my newer A/S account for FIA events and lobbies only. The original account I use for everything without worrying about my ratings getting tanked by impatient idiots.

I have 2 accounts since GT6, one was career, one was online :sly: ...
I only used one so far ... will use the second if I get in the mood to start all over again for fun.

How do you create an account outside of your region, does it require a a completely separate PSN account?

Started a second account to go through Career Mode again in GT6. Haven’t used it in GTS as yet. Different racing regions sounds like a good idea for another account but sorry, won’t be adding you @Renrag39, you are too fast for a slow guy like me :D

Nah I'm not. I have my moments but they're few and far inbetween. I'm about average and definitely not too great in a race. Choking etc.
The wins are coming thick and fast atm but I'm pitted against far less experienced drivers atm. That's all I have on my side tbh, experience.

yep. just lie about the location. I now reside @ silverstone

Next we will be reading threads as people are complaining and wondering why their PS4 system has been bricked by PSN for creating fraudulent accounts using false information to create the account.

I would read the PSN terms of service agreement including the fine print very closely before I falsely created an account in another region I was not physically in.

If you think Sony cannot tell your system when online is not actually in a different region than what you are claiming I think you may be in for a surprise.

TOS has the normal language about providing false or inaccurate information during account registration. I didn't see anything that says you have to use the account in the country it's registered in. Only mention of residence is for arbitration or transactions which can be verified by your credit card. Also nothing granting them the right to brick your PS4.

edit: Just found it "...including termination or suspension of your Account or associated Accounts of your children, automatic removal or blockage of content, implementation of upgrades or devices intended to discontinue unauthorized use, permanent or temporary disablement of any system or device through which you receive PSN Services..."

You all just turned your PS4 into a doorstop!

I use a VPN. Is that prohibited?

If not, as far as Sony are concerned, as long as I don't commit fraud by pretending to be someone else, which I don't, I can't see which rules I am breaking as most of the time I'm probably pinging out of Bangladesh or Switzerland etc.

Wait, if you can't use a different account than your region in what about those who live in countries that don't have PSN support?

Mind you, Bahrain used to be one of those countries until it got slight support back in late 2014/2015 I believe.

--------
I already have several accounts: One Bahraini account for main useage. A US account for PS+ and buying some DLC's for NTSC games. A UK account for buying stuff back then. A UAE account also for similar reasons back then. Theres some few more but not sure.

I only play on my main PSN account tho.

I didn't see anything about a VPN. I was joking about the doorstop.

I really don't think anyone creating an account in another region has anything to worry about. Just don't abuse it by creating hundreds of accounts or being a troll and it should be fine. Personally, I wouldn't attach a credit card to an account in another region.

Sony is probably more than happy to have the extra accounts.

You can't attach a credit card from your region to another PSN region's account.

I got it! :D Was just genuinely curious if there was anything prohibiting a VPN.
I probably seem a bit troll like atm but I'm racing clean, just a bit quicker than most E's. I'll soon be at my level though and getting trounced again!

Not saying that Sony will take action only by providing false information to create the account you are actually in violation of the terms of service and are at risk IF Sony were to choose to pursue the issue.

I am just one that chooses to follow the rules in my old age as not worth the taking the chance and the results that violating the rules could bring down. I like not wondering if today is the day Sony decided to take action or not every time I cranked up my PS4. LOL!

I think Sony does have allowances if you live in a country that is not covered under a current active PSN region.

I’m playing on my alternate account Pyano1132, I use that account to separate online friends from real life ones. I’ll play games that none of my friends own on Pyano1132. And then I use my other account to play the games that my close friends own.

That’s why I don’t appear to have PS+ even though I play online frequently. I share it across both accounts.

I have an NA account which I sometimes use for FIA races, as they are at a more convenient time for me in that region. I don't use a VPN because it's not necessary; I do sometimes live at the address listed on my NA account, just not as often as I'd like.

Will add your NZ account @Renrag39 and hope to see you slowly pulling away from me sometime in the future.

The region locking was a bit of a PITA for me at first. I started the game on my normal NA account, and unlocked most things before I really jumped into Sport mode and noticed the region locking. I live in China for most of the year, so I ended up needing to get used to phantom 10 second penalties from me lagging all over the track, or bite the bullet and start a new with an HK account.

Huh, and if you move countries for whatever reason you'd create a new account for it?

I have e two accounts - one UK and one Bg. The UK I created long before there was a local store and since I've bought tons of stuff and ps+ subscription, can't really switch. Now I have to race with wrong flag above me :( If I could gift cars I'd move them to the other.
Anyway if Sony allowed switching or transferring between regions/stores it would resolve quite a lot of issues for many people. I don't fancy buying electronic vouchers for the store, so its not always about the fineprint.
Anyway no matter what region account I play in, there are still too many Polish drivers around me :D

I have 6 psn accounts from different regions. The oldest one is about 9 years old. Rest assured Sony is very unlikely to ban accounts unless it's something serious. Whenever plus expires I sub on the region where it is the cheapest at that moment. Sure Sony can ban at anytime but I haven't come across a single person that has been banned because of region issues. In my experience and opinion the chances of a ban are very very low.

Don't undersell yourself mate, you have pace.

You are right though, being in races are under differing pressures can be hard to handle if not used to it.

Good luck with the globe-trotting racing....👍

This seems like a gaping hole in the GT Sport FIA races. One could simply create 15 accounts and compete in every race and be almost guaranteed to win one of them. I've seen a couple of competitors with multiple accounts. It just looks like cheating to me. But I'm not sure how they can stop it really.
