You would have recieved a one year warranty but under the sale of goods act an item such as a PS3 is expected to last much longer. Go to this site or type into Google "sale of goods act playstation 3" and you will find similar results. As long as you haven't mis-treated the PS3 you should be good for a free replacement/repair.
