Just turned 42. I need more excuses to play GT now!!!
As the George Bernard Shaw quote goes... "We do not cease to play because we grow old. We grow old because we cease to play."
A recent scientific study showed that playing video games improved the mental acuity of people in assisted living centers for the elderly.
As for me I am 69 soon to be 70 and play GT5 almost everyday.
45 here and started with GT1.
Now with GT5 and endless nights of electronics along with equipment education under my belt I have built a dream racing simmulator that rivals what you can buy.
The young just waste time but the mature do it in style!

Toyzriit's amazing when a thoughtful thread is started and someone just has to try and change the mood of it. (Dragonwhisky) I'm not going to name names but i think this person has some kind of complex as a result of his mother thinking I have to answer to him to prove something. this is the kind of person I like to add to my block list for the reason they are never happy if someone has something interesting to share that makes them feel like they were ripped from the center of attension when they were never there.
Seems like there is more mature players than might be expected. Could be fun to make a simple pool.

36 - what ever
Something like that!
I think there is already a thread somewhere with a poll in it regarding members ages.

FormulaKimballIn F1 terms I'm on lap 42 around the sun. GT3 was my first real racing game. I just recently got my personal best GT5 TT result at Spa in the FGT (40th, LOL).
I have been to racing school driving F2000 race cars, and the first comment I got from instructors was "you sure you've never raced before?" That's why it's hilarious when people belittle the time we spend in games like GT5. You know that scene in Rising Sun when Wesley Snipes tries to call BS on the edited security disk and Tia Carrere says "where have you been, Lt. Smith, you don't think video can be altered?"
Respect to all of you in 50s, 60s, 70s... gives me hope that there's no reason to stop if you enjoy it (and with the technical advances, this is an exciting time)! Can't wait to see what my game rig will be like in another 10 years...
