Just thoughts. Fanboys looking to start a war should ignore this thread. I am a huge fan of both games and would hope we can keep this thread peaceful.

You post this despite the fact you already made this thread before, and it was closed. All you did was change the wording.

On another note, DLC at the most. Otherwise, No.

Now if this was possible (not saying it isn't), it would completely blow that stupid Shift game out of the water. Tracks and graphics from GT5 + Forza's online = A force not to be reckoned with.

Shift series has been closed by EA.

Forza Horizon is game that has nothing to do with type of games such as GT or Forza series.

Therefore, aliens.

I'm sure this game is meant to fill the void for Forza 5 for the next XBOX.

If there was such a game, I would like the whole Tokyo Shutoku Highway System like in Tokyo Xtreme Racer. It's a shame that Genki shut down that series. That's the only series that utilizes such an awesome highway.

It's a shame that they killed Shift, it did have potential. On the brighter side, it gives Slightly Mad time to work on Project Cars (which will be awesome) and makes the Porsche exclusivity kind of a waste of money to EA.

Just asking, does anyone know anything about Horizon yet? All i've seen is that trailer and honestly it didn't explain anything about the game.

It always baffles me when people start a thread looking to kick off a discussion but don't seem to have anything to contribute themselves on the topic.

👍

Basically, people that make threads to amuse themselves.

And people that mention "fanboy wars" and say "that other game we shall not speak". It's done intentionally to cause a stir among the members. I call those people "terrible", or unnecessary.

I miss Tokyo Xtreme Racer and I agree with you on this one

I'm sure that Shift will come back in another form. As for Polyphony Digital releasing something to co-exist with Forza, don't bet on it. They aren't going to be "swell guys" and play nice any time soon.

yea shift did have potential before EA decided to head development/publication.

It is a true shame Genki shut down the TXR series, not only did we lose out on one of the only true highway racing games, but one of the only high-caliber console touge games as well. A HD revamp of any Kaido-Battle or Shutoko Battle would've been awesome.

If PD wants to implement something cool, a touge circuit would be awesome

The problem with PD is that they have been talking about a lot of features like open world driving, livery editor, cars costumization and nothing happens... on the other hand T10 dont do much talking and voila an open world racer is on the horizon... (see what I did here)

Is been confirmed as an open world racer?

"Notably, Kazunori also re-confirmed that Gran Turismo 6‘s development is underway, and commented about how the game’s new features will ultimately be chosen:

Of course we’re working on GT6 already and I think what really will be the separating factor is something that we can’t update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6. Things that we can provide through DLC we will, so that’s really the market difference."

https://www.gtplanet.net/yamauchi-on-gt5s-mechanical-damage-updates-more/
"Flexible camera angles and “dynamic and wide-area lighting needs” are to blame for the sometimes blocky shadows. Yamauchi admits they are a problem and wants to improve them.

Yamauchi appears to consider the possibility of removing the in-game HUD (heads-up-display features) at some point in the future.

Online “lounge” functionality and other features will be added “one by one”.

Polyphony Digital continues to work on fully supporting the Logitech G25 and G27, though Yamauchi admits he would like a “new steering device soon”…

Mechanical damage options will be implemented in a new update for GT5 coming “early December”.

As you may know, many players noticed that GT5‘s face-tracking functionality only worked in Arcade mode. According to Yamauchi, it’s not available in GT mode due to memory issues with the PS3.

In-game rewards (such as the monetary prize in GT5 Prologue) for your performance in online events is something Polyphony Digital is considering, and may be implemented in a future update.

Yamauchi wanted to implement a “free roam” gameplay mode in GT5, where players could drive around, respecting speed limits and obeying traffic laws, and even exit the car to walk around and explore the environment on foot.

The YouTube replay upload feature had to be pulled from the final version of the game because it took a very long time to render and it consumed too much memory. Yamauchi is still considering it, however."

Problem is, assumptions and ignorance.

PS3 limited/limits GT5. So do the wants for profits.

And not needing to release an open world GT. I had to say it.

To top it off

Great another jackhole...

As much as I'd like to post one if those "u mad?" pictures, I won't as I'm more mature than that ;)

Horizon is more like a choose-a-car-and-track-then-race type of game. Is nothing like the real Turn 10's Forza.

As PD colaborating with Turn 10, I don't know. Both developers have things that the other doesn't. Although for something like this to happen is impossible, a game from both developers would be probably the best thing that the video game industry would ever see when it comes to racing games.

^^^ My first post in this thread would have been my last, but tribolik  presented himself. I'm just glad I got to add the things I've posted. I always show sources. I, usually, prove the "you fanboy!" people wrong. Then, they ignore it.

Exactly. I used to see that happen all the time, but still see it with others. It's their best argument sometimes. Except for people like Toronado. At least, he KNOWS a lot.

Great another jackhole...

PSP cockpits scratched for GT5. So they listen to us more than you care to comprehend with SOME of your tiny brains.

This is the one I saw, actually. Jordan's in it.

👍

\/\/\/ no news about GT Vita. It's pretty likely, though.

How about a Tourist Trophy 2? or something for Vita, I'm sure they are cooking something up.

Fact - Kaz talked about wanting an open world feature in GT5. Fact it didnt happen

Fact - T10 didnt talk about an open world feature in FM4. Fact its in the works.

The things you posted have nothing to do with the OT or OP, another fact...

*Sighs* I do to......I do to. I just watched the trailer for horizon, and I really have no clue what the hell it was that I just watched, and if its Forza's way of getting in to the "Street Racer" scene........I think GT is about to be king of the hill again.

What, it was supposed to be done overnight?

Horizon sounds like a kinect game. I don't want to hold my hands in the air imagining holding a wheel and looking like a three year old.

My prediction is a game that is more oriented towards non-closed course settings such as the streets (not necessarily open world though). In other words, I'm thinking NFS, Midnight Club, Test Drive Unlimited, etc.
