Yeah great, we could have invincible tanks and therfore never ending wars simply two armies in a muddy ditch shooting and hurling abuse at each other indefinitely.

Is that really what you want, it would make it impossible for you to crush those nice little middle eastern countries.

Which middle eastern countries are nice again?

I can only assume nothing notable has come of this, as the phenomenon was reported ten years ago.
Something similar to this story appeared on an episode of "That's Incrediable!" back in the early eighties. Then, it appeared on an episode of "Riply's; Believe It, Or Not!" in the early nineties.

Who knows, maybe the B2 stealth bomber uses this technology to be "bullet proof." It uses the entire outer surface as an electrostatic engine, so why not this too?

Well it would add a comical factor to war.

Invisible floors, that would be cool. You would be able to see what's below you on a bridge or something. :)

yes, but cling wrap gets all wrinkly. You can't even attack it with a heat gun to stretch it tight because that'll make the wrinkles around the edges more apparent.

I'll stand by my glass panel and windex idea :)
