Can anyone check the following please:

- are the new Bonus Races added?
- is Skid Recovery Force (SRF) mandatory or optional on new Seasonal Events?
- is any other assist mandatory?
- if there are new Bonus Races added, is the SRF still mandatory?

Thanks in advance!

-no, it's a five race selection like the previous FWD, RWD, 4WD events, but PP limited
-optional
-no
-n/a

There is scope, but with refreshed AI each time you race, it will be dificult for you to guarantee an immaculate challenge in my view...

Well, a lot of hate on here for these Seasonal's, but I actually quite like the unpredictability of it all. I like it when PD throw some wild cards. Yeah, not everyone is going to be happy and some people need to rely on the big payouts, but aren't you enjoying the chance to try out cars you normally wouldn't? I have to agree with fissionproject's comment on this. I for one am looking forward to digging out some underpowered pre-69 cars and giving them a thrash. If your thing is just jumping in the most powerful car you've got and expecting a challenge, then you're never going to be that happy with Seasonals anyway.

Looking forward to getting home from work tonight... :)

So what cars are in the online dealer. Also have the FF, 4WD and RWD events been reset so if you had gold in all has that now gone.

I think PD should release a new seasonal event, not tell people the payout, and have it award about 300 trillion XP, so that you go straight to level 40 and there's nothing more to aim for.

Wonder how much people would complain then?

This new round of seasonals is a joke, i was expecting at least some kind of car restrictions, not just any car pre-69 and below 505PP.

I am starting to get the feeling that PD and Kaz are chucking things out there in the hopes of shutting us up and putting VERY little thought into things....

BIG 👎 from me!

Better still just release a patch that updates your aspec and bspec to 40, gives you all the cars in the game, gives you gold on everything. A trophy for having a massive cock then closes the game forever.

All the golds you got the first time around are still there. The new seasonals are okay. Makes you drive cars you probably wouldn't drive at all.

Haha, love it. Looking forward to my trophy, that one would be my Facebook pic in no time!

I just tried the first race at Cape Ring with an Alfa TZ2, but it easily beat the opposition. I guess i'll try the other races with something a little less overpowering, or I could use one of the cars in my garage that I haven't even had a chance to use yet.

:tup:Fantastic!
There are so many people on here who just complain no matter what comes up. If you just want trophies go play something else! The way I see it the SE are to inspire you to drive cars you probably wouldn't otherwise and I like the way it keeps changing. So what if there is no big Cr/XP payout, isn't the point of a game to have fun??

I like the new event. I look forward to seasonals that give me a reason to sift through my garage and take out a car I haven't driven in awhile (or at all). My Tempest LeMans got its first drive at the Laguna Seca race last night. I'll probably grab something with a lower PP for the other races, but it was fun to take it out of the garage and see how it drove.

Really, the main improvement I'd like to see in the seasonals is one that many others have suggested: make the payouts (credits, experience, or both) dependent on the car you drive. I think they'd have more replay value if you could keep coming back with weaker and weaker cars to go after bigger and bigger payouts.

It's not the event itself that bothers me, it's the fact it's still tiny in the grand scheme of adding new events to match what was in GT4. Five races every two weeks just isn't going to cut it.

Lots of complaints as usual about the amounts of credits and XP. I guess I am a glass half full type of person becuase I look at the payouts and think about where else in the game I can use those types of cars and within 10 minutes get that many credits. I personally can't stand running laps on the ovals just to get the max credits for the time. I would rather continue to get slightly less credits and do something with more variety. I do like the idea of the credits and XP varying based on the competition. Maybe that is on the way in a future update since it seems like that may already exist for online and remote races.

PS. I would also love to see prize cars given for completing the whole series of seasonals.

I've just used my Tempest at Monza, it gave me an idea of how big it was compared to the Ginetta G4 that I was racing against. I took some photos to show the size difference between the two cars, might upload them later.

So, I tried the first race, having set my choice of car to 506PP. I lapped 5 of the cars which just proves to me how really bad the PP system is.

Ok, car choice was a little OTT... a 267HP XJ13 on Racing Softs (yes... only 506PP). I thought I would use it to see how fast it was compared to the other cars!

I agree with what you are saying. Plus these races give more chances to use all the old cars that I have been buying.

Used my Lambo Muria...and I must say BORING!!!! I fell asleep in the 5th race...Guess Ill finish that tonight.

Waited 2 weeks for this..? Boooo

The other way I look at it is based on past history, GT6 won't be out for several more years. So, I'll be playing this game for quite awhile. The race to get level 40 quickly is not relevent to me. If they made it easy to get to level 40, and then there was nothing else to do and nowhere else to progress, most guys would probably just stop playing.

Typical opponents (several of these are unlisted from the typical opponent list in-game):

C1 Corvette
Toyota 2000GT
Toyota Sports 800
Honda S500/600/800
Isuzu 117
Isuzu Bellet
Nissan Silvia '65
Nissan Fairlady Z '68
All iterations of the Mazda Cosmo
All pre '70 iterations of the Skyline
Alfa Romeo Spider 1600
Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint Speciale
Ginetta G4
Lotus Elan S1
Nissan Bluebird

Pretty easy fare. My Z28 Camaro is able to come back from behind with a lap or two to spare. Cosmos will usually be in front of the pack.

Sorry, but you don´t need to wonder, why it is so easy, when you take an overpowered car into the events 👎

Take one of the opponents cars and the events went to be very cool. :sly:

I love to get some classic cars events because I am sick by this stupid modern plastic cars and often dreamed to race all my bought classic racers an events.

I agree! There have been a bunch of cars now that I never would have bought without these races, and I never would have known how much fun they can be.

The new set seems tailor made to give us a place to use these old cars. Think about it, where else and WHY else, would you bother with an old, 120 hp car once you get up to high level a-spec status?

Where else can you take car of that low power and win $60k and a good chunk of XP in a race? The A-spec races suitable for most of these cars payout 3-5k. What's the point?

I've finally got a reason to buy and tune a Karmann Gia! :)

If you are running a high power RM or something then YOU are the one making it "too easy." I blasted through all of them with my 427 Cobra and RM Camero but now I'll go back through and run them with progressively slower cars to see how low I can go. It's the same thing I've been doing with the FF/FR/AWD Seasonals.

I've about run out of steam on A and B spec, these weekly updates are keeping me in the game instead of relegating it to the used rack. They aren't perfect, but I give them an A for effort.

I am enjoying this series of races only because I am using cars I never would have in the normal game. I used a 69 rally car with like 130 hp and sport hard tires and was a blast to drive although it was far too easy event though I was well under 500 pp.

What cars have you guys found to be a challenge? I'll probably work my way down to the Cosmo cars in the OCD as those seem to be at the front of the pack in these races like usual.

I love using the old cars - I'm more interested in pushing these as far as possible than supercars and Formulas. It's what has made the GT series really interesting for me. It's the choice.

I did the first two of these with 65? Alfa Giulia GTA about 430 pp and sports soft and won by a few seconds. Would be more challenging with comfort tyres.

Came 4th in Monza though as the car is underpowered on the straights - actually made for good racing. This was with DS3 though - I'll shave off a few secs per lap when I use the wheel.

dont touched one of this events just boring like the a spec races & low payout too

after b spec lvl 40 I stopped playing gt5 (no time for the 9hr tsubaka or the 24hr´s)
must wait for the enduro save

at the moment no reason to play gt5 98% game progress

sometimes bit onlineracing with friends is nice... but there are really no other reasons for me to play for hours

They could have at least made one of these classic races use the race cars from the era for a hint more difficulty. Nothing fun about this other than here's another boring race series except filtered by era now instead of drivetrain, boring. PD, bring back race restrictions ffs.

Why can't people restrict themselves instead on depending on PD for restrictions? Really, how hard is it to do so? I have no problems doing that.

People would complain that it wasn't 400 trillion XP.
