I've recently planned my own endurance race(which is still taking entries over in the races forum) and have since then limited my online play to practice sessions for that. Resulting in my online time being much more enjoyable.
Now my worst online experience is trying to get my GT6 online without it freezing on the menu!

The most annoying thing is that all cars have an invisible hitbox around them. In the video I posted, those cars don't have that invisible box, so cars with a low, angular nose can actually "scoop up" cars with a higher rear bumper. Or, say you are going down a hill (Matterhorn) at high speed. A Lamborghini in front of you spins around, you hit a bump in the road, hit the hood of the Lamborghini and drive over it. That would lead to a lot more scary and exciting races, although its slightly unrealistic, since you would more than likely wreck your car as soon as you made contact with the Lamborghini.

in a cruise lobby, so i join thinking oh yeah this should least be enjoyable...nope greeted by fuds in x2010's and one saying i should be kicked because he slammed into me as i came out the pit lane...i just laughed it off.
or in a drag lobby, getting abuse off what sounded like prepubescent idiots racing jdm cars for having a fiat panda in pink, then beating them only to get ohhh my god hacker im reporting you to sony etc..its more a funny one than a worst because they ended up so butthurt.

I'll bite. I haven't done much online racing, but I managed to find some pretty great lobbies. I joined a trackday lobby which switched to Laguna Seca (aww yiss, that's my track) from the Nurb. The host left after the tracks were switched and the new host started the race (great, I was just looking to put in some low stress laps...). So, of course, almost everyone in the lobby left. Four people remained on the grid of the race. An FXX, Diablo GT, Megane TC, and my shabby little Silvia Varietta with no mods other than a low RPM turbo...so begins the race and the drivers pull ahead on the straights. This was a 10 lap race of Laguna Seca, mind you. At the end of the race, I finished third ahead of the Diablo and the FXX was no more than 10 seconds ahead of me for the whole race. Typically, I would have left figuring that I would get destroyed and possibly lapped, but it was so entertaining to keep up with cars of that caliber in a near stock Silvia...

Should I tell people about the time my stock Subaru Rally Car '05 beat an Escudo on a 2 lap race on Eiger K Trail by 40+ seconds? The kid said his "monster" could beat my pile of crap.

In the few races thus far on GT6 probably the worst has been having someone talking a lot of smack getting me into a race only to quit out once he saw he had no chance of winning.

Not the Grosjean of 2013, hes doing quite all right for himself, respectable driving now. Though he is running with Lotus with Maldonado, good luck Lotus...

I'm still baffled at how he managed to win Spain 2012.You're not mistaken, Pastor many have the money to make spare's but it's all moot point if he repeats the tradition of giving the barriers and other cars a carbon fibre kiss.

Romain definitely is a potential championship contender providing he gets his head down and goes for it especially this year where nearly everyone is starting with a clean slate.

Exactly all the memes and jokes for him aside was in his early years. I mean 2012 and 2013 seasons he was up there with the usual top contenders with Vettel, Kimi, Alonso, Hamilton etc. So provided Lotus does a good job and he doesn't muck up, podium finish is my guess.

Fresh story!
Get called a noob for ramming a Fiat 500 with my Rocket. Apparently my Rocket is a big heavy brute (less than 400kg...) and apparently it's also ok for the guy to pull in front of me for no reason (idling the rest of the time) when I was going flat out. So he got... A VEYRON! A two tonne car against my 400kg Zooey. COME. ON.
In the same room, I was being hit for doing 70mph (honest) when the host was doing 40 and the limit was 70 (room title "Left 70mph!") and I get treated like a criminal.
5 WHOLE MINUTES LATER(!!!) a guy gets an X1 out and sets a 41 second lap at London. Mine were 1 minute plus, when I can get 47ish seconds. Host does 🤬 all!
Eventually the room is just a heaping pile of 🤬 topped off by 🤬 and more :censored:ing 🤬!

Why was there even a Fiat in the same category as the Rocket? Man, stories like these and my own personal experiences is why I stick with online lobbies set up here on GTP.
