Just a note.
I saw some reviews on WRC 2010 (racesimcentral) and they say it should be a good game. I saw some videos and they are good but I am really too much in love with GT5 graphics which make, IMO, other new games look like old stuff.

I saw more videos from this game and it isn't bad, especially from cocpit view where tracks doesn't look that wide. The biggest flaw I see in track design, they aren't too exciting nor real looking. I'm still buying it, would be fun until GT5 arrives.

I might get it too. Looks fun and challenging and I don't think you will be able to run over bushes and such in GT5 imo. Ofcourse I hope I am wrong, I want to be wrong because I don't want a 7 car wide rally track that is not p2p.

Just a note.

A slight correction; 1/5th of GT5 makes other new games look like old stuff. The other 4/5ths being PS2-era cars will not look better than the best current-gen games.

if its one thing they might have gt5 beaten might be soundand 'overall rally experience' gt tries to cover a broad spectrum of racing and that might be it's downfall .Again i hope not

My crystal ball says we're getting a World Rally Championship on/near confirmed GT locations around the world (Rally Toscana/Rally Japan/Rally Switzerland/etc.), and that the point-to-point tracks that will be included will always be completely random (thanks to the course maker functionality) to add an element of surprise that does exist in real rallying. In such events we won't be able to use the minimap but we will have to rely on the navigator/copilot who will read notes as we progress through races.

Let's see how much of this will turn out to be true

These were the rally cars in GTPSP. Aren't some of them from WRC? I'm sure we will see them as Standard cars, at least (if they don't get upgraded in the process, although I can see this happening for the various Impreza and Lancer rally cars, and maybe the Celica).

I like this Vision of GT . As long as there isnt 30+ events of one lane head to head slam-5second penalty-fests, im good.

The WRC cars i've seen in the trailers are

Ford Focus WRC
Citroen C4 WRC
Peugeot 205 T16
Renault 5 Maxi Turbo

I reckon the rally cars in GT5 are going to be exactley the same as the ones in GTPSP and maybe a few more. If they put the Nissan 240RS in PSP then i dont see why they cant put in the Toyata Celica TCT, Metro 6R4, Citroen BX 4TC and the Audi Quattro. Surley if they can put in the Quattro Road car then it should be only right to put in the A1, A2, Sport Quattro and the E2 and maybe Pikes Peak Quattro.

no it's different, it has 2010 cars, drives, livery editor, career mode and all 13 official countries.

gt5 ha 2008 cars, fictional countries and weather.

Off course gt5 will be better but i'll buy both cause official rallies is a plus.

Yeah that's what im thinking, i mean with air pressure and humidity changes along with this weather, driving a car fast isn't as easy as it sounds anymore

Real Rally

Kazunori briefly touched on the game's special-events system using a live demo of Rally Mode. In this dirt-track mode, the courses are generated dynamically right when you load into the course. A navigator calls out turns, or you can use a course-overlay view to track turns. Like a real-life rally race, times are cumulative, and other cars get to start first.

Definitely like the idea of unlimited randomly generated tracks. Quetion does arise how one compares results with others for leaderboard type stuff. Also does this mean no real rally courses? The idea of having to rely on a copilot for a compoletely unknown track is interesting, but there are times when the course is known and practcied in real life also.

You might think Milestone will create a crappy game because they're a second-rate studio compared to PD, but with PD's resources all they've managed to do is buy a license to put onto a revamped rally mode. It's not the WRC, that's for sure.

The graphics are the only good things at this game;


- Courses are FAR too wide.
- Everywhere borders around the track, and when there are not, there is just a small open field. WTF?
- Snowbanks are solid objects
- Physics seem to look just average.

I havent played it so I wouldnt know, but it does seem like it will offer a truer WRC experience than GT. Which since the game comes out before GT will be a nice distraction to counter the wait.
