Yes, no seahawks. Its called a transitional season. Revjack doesn't get on until right before qualifying, so that could be difficult. We can't start qualifying until at least 8pm. Lucky, are you on NAT2 or NAT3?
If any of the regular drivers know they aren't going to make the practice race tonight would you please post here in the thread so the alternates can get in a practice race before the season. I'll monitor the thread until race start to see if a spot opens on the grid. Even if it's last minute I have no problem starting at the back of the grid.

I have a nice setup for three different cars from the three mfgs, but will plan to use a Nissan YellowHat YMS TOMICA GT-R 08 if I get a spot on the grid and hopefully that's OK as nobody else is using it. It's a very stable setup, not super fast but should conform well to the strategy chuyler1 outlined above...in fact I can run decent safe laps even with RH tires so should be good to go on RM or RS.
Anyway I will NOT jump in the practice or quali rooms unless I know there is a spot open as I don't want to prevent a regular driver from getting online. I'll be watching the thread and my PSN inbox until about 9:00. Thanks and good luck.
That reminds me, i haven't done any RS testing. All my laps have been on RM tires. I guess i'll try to find time tonight before the race starts to check my tune on RS tires.
Just so you know WRP001, both YellowHat GT-R's are already taken. Since we changed the car rules I don't think the front page has been updated. We'll get the cars figured out after tonight. As far as I know both Xanavi GT-R's, Petronas Lexus, and ARTA NSX"s are taken as well.
I think we should always just start qualifying at 8pm PST/11pm EST no matter what. That gives people that haven't joined yet 10 min to get in the room. We all know what time to be there so I you wanna race, you'll be there. I realize the start time isn't perfect for everyone but its late and we need to be strict about getting it started on time every time.
If anyone is worried about connection issues, they should arrive early. Are mics going to be on? It is good for communicating the number of drivers on the track. Sometimes there are 16 drivers in the lobby but a few drivers can only see 10-12 on the track.
I really don't have the patience for dealing with connection issues at 11:30 (EST) at night...so if we can start qualifying right at 11:00 that would be great.
I apoligize for not keeping the OP up to date. I'm usually on GTP with my iPhone and its a pain to edit large posts. So i may have forgotten someone's car switch. Its updated now, but i'm sure someone has been missed. tr1mble, do you mean that Boshuter switched to the Dome NSX? Can everyone check the OP and make sure their car choice is up to date?
As for reserves, has anyone practiced with Toyotasupra? If not, then Keyra goes to the top of the list for tonight.
Also updated the lobby info. For those that don't know, the race will be held in luckylefty2gunz's private lobby. Lets hope this solves some of our connection issues. I would love to see 10-12 finish this race.

I thought one of the Lexus PETRONAS TOMS SC430 08 was still free -- at least it's shown that way after the OP update. If that's not available that leaves me back at the drawing board... I'll try and scramble another setup before tonight, maybe the YellowHat YMS Supra 05, but it'll be a last minute setup for sure.

I haven't practiced with supra but I have been practicing on my own (online of course). I will be ready if there's a spot open though. I've been running mid 57s to low 58s if that gives an idea where I may fit in with the grid.
My Internet shut down 30 seconds before the race started. I'm on 3G now on my phone. Not sure how much more of this I can handle. Can't go hardline until November. ****, I had a go qualifying lap too.
However, if you do it at the start of the race, you'll end up taking out a car further ahead when you understeer and miss your turn in point. Everyone, the race leader included, will take the first turn slow, so be prepared to coast into the turn and modulate your braking to ride the bumper of the car ahead of you. They almost always will brake early to avoid hitting the car ahead of them...and by the time you get 5 cars back, the brake zone can often be well before the first brake marker.

I feel your pain man. I've missed 2 out of 3 pre-season races, one because I couldn't stay in the lobby and tonight because my Internet connection was lost for all of 5 mins. If it wasn't my series I'd probably give up too.

we are going to look into the online room idea to try and rid the issues that we have been experiencing we will be running connection tests all week with as many people as possible, we will be testing everything in regards to connections . it would probably be best to test at our race time so i will try to be on every night at that time, we are open to suggestions to better this series
i had a horrible race went to pits early and put on wrong tires and had to pit again then i spun out once or twice bumped drex very uncharacteristic of my driving very disappointed with my performance
