A step forward and about three steps back. Seems most things take more mouseclicks to do than they did before. Had to upload an "avatar" to make my avatar go away. Still trying to figure out how to mark threads as read (wasted 20 minutes or so on just this). Multiquoting is more difficult: I used to click the multiquote buttons, then right-click "quote" and open in a new tab/page. That still works for a single quote, but not if multiquoting. Generally taking me longer to get around. I realize that that will improve as I get more used to the changes, but will still be more difficult to get around.

I know, it took me a couple moments to realize that Premium wasn't gone. :p <--- Still doesn't work.

Absolutely love it.

from the mobile version to the browser version, clean organized and concise, a work of a great designer.

Even though the Avatars are the same size they seem grander because of the more slick design.

Thread tags no longer seem to be working. In the motorsport forum I can click on 'Formula1', and it doesn't filter anything. Is it just existing posts that have lost their tags, or has the function been removed completely?

I love the new status box but its a shame that if you make a second post your old one disappears, should be 5 minute intervals maybe, would allow for discussion in a way. Otherwise you need to wait about an hour for the posts to cycle.

It'd allow for flooding the main page's Status Updates box, that's what you're really asking for, right?

I imagine if folks want to have a discussion, they could do it with the status updates on their page, not take over that portion of the site.

Another question here but how do we multiquote? , also is the shortcut for quick reply gone?

Just hit reply on every post you want to multiquote, @sems4arsenal . Though if you're doing so across multiple pages, you'll want to Save Draft or copy/paste before moving between pages, to be safe.

I believe quick reply is essentially replaced with the new style; same thing, pretty much!

I just realize the 'hover over thread title' preview is gone. I thought that was quite useful!

Just tried it myself to see how it works and its a lot more efficient. And yes I can see how it would be a bit different across many pages? But with the copy/paste am sure it would work when you get used to it. :)

EDIT @ SlipZtrEm
Will the https://www.gtplanet.net/faq/ be updated eventually with all the new information and new look since some of it is now a little redundant or changed?

I like it then I don't, then I do. I like love the layout, and as someone mentioned, the avatars seem more significant, love that! I like how clean it looks. I miss certain things though. And some features are harder to use. Some icons are much harder to read and use on mobile, such as the toolbar for posting. I give everybody credit where credits due, good job and thanks for the hard work! Especially Jordan! I know it was no small feat, and the new GTP feels like it rewards its members for just being members! Now I feel terrible that I'm not premium and didn't financially support this move...

I'll go on and try it, shame about the lack of Alt+s combo to post a reply, I'm too lazy to move the mouse :D

also the alert system is the greatest thing since sliced bread

On a similar note; changing a thread title can't be done by the old method of clicking in the blank space in the row on the forum index anymore, it requires you to check the Thread Tools menu while viewing the thread itself. As someone who used that a few times a week (which is admittedly rare), it's too bad. The old method also didn't affect Edit history!

It's a different approach, but on the plus side, with 30 posts per page instead of the old default 20, there's less likelihood of people needing to quote across multiple pages 👍

Yer it works well am quite surprised by it. Plus with the method uesd you get the chance to insert text inbetween the quotes which seems alot clearer and cleaner. :D

The only thing would be if your qouting from another thread or a post quite some distant back the copy/paste would work quite well. (Thats without trying?:D )

Out of curiousity, has this been based off a currently-existing message board software? A great number of features here are so much alike some other forums I've been on, albeit with a few layout rearrangements.

Love the new site. Mobile works great as well, especially with the photomode forums and display. Great work.

@AOS-, yes, this is a customized version of XenForo forum software.
I think it should have an option to 'Mark Forum Read' in each forum and not just on the forum home page. Or give us the ability to double click like the previous forum.
Click your pop-up user menu and hit "Mark Forums Read". You'll have the option to apply that to only the subforum you're reading, or the entire site.

Question: when will Premium-subscription/gifting be up?
I don't have a timeline on that at the moment, but it will return.

Yeah I mentioned that in the bug thread, it was very useful to have a summary when you hover over a thread.

Have we got a option to change the colour of the theme to something darker? its too bright for me, even with low brightness level selected on monitor

Great stuff Jordan. Thanks for that as it was driving me mad!
