Let me post my contribution since I recently started playing GT1 again:
I started out with the MA70 Supra, which is probably the best beginner's car to start the game with. After that I moved over to an A-spec RX-7, the one with the big foglights. I completed many races with this car untill I unlocked the Chaser race car. I see that the Cerbera is mentioned a few times. When I unlocked the car with my FTO LM, I was expecting a huge decrease in lap times, but the Cerbera was only half a second quicker. The FTO LM is most probably amongst my favourits since it's so wel balanced and steady. The Cerbera is a nutjob and slightly overestimated in my opinion. The black Castrol Supra GT is the best handling car I've come across as of yet.
But my all time favourit car is the '95 Supra RZ. Not the newest model. I took this car and gave it the racing body, which is similar to the one Toyota raced in Le Mans in 1995. I also kept the stock exhaust for that very special sound. 560 or something horsepower, and I had a great time at the Grand Valley endurance race with the NSX LM and R33 LM. They were quite fast in the beginning, but my tyres lasted longer, around 18-20 laps. In the end I nearly lapped the NSX, posting a fastest lap of 1:34.998. Great car 👍
