I used the heck out of the Chrome line cars when I started but the first car I actually purchased was the 91' Mazda efini RX-7 Type R (FD).

same here but i didnt save for the civic because when you keep racing A-SPEC you win the car & now i got like 2.1 mill & like 47 cars add me if you wanna race or what ever & its to anyone to add me to race
 
I was impatient and bought a crappy MX-5. I made up for it buying and fully speccing an LP670-4. Then an F430 Scud and them my favourite Matte Grey w/ red wheels and carbon fibre everywhere.
 
I wanted a 91 Prelude, but didn´t find it. This has always been my first car in every Gran Turismo. Its like a tradition, even with the fact that JDM cars are not my thing. Too bad I didn´t find it, so I got a premium Miata.

Road version I assume?

The first car Ibrought was the Daihatsu Copen '02 but I've never used it because I went straight to the licence thing for getting exp. then did the challenges. I then won a go kart, then a Nissan Micra mm2 Cup Car '02, then that MOTUL car mentioned earlier in the thread, and the only car I've really purchased and used is an old original Mitsubishi Lancer rally car from the Used Car Dealeship. I've only had GT5 since yesterday (Christmas) and I'm already Level 9.
 
Mine was the ae86 in white. I still have it, but I don't really use it very often. After that I bought an Evo IX. Now I've got roughly 200 cars :D
 
at first i had the mitsubishi fto and then in the liscense section i saw the renault sport megane and i loved it and i bought that and i still have it :)
 
I'm sure there's already a thread about this, but I started with the Suzuki Swift '07. Never really been a fan of the Civic, had a Mx-5 (Miata) in GT4 and didn't want anything used - so I ended up with the Swift.
 
I only sell if the car is truly crap.. and i sold two modded Ferraris (for races) because at the time i couldnt stand modded ferraris (i now admit to owning both a maxed out Enzo and Murcielago).. an S2000 because i needed the money early in the game.. and a Mclaren cuz i intially did not like the way it took corners, the mclaren, Ferraris and Honda were replaced... everything else was junked for good (i wish i had found out about trading earlier), i also gave away some cars.. as for my first car? Base model FTO i believe the GR, i still have it and even lavished some cash on it after i stopped using it (once i discovered the importance of chassis maitnence.. plus i picked up an FTO GP Version R so i transferred that cars paint chip to the GR)
 
I went straight into the UCD and bought the best level 0 car I could, which happened to be a Honda CIVIC SiR-II '95.
 
I still use it a lot:)
