Addicted to the trucks at Charlotte this week. Love Charlotte. The race I just had though was hands down the best so far.

Started 3rd, got a good start on the inside, straight into the 2nd and gave chase, passed the leader after another 4 laps or so and started pulling away. He got into his stride a few laps later and started piling on the pressure, I was using a pretty defensive line into 3 and 4 knowing its hard to pass on the outside and I could hold him off into 1 and 2 and pull away again, but he eventually got enough of a run into 3 to pass me. Then became a 15 laps 3 car duel for the win, so close, very intense but very clean and fair racing. I finish 0.084 off the lead and 0.102 ahead of 3rd, went too deep into 3 to make a move for the lead on the last lap and very nearly lost 2nd. Still a good podium and all 3 drivers finished 0inc.

I've been surprisingly on it the past few races. Yesterday I won my first Kia race at Mid-Ohio - having barely practiced and not qualified (against 9 other Kia's, so it wasn't a tiny grid or anything).
I then followed it up with a 2nd place today after battling for the lead early on. Its helped that I've been getting good starts and jumping 3-4 places just off the grid. Seems I've got a decent setup with tyre wear too but Mid-Ohio just seems like one of those tracks I just go well at for some reason.
I'm really enjoying using the brakes to rotate the Kia, it makes it a great car for chucking into corners.

I've not had so much luck with Star Mazda though, all 3 races I attempted ended in collisions. Managed to drag the car over the line in the last race for 8th but really could have had 3 podiums in the bag. Again, I've been getting great starts and making up a lot of places on the first lap but it just didn't come together for one reason or another, usually my own mistakes pushing far too hard.

Leading a Mazda cup race at Laguna Seca with a nice 10s gap to 2nd by Lap 8.

At the end of Lap 8 I see the yellow flag pop up before T10 and slow up. After going through T10 I see a backmarker on the right side of track moving to the left. I slow up even more assuming he is entering track to go to T11. Instead of entering track he cuts directly across track and I T-bone him. My car is damaged and off pace and I finish 6th. The guy apologized and said he was new to service and cutting over to the pitlane. Oh well, my fault for having a crappy iRating and being put in a lower split. LOL

(the mazda cup at LS is simply awesome and fun! Has iracing used this track in the past? everytime I would look for a Mazda cup race it was always Okayama or Lime Rock).

i had a race at Okayama Short in the Grand Touring Cup. The solstice is a car that i enjoy driving but i have not driven it for a couple of months. I started last and passed a few of the slower MX-5 cars. I was putting in solid 1.02.2xx constantly and chasing down the other two solstice drivers who qualified 2 and 3rd overall whilst i did not set a time. I passed the first solstice when he was moving out of the way for a faster mx-5. I stalked 1st place for a couple of laps and mad my move in the slow left right section. I made a wide exit and then gave him the undercut. For half the lap we were side by side and then i got the rakes down in turn 3 and from there it was smooth sailing. 125 points. Not bad for 3.15 pm Australian EST +10.00.

Just got done racing the Aussies in the V8 at VIR. Started 13th and finished 13th in the top split. Maybe could've finished a few places better, but I took on 4 gallons too much fuel on the pitstop.:(

If anyone wants a real challenge and test of their skills, race the Aussies in the V8. Pretty clean races and extremely fast pace in top split. They play for keeps for sure. Good times.👍

Grand AM Series at Mosport, I started in 6 position. Got ran off the track in lap 1 by some dive bomber with no respect. Found myself in last place, a lot of guys quite about then. I got back on the track and fought back and finished in 4th place. I got 86 championship points, there were 23 racers. This moved me back into 1st place in division 7. Four races, 4 top 5's, not bad for an old feller'

I was doing the Truck Fixed series at Dover again, but this race was the best race of the week. I had a graphical problem at the start of warm-up where my overclocks for my 550 Ti reset back to my default. I had a black screen coming out of Turn 4, but I still ran the fastest lap in warm-up.

One by one I started passing people but I realized after 6 laps there were going to be a few cautions. I went from 14th to 5th by the first caution on lap 8. I barely avoided it when the two guys next to me wrecked collecting another driver. On the restart I started 4th but I knew I needed to save tires. I somehow saved my tires while running some of the same fastest laps during the run. I passed the leader on lap 28 and sailed to victory.

It's been a few weeks since I've last raced, so I just jumped into a Mazda Cup race on Laguna, I started from the pits because my SR is pretty crappy so I was planning on farming some, I ended up making the pass for the lead before the corkscrew on the final lap and winning the top split race

I was leading on lap 3 or 4 in lime rock in the legends series about 10 mins ago. coming up to a lapped car, i tell him im passing on the right. he moves over to the left and i message it again just to be sure. as we come in to the first corner, he drives right into my car spinning me out in front of 3rd and we hit, breaking my car. fun huh?

Well since I decided to take a couple of weeks break from the iGPS I decided to do some races with my team mate in the inRacing News Challenge to gain some iRating. So I ran a total of 17 races last week alone (the most races I have run in 1 week since Rookie) for fun and iRating and I won 14 of them. I gained 800 iRating in one week which will do me nicely next week when I return to the iGPS scene. I had some good races with Yoeri (my team mate), Petr Dolezal3 (5000+ iR) and Chris Hughson (Ex DWC Road, DWC Oval and 8000+ iR guy.( Currently has 7000+ iR))

Last 10 results:

Chris was in a Solstice though right? The guy is way too quick..

Went from 4th on the last lap of the IndyCar race at Pocono to 8th with a 4x after some moron blocked me out of 2 when I had a run.

Definitely protesting tomorrow. Apparently the other guys in the room weren't surprised by who it was who did it.

EDIT: Now I'm under 1000 irating after spinning in turn 3 two races in a row. Both times in the top 5, first time when leading :(

This has not been a good weekend.

Been running rookie SS on USA because I enjoy the two together, but MAN! is there some serious lack of skill in that series. You don't go all that fast to begin with, but these guys drive around like the cars don't have brakes...

My last race I gridded in second and the pace laps were clean...come out of 4and I felt as though I timed the start well. Had to take the high line through 1 and 2, I got on the gas a little early and had to lift to avoid contact with the wall. Car got slightly loose, but I maintained control...guy inside slides up the track trying to get in better position for turn 3 and wraps himself around my front bumper....right front got torn to hell. I usually run a 40 lap race pace of 24.5xx, but after that was only able to hold 25.1xx. I came out of that incident in 5 and was passed and pushed to 6th. Then the race really goes to hell, lappers come around, I'm holding my line...they were faster and I was allowing them to pass on the straights, even giving the low line in entry, but I'll be damned if they didn't forget their cars have brakes on them and twice I had to keep myself from getting spun because some idiot smashes into the back of my car. 2 extra 4x incidents and I finished out with 10 total. Still got a podium finish out of the race, but lost .09 SR. Talk about coming out frustrated.

Bought Indy last night so I could do the Thursday night Aus SOF race. A lot of pretty good drivers turned out, top split was 4300 SOF. I was in the bottom split and even there we had 1 Div 1 guy.
Started 5th out of 9 DPs and spun 3 times during the race, and half spun ( sideways until I stopped ) 3 times. Should have finished 2nd if I didn't have those troubles, but got a 3rd.
It's a hard track to drive when you set the car up with low downforce. I burned up my rears at about halfway and it handled like crap. Lift off oversteer like the SRF.
SR and iR gain so I'm happy with that :)

did my first oval race in a looooong time (like 2 seasons ago long) in a legend at lanier and stated 3rd to last (11th) and finished third for a +69 iR and +.08 SR gains. it was a great race, no massive wrecks and some really close racing for third among 5 cars(4 on the same lap, the other was one lap ahead), I finished as the 1st car 1 lap down since the winner was a rocket with over 5k iR

Tried iracing years ago, got back into this month.

Been having gfx card issues and couldn't run a race at Laguna Seca w/ MX-5. Finally got gfx settings dialed in to be able to race.

1st complete Laguna Race, in P2 leader spins out passing traffic and I get lead and keep it for rest of race. First win!

Take smoke break

2nd complete race @ Laguna, next race time after first win. Start P3, Pass P2, P1 spins out, and take the lead again and win again. :)

Before second race needed .09 Sr for promotion. Got .08. :/

I'm so spewing right now.

Star Mazda @ Suzuka. I started from the pits because I was in a horrible spot mid-pack. Was working my way nicely through the field, had gained about six places in as many laps due to accidents and a couple of passes. Braking hard into Degner2 and my wheel just stops steering.

Straight into the barrier. Arse biscuits.

Thankfully I'd got it mostly slowed so damage was just one front wheel. Towed back and only a few minutes repairs to straighten it out. Finished at the back three laps down.

Fiddled with the wheel but there didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. Power fine. Connection fine. Everything fine. Maybe it was just a one off? Two hours later I jump in another race.

Starting second on the grid, it's looking good. The leader starts pulling away, I'm pulling away from third and I'm happy to settle in for second.

Then the leader puts it into a wall. Schadenfreude ahoy!

The guy in third bins it as well, and I've got about 7 seconds on the next guy back. I'm pacing myself and not pushing too hard, by lap 11 he's got it down to about 6 seconds. But it's only an 18 lap race, and if he can catch me by a second a lap he deserves the win.

Approaching the first of the Esses, the wheel stops steering again. Car, meet wall.

I swear I sat there without moving for a good five seconds thinking "You've got to be ****ing kidding me".

Car was completely totalled this time. Tow back, 13 minutes of repairs, thank you and good night.

Worst evening of racing in months. And while I'm fairly sure there's nothing actually wrong with the wheel, I have no idea what's causing the issue, and if it will happen again.

What a nightmare.

It has happened to me as Well. I had a run where in 5 racers i have had connection issue with me leading the race 3 of those times. I also had a weird occurrence with my DFT with it cutting in and out losing its force feedback and then regaining mid corner. Bloody Annoying. It kills your iRating having gone from 2940 to 2500

I've had it suggested that it was the USB port going to sleep. I changed the settings in windows and had another race this morning and was safe. Dunno if it was that, because it only happen those two times, but it could have been.

Ran a hosted race last Sunday.
45 minutes @ Charlotte Oval in Road Cars.
Choices were the Cadi,Vette or V8.
I ran the Vette and worked on setup during the 20 minute practice.
Ended up qualifying P2 out of 20.
It was loads of fun, I was leading but spun coming in for my 1st pit.
Then got speeding penalty. Finished P4

Latest race? Yeah good.
Lost it on the first lap, hit the wall crossed the track and was hit by someone else so I wrecked their race too.
Frustrating after 2 nights of practice screwing up my race and don't have a chance to do another. Oh well.

I has a crazy race at Mid-Ohio in the Global Challenge driving the Kia in what might be one of my best drives ever. It was a 10 car field, 6 Caddys and 4 Kias, I started 3rd out of 4 and got a good start and was into 2nd place in class by turn. Entering Turn 2, the Kia in 4th completely overshoots the corner, and by overshoots I mean he tried to take a hairpin turn at 100 mph, he broadsides me and we both fly off into the sand, I now have a big dent in my door but no suspension damage thankfully, so I keep cool and solider on, a few laps later I catch up to 2nd in class, pass him and start to reel in 1st who is about 10 seconds up the road, with 7 minutes to go, I catch him and we battle for a few laps, then I pressure him into turn 2, fall back into line, causing him to go wide and I get a better run down the straight, draft him and make the pass under braking and slide by, then start to pull away. Consistency and not over driving the car works wonders, especially in a big heavy front wheel drive one :p
