There’s something about a purpose-built race car on a fast, flowing road course that just feels right, and this week’s Online Time Trial delivers exactly that. The Mazda Roadster Touring Car heads to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta under dusk lighting, giving the Georgia circuit a look and atmosphere you don’t often see in GT7’s time trial rotation. It’s a welcome change of scenery.
Under BOP (M) settings on Sports Soft tires, this is a fixed-setup affair with a car that should feel nimble and responsive through Road Atlanta’s elevation changes and high-speed sweepers. And with a lap time well under 90 seconds, you’ll burn through attempts quickly compared to last week’s longer Suzuka challenge. Expect this one to be a popular combination.
The world record currently sits at 1:27.764. Gold (3%) requires a 1:30.396, silver (5%) a 1:32.152, and bronze (10%) a 1:36.540.
Last week’s pairing of the Toyota Celica GT-FOUR (ST205) ’94 with Suzuka Circuit on Sports Hard tires under BOP (M) continues for one more week. The longer lap and harder compound make this one a test of consistency and patience. The current world record is 2:25.392, with gold at 2:29.753, silver at 2:32.661, and bronze at 2:39.931. You have until April 2 to post your best.
Online Time Trials are found in Sport Mode, which unlocks after completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe. PS Plus is not required. Gold medals (within 3% of the top time) pay 2 million credits, silver (within 5%) pays 1 million, and bronze (within 10%) pays 250,000. Events update every Thursday, with each running for two weeks; the oldest active event is replaced each week. The next new event arrives on April 2, 2026.
