A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges is beginning today, with a fresh set of five events updating in the World Circuits menu as your local clock ticks past midnight and featuring some of the content added in the 1.57 update.
Each Friday, the Weekly Challenges bring five events for players to tackle across the following seven days, plucking four from existing races in the World Circuits menu, and a fifth “Special Event” that’s created just for the week — most of which very much need to return in their own Bonus Menu books at some point. Finishing third or better in each event is enough to complete them, and you’ll pick up bonus rewards for doing so during the week that they’re active.
We’re starting this week with an all-new race, added in the 1.57 update. It’s a simple, five-lap run of the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in the Sunday Cup, which limits you only to the use of road cars. The cover car for the event is the new Kangoo, so you can use that if you like, but anything up to the Ferrari Vision GT is eligible and can earn you 37,000cr for taking victory.
Grand Valley South hosts our next race, with the four-lap Japanese Clubman Cup 550 event. Don’t worry about the “550” part, which is only a suggested Performance Point (PP) value for a fair race; you only need a Road or Tuned car from a Japanese manufacturer for the event, which offers a healthy 55,000cr for the win.
This week’s Special Event is a one-make affair for the new Aston Martin Vantage. That’s also the only limitation, so you can go crazy if you like but a standard car is perfectly adequate for the race: five laps of Deep Forest, with 80,000cr if you pass the finish line first.
We’ve got an event you will need to unlock if you haven’t already done so next, by way of the Hypercar Parade. Again, the only requirement here is that of using a Road car, but do be aware that there are some ferocious machines in this race, like the Aston Martin Valkyrie. You’ll need plenty of poke if you want to win this five-lap tour of Trial Mountain, worth 100,000cr.
That means there’s two six-figure races this week, with the World Touring Car 800 wrapping things up as it so frequently does. On this occasion the “800” part is a hard cap, but you can use any car you like so long as it’s on Racing tires (any grade) and still under the 800PP limit. Watch out for high fuel consumption and tire wear multipliers on this ten-lap run of Monza, and there’s 147,000cr for taking the win.
This week bonus rewards are credit tickets across the board. There’s 100,000cr, 200,000cr, and 500,000cr for completing any one, any three, and all five events respectively. Don’t forget that these are tickets, not pure credit rewards, and will need to be redeemed from within the Gifts section of your Garage.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday April 11.
