GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series: Double-Double-Header Online Special Event and Time Trials

Gran Turismo SportWeekly Race Series 6 March 23, 2020 by

Unprecedented times mean unprecedented measures. The world is now attempting to practice “self-isolation” — keeping away from other people in order to protect each other from infection.

If you’re anything like us, you’re all bored and crawling the walls by now. There’s no sport on the television, and we’ve cleaned just about every square inch of the house. We all need something to do, and the GTPlanet Weekly Race Series has your back.

Today, we posted up a double-header Time Trial that will run through April 6, and we’ve also posted details for an online special event that will run in Worldwide Time Slots four times over the next two weekends. All the details are below.

WRS Time Trials

GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series (WRS) is headed back to the two World Circuits that were most recently added to GT Sport. Our current Time Trial event is a double-header, featuring the Ferrari 458 Italia Gr.4 at Spa Francorchamps, and the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport ’16 at Laguna Seca.

You can run one event or both, as you practice and prepare for the upcoming Pick and Mix. We did a lot of testing for this event, and these were our two favorite car/track combinations in all that testing.

There’s plenty of time to get some laps in, as the deadline for the both events is Monday, April 6, at 2359 GMT.

What’s Next?

If you want to join in, all you have to do is sign up. All current members of our GT Sport registry can participate, so simply sign up for the registry here.

Have questions? Anything related to the WRS registry can be discussed in this thread in the WRS forum.
