PMC19: Win a year’s Premium membership!

This week we see a return of the Photomode Tournament – a very popular format from our GT4 days, the Tournament starts this week with a qualification round – any interested entrants send their entry in through a Private Message to Nicknamealguem instead of in a thread, and all the entries are compiled into a poll next week. All forum members are then able to cast their votes on however many shots they think deserve to make it to the knockout portion of the tournament – the top 32 progress to said rounds, battling in head-to-head matches each week.

There will be both a PMC division (no editing), and 2.0 (light Photoshop editing), and the winners of both will receive a year’s subscription to our forum’s Premium membership service. Not to mention, there will be in-game prizes for them too, as well as the 2nd and 3rd place users. As an added bonus, the highest-voted images in the qualifier will receive a bonus car from me as well!

Coverage of the Tournament will pop up at the beginning of the news posts each week, with a short blurb, followed by the usual run-down of the four weekly competitions. Head on over to the Qualifier thread for info on the Tournament… and about that run-down?

Last Week’s Winner: LACOSTER

This Week’s Theme: PD added a few new filters for our use with GT5, one recreating the tilt-shift lens technique that’s become much more popular over the last few years. With that in mind, LACOSTER has made this week’s theme Every Child’s Dream, ensuring everybody uses the Miniature filter.  Jump to the thread now!

This Week’s Poll: Week 18’s theme was Welcome To Germany, and garnered a large amount of varied entries taken on the famous Nurburgring. It’s up to the user-base to decide who wins… Jump to the thread now!

Last Week’s Winner: TVR&Ferrari_Fan

This Week’s Theme: An H2H (Head2Head) competition this week, where entrants must pick their “team”; LMP Racers: Day vs Night. TVR has asked users to photograph new-millenium Le Mans Prototypes at, well, Le Mans, and they have to avoid those picturesque dusk or dawn shots, specifically choosing day, or night. Which side will you pick? Jump to the thread now!

This Week’s Poll: Last week’s theme, Everything Japanese, brought out a ton of good entries, ranging from tiny econoboxes to SuperGT racers slugging it out on track, as a fantastic ode to all Japan has provided in the automotive world. Now, it’s time to vote. Jump to the thread now!

Last Week’s Winner: nismo33

This Week’s Theme: In Certain Car, Certain Location this week, nismo33 has provided what’s sure to be a popular one: Power Laps. Take your insanely fast Zonda R to the Top Gear Test Track and play like the infamous BBC bunch! Jump to the thread now!

This Week’s Poll: Which car track combo was last week? Ah, Subies In The Snow. RM’d Imprezas took to Chamonix, and unsurprisingly, this combo gelled well for a lot of users. Figure out which you like best, and cast your vote! Jump to the thread now!

Last Week’s Winner: Raphaele

This Week’s Theme: Raphaele has provided a very interesting theme this week, open to interpretation: simply, Art. Using your image-editing program of choice, take a GT5 photo and pull a Picasso – give us something that would look right hanging in a gallery! Jump to the thread now!

This Week’s Poll: Reeling in a record number of entries for the PM/PS competition, last week’s Magazine Covers has plenty of quality entries, both mimicking existing magazines, or being fully fictional works. Which one would you subscribe to? Jump to the thread now!

All sound a bit complicated? Read this thread for an explanation on how to get your images off your PS3 and onto a computer, and read over the individual rules in each competition’s thread. If you’re further stuck, feel free to Private Message me (click here). Start snapping those digital shutters!
