A few weeks back, some of the fastest drivers in sim racing descended upon Las Vegas for a chance to win big money in the Visa Vegas eRace. While the race itself was a controversial event in the spotlight, it did afford us the light-hearted entertainment above.

One of the most prominent pieces of technology to come out of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the self-driving car, and BMW is the latest company to throw its hat into the ring.

During its presentation at CES 2017 yesterday, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it has sold 53.4 million PlayStation 4 units as of the beginning of the year.

Earlier this month, Formula E announced a competition which would ultimately have its pros taking on 10 of the world’s fastest virtual drivers in an eRace worth $1 million in cash.

As the engine of eSports fires on all cylinders with the likes of GT Academy qualifiers, the Forza Racing Championship, and iRacing’s NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series, Cloud Sport and Formula E are looking to add a significant spark with the recently announced ‘Road to Vegas Challenge.’
