It seems like only six months ago that we were bringing you the bad news that the next title in the video gaming culture phenomenon series Grand Theft Auto had been delayed to 2026, and here we are again.

In a bit of a good news/bad news situation, Rockstar Games has confirmed that its original release plan for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, stated as some time in 2025, won’t happen — but has confirmed a release date of May 26, 2026.

After months of rumors, speculation, and leaks, Rockstar Games has today officially confirmed that it will be releasing remastered versions of the three “3D era” Grand Theft Auto titles.

As part of his YouTube series looking into the world of car design, legendary automotive designer Frank Stephenson has put digital pen to paper to create a unique vehicle for Grand Theft Auto V.

Grand Theft Auto Online is set to gain a brand new set of car and car culture content in an update arriving next week. Going by the official name “Los Santos Tuners”, the new content pack will bring 17 new vehicles as well as a new hub, races, missions, and rewards.

Rockstar Games has announced that the enhanced, new-generation version of Grand Theft Auto V will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles on November 11 2021.

It’s fair to say that we don’t cover Grand Theft Auto much on GTPlanet. Although the name itself relates to cars, and — as racers at heart — we love driving, collecting, modifying, and racing the cars in the game, it doesn’t truly fall under our umbrella.
