This Week’s Forza Horizon 4 Season Change: A Wild Bull Closes Out Spring

The sun is out once more, as Spring has made its return to Forza Horizon 4. Despite excitement centering around the Series 17 update, there is the small matter of finishing Series 16 with the latest season.

One final Playlist update for Series 16 brings a new set of prizes for 50% and 80% completion. This week marks the arrival of a hardcore raging bull.

The Ultimate Diablo Enters

The main debut this week is the last of the old school Lamborghinis. Lambo built the Diablo GTR in 1999 to compete in its Supertrofeo series, turning the already insane Diablo up to eleven.

Already pretty potent, Sant’Agata tweaked the Diablo’s 6.0-liter V12 up to 590hp, along with a host of handling and aero upgrades. Although this Lambo was built for racing, it will require taming to unleash its full potential on the streets of Britain.

For something less insane, there’s the 2005 Lotus Elise. This small roadster is all about nimble handling and light weight. Even though it has just 156hp from its 1.8-liter engine, the Elise weighs in at under 1,800lb. For flying through the winding countryside, the Elise will be a lot of fun.

Prizes for this weeks seasonal championships include the Chevrolet Impala and Buick GSX.

The main stand-out prize this week is the Volkswagen ID R. This prototype electric racer is one of the most exciting cars in recent years. Powered by two electric motors, the ID R puts out 670hp. Those wanting to experience its record-breaking performance will be eager to take it to Fortune Island’s mountain road.

You can acquire the ID R by winning the seasonal championship “The Old Smokey”.

Forzathon Events

Forzathon takes a look back to the past this week, with the spotlight shining one the Jaguar XJ220, once the fastest production car in the world. Grab this British supercar to get things rolling.

Up next, take the XJ220 off road and win 3 Dirt Trail events. Afterwards, take the big Jag for a drive around the map. The distance? 20 miles. With the performance available, the third objective should fly past.

Finally, unleash the Jag’s full power and take it up to its official top speed of 220mph to finish off this week.

Forzathon Shop

The Forzathon Shop continues hosting new cars every day as part of Playground Games’ advent calendar.

At time of writing, the spotlight car in the shop is the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder. The replacement for the Carrera GT forms one third of the “Holy Trinity” and helped to kick-start the era of hybrid hypercars.

Powered by a race-bred 4.6-liter V8 and a pair of electric motors, the 918 produces a dizzying 887hp. Unlike its other hybrid rivals, the 918 powers all four wheels, allowing better deployment of its hybrid power.

As part of the advent calendar, the 918 can be obtained absolutely free.

If you’re after new avatar apparel, there’s a Reindeer Nose, Elf Hat and Santa outfit available to purchase.
