Overview

Gran Turismo 5 is the first full GT game to be released on the Sony PlayStation 3 console. It was released worldwide on November 24, 2010 after more than 5 years of development and a cost of more than $80 million, making it the second-most expensive game of all time as of 2010.

GT5 includes over 1,000 cars and 70 tracks and introduces many significant features to the series, including day/night transitions, dynamic weather, a “course maker”, 3D television support, and vehicular damage, both cosmetic and mechanical. It also introduces a robust set of online game-play features, and has received regular software and game-play event updates throughout 2011.
