Cuando lanzaran otro pack de ampliaciones espero que vengan más coches y el circuito de twin ring motegui entre otras cosas que faltan mercedes y audi en sus versiones extremas.

  2. mrmuffins47

you have got to be kidding me. wtf?! another stupid ass 400 500 650 event? come on pd puull your heads out of oyu asses and do something right.

  3. byegad

Surely the 400, 500 650pp format has run it course by now?

Please can we have some Challenges along the lines of GT, World Circuit Tours Japanese Classics or the European Challenge. All of these are much more fun than the repetitive 400, 500, 650pp formula which has lost its shine.

How about a British car 550pp series? Or another American Muscle car challenge? Or an LMP series? Even a 450, 575, 700pp Challenge would be a change.

Anything but 400, 500, 650pp please! Pretty please??

    1. challengerrt10

You’re absolutely right. There are so many great cars with PP around 430 or 530. I don’t want to tune them or to weaken their engines. I want to drive them as they are.

KAZ, please alter the PP regulations. It would be a simple change making a huge difference and fun!!

  4. MadmuppGT

As much as it pains me to say, I’ve not had GT5 in my PS3 for like 4 days now. I’ve lost the 200% bonus and I’m not even fussed… I’ve now seen the seasonals as pretty standard and dull, even winning the credits is pointless now because I have all the cars I want… I dont see the point in buying a standard version of a premium I have, or buying a US version or spec 2/v/s etc when I already have one example of the model.

Please note this isnt me bashing the game, I dont know how I can, I mean its supplied me with almost daily play since release, but its gotten very stale, I’ve driven every track to death in all the cars I want… I’m pretty much as fast as I can be… doing laps of tracks was starting to feel more like the commute to work…

I hope some new content comes along or a GT6 announcement happens soon to breath some fresh life into the game.

    1. TokoTurismo

Me too. The seasonals is just, not what it used to be. Sure I played GT “a bit”, but starting to just put it one the side. I’ve even went and hook back up my PS2 and played GT3 and GT4, saying how much better and complete they are compared to GT5. I too would like to hear GT6’s announcement, because GT5 is just dead and it’s not going anywhere.

  5. Progress823

    ….*yawn*…..

    650pp Suzuka seasonal tutorial:

    1) Get out 620pp tuned Corvette ZO6 RM.
    2) Start race.
    3) Pass 8 GT500, LM and Prototype cars on lap 1.
    4) Pass a XJ13 and Mark IV race car on lap 2.
    5) Chase a white rabbit (In this case – GT LM spec II race car) for half of lap 3.
    6) Make pass.
    7) Complete race and finish with a 18 second lead.

    Oh, what joy!!!

    1. DuskTrooper

If you used a non-tuned car that was in the same league as the cars you’re racing with, you’d have much more of a challenge.

    2. Progress823

Per your request, retried with stock Castrol Tom’s Supra. Took lead on lap 4. 7 second win.

  6. LeeMoldon

At least you won’t be racing against the same 11 cars again….McLaren F1, zonda, and 9 gt500 cars.

    1. MadmuppGT

With the McLaren F1 and Zonda taking a quick 1st and 2nd place lead? yeah, we’ve all been there

    1. SavageEvil

Been that was for a little while now, wonder what’s going on. I hope the next update fixes the interior standard view to be more like the PSP GT version, I hate not seeing my mirrors on cars that have the mirrors on the body or fenders. Also an option to turn off the interiors in premium cars, not sure why but it is a bit of a distraction, the blackened standard interiors gives me the same focus ability that you have in a real car, where your vision narrows to only pay attention to what is just ahead of your windshield.

    2. Pit Crew

LastOCD had 28 cars, as did the one before it. Shortest OCD car list Ican remember.

OFF TOPIC: Sunday Sunday Fun day GTACADEMY Round 3. Lets get’er done lol, enjoy my friends.

    3. DuskTrooper

SavageEvil, If are getting distracted by the premium cockpits, why not try using on of the other 3 camera angles instead?

    1. nascarfn

no i aint mad and i want to drive chevys and any american trucks i live and breath trucks where i come from the cars sre cool to but i just wish thaere were proper permium trucks i hate the low ride crap… we all have our own opinions and mine is we need more trucks

    2. another_jakhole

Saying, “No one wants to drive chevy trucks”, is complete ignorance. How do you know what every person wants?

    3. another_jakhole

“Ford F-150 VelociRaptor 800 by Hennessey.. I love that thing!”

The “normal” Raptor would do. That **** is crazy.

    4. SavageEvil

Trucks aren’t bad, but I wished that PD had also an off road package upgrade for trucks. You know real truck suspensions, lift kits and oversized tires for off roading and bring back all the damn rally courses from older GT. Street trucks are a tad boring as it’s not much fun as a car. Confused why there are Dakar Rally vehicles but not one wide open course to traverse and run the physics and suspension geometry through it’s paces.

  7. RobDoggy05

Ok seriously this may sound dumb but I cant find that Toyota anywhere, I have the FT-86 Concept’09, 86GT ’12 and FT-86 G Sports Concept ’10… Am I missing something here??? I need that car coz it has a nice a$$!!!!

    1. RobDoggy05

“In all Seriousness, the car is the 2012 Toyota FT-86 Concept II, which is obtainable by purchasing multiple copies of any given DLC pack.” Quoted by previous comments. Any1 explain please? I have, Car pack 1 and 3, and speed test pack..

    2. another_jakhole

If you bought a paint pack before, try buying it again. If you haven’t, then it’s up to you if want to risk spending 4 bux on them and possibly not getting the car.

  8. Brunskill777

A specs are ok, but it’s always the same pp, the same ai cars, I always use the same car. B spec is crap, too time consuming, boring, always the same, time trials and drift trials are ok, but some drift trials are really hard. I really want to see a return of the race series. We haven’t had one of them since the american muscle AT THE LAST UPDATE. If they’d left all of the other events on I could do them again but they’re not on. And now the DLC is less cars, less race cars, more rubbish cars, all cars full price, not half price as they used to. I still do the races and trials, just I need something new to get my teeth into. GT is still a great game, just need a change to put my full attention back on it.

    1. TokoTurismo

I wonder why PD is holding back. Kaz should have known we wanted something different a long time ago. :( Everyone is giving great ideas for the seasonals, “especially A-Spec of course, not B-Spec which is boring.” Do we have to tweet him or something to get his attention? He’s hardly ever visting GTP which I don’t get. Now he’s going off testing a race spec GT-R for a 24hr race or something… :\

  9. SavageEvil

Nice new events, lots of completely inane comments in here. “…finally A Spec events, they usually update b Spec…” Retard, it’s been a rotating thing for a few months now, A Spec update then a B Spec update usually 2 weeks apart. What is so hard in finding another car to tune, I have literally hundreds of cars tuned to 500PP, there are few crappy cars lots of mid tier cars and a little smattering of beasts that more than do damage. That’s the thing I enjoy with having so many cars to choose from, I can go in and tune a car and figure out which PP and course suits it best. Personally I don’t really like the 650PP race car thing, that one should actually float 600 to 700 PP depending on your vehicle choice and PP that would be interesting because this game has more than enough race cars to fill a range of PP.

@rhine9, nice opinion I own both games as well and I prefer GT5 as I still have consistent visuals when I select any car and my car doesn’t try to steer itself when the aids are off. I noticed something odd with visual quality in FM4 take the F40 and look at it especially the rear end, you know that you can actually see through rear panel but when you get the car on the track in FM4 you can’t, GT5 it stays consistent no matter where the car is viewed and that’s all the time. GT5’s courses are also closer to real life that FM4, while FM4 does have more update US courses their foreign courses are still inaccurate hold overs from FM2 and 3. It’s a fun game but little things that annoy me in both games make me go between the two for my kicks. Love FM4 sound reproduction on the stock vehicles but tuned cars can get on your nerves the sounds really sound um, faked or something. Worst offense is the transmission thing in FM4, how the hell is it that every car somehow can deal with the power you shove into in with a stock transmission, when most road cars are electronically limited and gearing is short? That parts always baffles me to no end, many super cars have wider than normal gearing but cars like the ACR and ZR1 gearing somehow perfectly set for pretty much any hp you toss in there without upgrading the transmission…suspect.

    1. rhine9

Hi, yeah I agree with what ur saying both are far from perfect but limited to console spec do pretty fine job. I guess I’m enjoying forza more as Ive

    2. rhine9

Ive completed gt5 well most of it! and it’s just a dead end now . With the same old seasonal events every other week which is so boring. Forza has so many online options and it’s more socially entertaining with teams to join etc. Both great games but ppl will always prefer one or the other.

  10. MyFavoriteGame

I don’t wanna sound like a troll here, but is having “more cars” or even “more tracks” gonna add that much re-playability to this game? I own over 400 cars in this game (very few repeats) and I haven’t touched 75% of them, have hardly used the 2 last DLC cars or track either.

I’m not saying it won’t but, I feel like giving us more cars would be just covering up a stab wound with a bandage. The problems with GT5 is much deeper than a simple “car pack, track pack” DLC. Maybe PD realizes that and are working diligently to make GT6 a better, more appealing and current game.

Yes the are a number of cars I would love, but I also don’t see them adding that much more to my enjoyment of GT5. As far as tracks, they do add a lot of variety to online play, but just like SPA, eventually they’re just gonna get lost in the crowd of all the other great tracks.

    Whatever happened to ;

    – Official race clubs
    – Team Based racing (online also)
    – Multi-Class Enduro Racing (Le Mans )
    – Official drag strips (2,4 & 6 lane)
    – Online drift modes
    – Series events (like a-spec, but online also)
    – B-Spec and A-spec endurance races

These thing, (IMO) would add more value to this game than any car or track would. If anyone has other ideas feel free to add :D, and to those who know the inner-workings of programming, how difficult would these things be to add to an already complete game?

    1. researchALLwars

Could you guys imagine Tandem Drift competitions online or offline 2-player? Right now, what we basically have is Drift Practice.

Just send two cars out, one slightly ahead of the other, both trying to score big points. If you hit the other car, you’re disqualified. If you pass him while drifting, you get double points on that drift. What a blast that would be!

Put this in a tournament format and you’ve got a real winner. Gran Turismo throws plenty of marketing money toward official real-life drift events. How bout throwing a (very) little programming time at it? When someone at a drift even sees the GT5 advertising, and subsequently buys the game- they are going to be VERY dissapointed with what they get in the drifting department. Come on man.

      .

    2. MyFavoriteGame

^ YES! Japanese Touge style! But that’s probably too “Arcade” for the hardcore GT fans hahaha.

    3. JohnyPiston

I dont reckon Touge could possibly be that difficult. Sometimes when I am chasing my own ghost (or when its chasing me) on The Green hell, it feels like I am in a touge battle. They even give the splits ..which is exactly what you want in Touge. I reckon they already have most of the code in terms of the programming …its just a question of inheriting it and repurposing it. But then again, it depends on how everything has been coded. If we are talking one monolithic mother of a program, than it would be about near impossible. But then its hard to imagine they would not be using Object Oriented Code in this day and age …

  11. lyzheng

There’s really nothing to look forward to for gt5. Hopefully the new game won’t be such a let down.

    1. Foxiol

One game that you are still playing or taking care more than a year and a half is not a let down to me. Think again and tell me if you are still playing with games released in 2010 (despite late 2010). I don´t think so. This game still has a tons of replay value compared to the rest in the entire market.

  12. GRAFX21

same AI cars. Same PP. I like driving but damn give me a challenge. Not me chasing the #1 car only in front. Smh.

    1. TokoTurismo

+1 BMfan. People need to get over the PP now, cuz I did. Lets just tune the other cars and give them a chance for a change.

    2. BMfan

I just counted 48 cars i could use in the 400pp class and that’s only premium cars.
That’s also excluding cars i could lower the pp just to use in that class.

    3. MuoNiuLa

Forget PP restrictions. Car restrictions would be a whole lot better. I would love to see the Boxer engine event that was in GT3/GT4. Only Subarus and RUFs were allowed. Come on PD, there are over 1000 cars in the game. I know you can make plenty of events like this.

  13. Pit Crew

Ummmm all the cars are unlocked. What’s your point? You can actually buy Forza now, though you will have to “Unlock” those cars too im guessing.

    1. YMG-7

waiting for a pagani zonda c12s 7.3 since the first day. and I mean 11.24.2010 they say that car is in the game but I’m not sure now. cuz I didn’t see it.

    2. Pit Crew

YMG-7 if you can, acquire a lvl 15 gift ticket . you may have to dupe it though but your car resides there. good luck

    3. Pit Crew

@another-jakhole Im not sure bout the street r390 nissan but the race car version is on either lvl 21 or lvl 23 gift ticket. not sure if you dupe cars or tickets but if you do and have those 2 gift ticket give it a go.

  14. Cobra527

Please UNLOCK all cars Kaz. PLEASE i paid for the game to drive all of the cars. I just want to drive and tune no more BS. Maybe ill get Forza next time.

  15. HKSBro92

Yes!!! A 300C in the OCD!! I’ve been looking for this car for AGES!! Now if only this game had an engine swap feature…I would’ve shoved a Viper V10 engine in it :)

    1. Pit Crew

dang hks if you had Modern Muscle car ticket you coulda been enjoying for a while though you prob gotta dupe it, and hope for the best. great muscle and equal car at daytona. will do solid 215mph on the super stretch and drafts like crazy. enjoy bro

    1. Pit Crew

I used the DLC Mini Cooper, but if you have a MG TF 160 (Standard ) it works well also without a whole lot of tuning and the car is MR Drivetrain.

    2. legoheli

      Tuned Honda CR-Z. Works wonders.

Make sure to install FC Suspension and give it high spring rates and a bit of camber and toe in on the front wheels.

  16. markEmarc

gt5 hasnt been out of the box since last dlc, seasonals r boring as hell, they should put all there energy into more tracks and lots of them,

  17. Hentis

Ok a new aspec event, I’ll give it a go when I get 5 minutes. As for DLC some games get a certain amount of DLC some don’t even get any. PD are still SUPPORTING a title tha was released 18 months ago. Most people have the GT ACADEMY 2012 game and most them should receive the bonuses for getting the golds, Now some of you can’t seem to quite grasp the point that maybe the reason that the DLC has not been so forthcoming over the past few months is because they have been getting GT Academy 2012 off the ground. If your that jealous about FM4 getting Dlc every week or month then go get it and play it. I don’t.

DLC is a nice thing to have but I personally would like to see all this content / work going into GT6. I am enjoying GT5 at the moment with the majority of the Seasonal events. Although like one or two people have pointed out it would be nice to have the old “themed” Seasonals back? By the looks of it today Kaz is at the Nordschlieffe testing the car for the up coming 24 hours race, :)

  18. kratosismydad

@ Force9: i agree totally, i have at least 10 cars of each pp class, and i’ve found some hidden gems and been challenged to set them up properly instead just relying on pure power. it does suck that you don’t get to buy the dlc though.

  19. sanesh21

Will definitely give this a go later on, can’t take part in GT academy anyway. The OCD is kinda lame haha.

    1. HuskyGT

Pure Fiats. I guess this is the time for me to get the so desired Panda and paint it in gold.

You should try GT Academy. My country also isn’t part of it but I downloaded it anayway. Even if you are not eligable, you’ll still be able to do the test to win the new GT Academy car pack, and just maybe the Motegi course(again, maybe. if it’s unlocked as a prize).

  20. HuskyGT

    I agree. Better than B-Spec.

Indy road course sound cool. I’ve never raced in that track before with other oponents. The Grand Valley one sounds like the new money maker. Suzuka will be kind of boring.

Maybe next time we’ll get a better variety of PP.

  21. Force9

I can’t help but share the feeling of each and every complaint of comment aired here. I am very disappointed with how the GT academy has taken over the entire GT experience and please provide me an opportunity to explain.
First and foremost, what does the GT academy provide me, someone who is in a country that does not form part of this? Will I have to pay for something that other got for free just because I was not part of the elite few countries?
Secondly I have also paid hard earned money to own GT5 and yet my money is not good enough for regular and I mean regular fixed term DLC’s.
Furthemore I’ve been doing all the seasonal events because to me that shows a good commitment from the development house and it deserves my support. It doesn’t matter to me that is the same pp classes every time.. Surely with a 1000+ cars one can have multiple cars for each class and if it’s not challenging enough try lower pp cars. There is always as way to keep yourself entertained if you really want to.
Lastly I’m sure in many countries there are gaming leagues where you could measure yourself against other races, real racers, so join and keep yourself entertained in that way as well. I’ve been racing in ’76 gti clubs, nationwide leagues, team challanges etc. Doing this I have found a new and much greater joy playing GT5. Yes I would also love to have DLC, I’m just as frustrated as the next, but for another reason all together. New DLC could mean new possibilities for racing, events, clubs, etc.

Here even with the high amount of DC’s the racers are still excited about any new race or challange. Whether it is with or with out DLC we enjoy the GAME much more.

  22. Maddens Raiders

I wonder if the lot of serial plaintiffs here also find the time to go to other websites of your “favorite developers” for PS3, 360, or PC and bitch and moan incessantly about what they give you for *free* from a “game” that released in 2010. I also wonder if you engage in this behaviour for weeks on end w/o fail?

Don’t bother answering. I already know the answer. Grow up.

    1. Pit Crew

Some of us do seem to be getting alot out of year and a half old game, and with these new lvl cards its challenging to pick them apart for no miles cars, and rare rides (Standard Elise Motorsport Lotus & Lotus Esprit V8 SE hardly show in my used car lot) and then showoff to your friends.

I do agree some arent applying theirself enuff, then over complain about things easily remedied, according to their playing style.

  23. MrMY02WRX

Oh boy is anyone else as sick to death as I am of the same A-Spec/B-Spec 400/500/650PP Seasonals being put out? For crying out loud give us an MR or 4WD event, another Ferrari or Supercar event, or heck, just anything but this again and again and again and again and……………………..

    1. Pit Crew

Anything is better then bspec. Was hoping for a Lesarthe seasonal, but maybe next time. lvl 16 cars should suffice.

    1. kekke2000

I haven’t tested all the 1000 cars yet. I dont know what a few more cars would do for the gameplay? Not much.

    2. TokoTurismo

Such a dumn comment, sorry to say but it’s true. You really believe D.L.C. is going to stop people from playing GT5 right. And yes your saying that because FM4 sells dlc monthly then GT5 is that it? Who cares? Either play another game for the time being or be PATIENT!

    3. TomBrady

I’m sure people will play GT5 straight until GT6. But you have a point, they seriously need to get their heads out of their asses and release DLC, and stop being bitchbloods about it.

    4. Pit Crew

Makes ya wonder what some players are doing on this game somtimes. tune something, race something, buy something, paint something. Keep yourself occupied till we get some solid DLC info.

    5. Quakebass

I honestly wonder why some people think a game is centered around it’s DLC; sure it’s a bi late, but GT5 isn’t crashing and breaking itself without it. But then again, DLC is one hell of a drug.

    6. TomBrady

      @Quake
True. It’s not like the game is useless without DLC or even needs more cars, but we do. It’s what we the customer wants, and it’s a simple thing that will make them cash money so I think they need to keep putting it out. All of it will end up in GT6 anyways so it’s not like it’s getting in the way of that. I bet Kaz regrets ever saying “every 2 months”, because now PD looks kind of stupid. Especially after how well the first 3 DLCs did, and they can’t keep it coming

    7. TokoTurismo

^ Why isn’t PD taking the chance too, I mean really. If the DLC sold great, then make more… Why would they stop? Because of GT Academy 2012? Not even an update? Aww Kaz… :(

    8. TomBrady

      @Toko
Totally agreed. DLC 1 complete pack alone sold more copies than forza 4. Not to mention all the people who got just the tracks/cars/suits and the people that got multiple paints. It’s not like they’re giving it away either. The prices aren’t bad, but I’m sure they make good money off of them.

    1. TomBrady

Very true. But you really can’t complain. I think you’re forgetting all the other games that add content every week like this, oh wait…

    2. Quakebass

I wouldn’t say PD as NO imagination, they just haven’t been using it recently; I miss the REAL seasonals with names and obvious points or restrictions, not just “A-Spec Challenge #6”, with repetitive restrictions.

    3. TomBrady

      @muoniula
We don’t really care about what you consider because you’re a proven ginnygoat forza fanboy. You’ll come up with any excuse to stay in denial. Eitherway, it’s new races/TT’s being added every week. It keeps the game fresh. Plus, they’re PP events, so you can use any car you want. Anytime you have things to do in a game, you didn’t before, it’s new content. It may not be huge, but it is when you consider that they’ve been doing it since 2010.

    4. MuoNiuLa

@TomBrady: Please prove how I’m a Forza fanboy when I play BOTH games, own every GT up until now, and even admitted that Forza’s DLC could be better if Turn 10 would just add tracks. Get out of town.

  24. THEPUNISHER

the 650 pp races are very very boring for me alot of events i didn’t finish because of 650 pp cars

    1. DuskTrooper

In all Seriousness, the car is the 2012 Toyota FT-86 Concept II, which is obtainable by purchasing multiple copies of any given DLC pack.

    2. another_jakhole

      Yup ^^^

I’m going to buy a paint pack to try and it, so I hope it’s still available.

    3. affan

Damn. That’s quite a sweet shot. I have the car, but it was unrecognizable from this angle. Cheers DuskTrooper *thumbs up*

    1. TomBrady

All times, are good time to get a wheel. Well unless you don’t have a console or games. Otherwise, it’s 100% worth it. It’s hard to explain how awesome they are.

    2. CarBastard

You’ll never go back to a controller. That’s the unanimous opinion of wheel users. No more joysticks or keyboards, pedals and wheels are the way to go if you wan’t to have a fun and immersive time!

    3. chriz00

If yo get the DFGT, make sure you pick up the “Gran TurGismo” shifting paddles, make’s shifting a lot more better.

    4. TomBrady

      @Austin864
Same here. I honestly can’t remember the last time I used a controller but I know it has been over a year. There’s never any point to use it. The closest I come is when I use my PSP for GT PSP, Racedriver 2006, and F1 2009. I also play a little GT2, but otherwise, I would never EVER use a controller with a game my wheel is compatible with. Honestly, when I hear friends say they’re using the controller because they didn’t feel like setting up their wheel, it disgusts me. Such laziness. They shouldn’t be playing GT5 if they can’t even set it up and take advantage lol

    5. Quakebass

      @CarBastard:

That entire statement is irrelevant if your wheel sucks… Which is my situation. I need a DFGT… right now I’ve got a crappy, out-dated DFP, which crashes MotorStorm: Apocalypse.
