Black Friday Deals: Fanatec Offers Big Discounts and a Brand New F1 Wheel

You’re full of turkey. Your wallet is lighter after Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox sales. And there’s still more: Fanatec is offering some of its sim racing gear at the cheapest prices of the year.

Before we get to the deals, there’s the new gear. Fanatec has unveiled the Clubsport Steering Wheel F1 you see up above. A genuine carbon fiber version of the same wheel the official F1 Esports drivers use, it’s a limited edition during this weekend. It works with the existing Fanatec ecosystem, and is compatible with the Podium Series Advanced Paddle Module, which adds a dual-clutch system and magnetic shifters.

Only 500 of the new rim are available (and roughly half are spoken for at the time of writing), so you’ll want to act fast to snap up the $349.95 tiller. Check out the deal here.

If you want the rim mixed with the experience of driving an F1 car, you can also pick up the carbon fiber wonder with a PC key for F1 2018. It’s essentially getting the game for $15, which is a better deal than you’ll find for Codies’ latest and greatest anywhere. Check out the deal here.

Over to the sales, if you’ve been itching to jump into the Fanatec ecosystem with both feet, the German team has put together a $995.95 set to snap up all the essentials for a three-platform setup. It starts with the CSL Elite PS4 base (one of our favorites in the mid-range market), before stacking on the Clubsport Universal Hub for XBox One, the Clubsport Quick Release Adapter, and two different steering wheels. Underfoot are the excellent CSL Elite pedals with loadcell. Representing savings of $180, this package isn’t cheap, but it comes with everything you’ll need for a serious setup. Check out the deal here.

As we mentioned, the CSL Elite PS4 base on its own is one of our favorites in the market. So it’s even better to see it on sale this weekend, at a useful 25% off. For $300, you get stronger internals versus the original, XB1-compatible CSL Elite. Out of the box, the Elite PS4 is compatible with Sony’s system and PC, but connect any Xbox-compatible rim and you’ve got one of the only true three-platform setups on the market. Check out the deal here.
