Well finally got some close ups of them Hot Wheels 100% vehicles as well as some shots of them showing off there features!

Warning! Lots of pictures inside!

Here are the two Deora's from the 35th Anniversary of Hot Wheels set.

IMG_0818.JPG

Deora II. Man I really dig that paint job and them wheels not to mention the amazing detailing! Everything is done so well. They honestly could not have done a better job with this thing! :)👍

IMG_0819.JPG

IMG_0820.JPG

And here it is with the hatch open. Never seen any other Deora II like this.

IMG_0827.JPG

This one is also really good. No special features like the Deora II but still a really good one! :)👍 Has details in place I didn't expect it to.

IMG_0821.JPG

IMG_0822.JPG

And here is the back of the box.

IMG_0823.JPG

And here are the Slammed trucks!

IMG_0814.JPG

IMG_0831.JPG

Ford F-150 Lightning. I can't help but drool at the paint job on this thing! This is the red I like to see on any red vehicle, honestly one of the best reds I have ever seen! Those wheels are truly amazing and not something you see everyday. The headlights and taillights are as perfect as they can be.

IMG_0824.JPG

IMG_0825.JPG

Here it is with the bed cover open. Didn't even know it came up like that until I opened the box! :D

IMG_0826.JPG

Chevy Crew Cab. I must say this is one of the biggest Hot Wheels I have ever owned in terms of size. I was skeptical at first as to whether or not it was 1/64 scale, but according to the box it is. There is a nasty place from where the rubber bands were but other than that, very amazed with this one too, especially the wheels! Kind of takes me back to the early days when I used to collect Dub City's. They had similar paint jobs with there trucks, much like this one.

IMG_0828.JPG

IMG_0829.JPG

And here it is with the bed cover up.

IMG_0830.JPG

And of course the back of the box.

IMG_0841.JPG

And finally the Foose Design set! :D

IMG_0813.JPG

IMG_0832.JPG

Manhattan. Truly an amazing vehicle! Probably the 2nd longest in terms of length next to the Chevy Crew Cab posted earlier. Love the fine detailing and the wheels! Interior looks really cool as well! :)👍

IMG_0833.JPG

IMG_0834.JPG

Crappy picture but here is the hood opened to show off the engine.

IMG_0835.JPG

Hemisfear. Love the name and how it is written on the side. :)👍 Everything on it is cool! :D

IMG_0836.JPG

IMG_0837.JPG

And finally here is the back of the box! :)

Man Chip Foose must have been awesome back in the days.....

My one reason for customizing toy cars is because I love personalizing car cosmetics, and it costs tremendously less to do that than to a real car. That last reason is more than enough to trump their waste-of-money argument, because it's a middle ground solution between your hobby and money-spending. I could have walls covered in highly detailed, highly modified Hot Wheels, and still would've spent less money than I would have on a single used car.

Oh. Forgot one other brand whose quality and detail is superb for its price: CM's Corporation.

Some Aoshimas are like $5-6 and they aren't terrible in quality either. Want a link to all 3 Suzuki Cappucinos?

I'd like to get in to customizing, but I'm afraid of screwing it up. I have a few Hot Wheels that I'd like to give a more tame paint job.

Well, when you think about it, screwing up a project involving a $1 car is relatively harmless. If you mess it up, you can just start again. Your can of paint will last you several paintjobs. I recently laid down a coat of paint I took off 3 minutes after. I screwed up something just yesterday and found myself lazily covering it up with another coat of paint. Tomorrow, if I notice there's too much paint on the body, I'll probably just strip it down and redo it again. No harm done.

Although it is best to get it done right the first time because it is much harder to remove the paint after it has been painted again.

I suppose. I like hot wheels, but man, they make everything look like a hot rod. I like cars without flames, too!

I'm the same way. I'd love to do a few wheel swaps.
*Runs to see if 1/64th scale Torque thrusts are a thing*

You know what the problem is though about the flame decals? If those certain castings have had earlier releases, chances are, those releases already have the tame flame-less paintjobs. They just have to add "extra stuff" to avoid looking like duplicates. The 2011 Nightburnerz Ferrari Enzo had a red and yellow release with side stripes along the side skirt. In 2013, they released a red and yellow Enzo again, but they put some whack triangular tampos on the fenders instead.

Although it is best to get it done right the first time because it is much harder to remove the paint after it has been painted again.

Of course. It's definitely worth having good practice and habit, but for simple unsophisticated projects such as spraying the body black, I'd rather avoid the tedious stage of removing paint if possible.

Really? Maybe if I could find the older ones, in colors I like...

Anyway, I give up on finding these in a solid color, in a store:

58-62 Corvette.
1969 Camaro Z/28 (of course, with the appropriate stripes) (would also like a zl1).
1970 Chevelle SS 454.

I hate shipping fees. :(

What you can do is go to the cosmetic section in Walmart and grab yourself a box of cotton swabs as well as a bottle of acetone. You can remove tampos on existing cars and have them in plain colour.

This silly looking red-striped car now looks like this:

If you only knew how much others have to pay for shipping.

I had to redo my Pontiac Salsa and one of my Civics along with a few others recently and even with paint stripper and a wire brush it is still difficult to remove the paint after it has been painted. Hot Wheels paint usually comes off very easily. Model car paint? Not so much....

Gets me every time. And maybe it was because I was distracted by the RS200s but I forgot to mention the little trick of going to co.uk didn't work, still can't see his listings. It's for the best though I probably would have ended up spending money I don't really have at the moment. Weak willed. Appreciate the advice. 👍

Where did you get that Viper in the Background?
I got mine from the website called Toy Peddler, but here's one on eBay for cheap.
Guys. Please, just ask me to stop if I ever go too far.
That's what they teach you to prevent sexual harassment, amirite? "Please stop!". Awesome MBXs by the way. :D
Was going to say that you opened the wrong one but damn, more than happy to admit I stand corrected, that looks really nice. 👍
Toyota Crown, one of my favorite in real life. Already one of my favorite in TLVs, too.
My birthday was a week ago. Got your phone fixed yet, dude? Box's still here. :)
Happy belated birthday.
Has anyone else had quality issues on the paint from M2?
Not on the paint, but I routinely encounter problems with their small plastic parts.

Lightning's unbelievably awesome. I need it. 👍

My god, that rear shot. 👍

Hot Wheels Black Box(?) Hummer

Hot Wheels Oil Can '56 Ford Fairlane

Hot Wheels Jaguar XKE

Couple of Hot Wheels '40 Ford

Another fantastic Seibu Keisatsu set, and I love the new Mark II/Cressida casting. Nippon Express and the Hako aren't too shabby either...
I've been looking forward to the Mark II for months now. I wish TLV had done a better job on the wheels, but it looks fantastic otherwise.
The car says "Please stop!"

I am going to stop. Only because this is a PG-13 thread.

That Bugatti is gorgeous!
It is a very nice casting. It's unlike any other Hot Wheels I own, and much better than what I expected to receive. Here's the pic from the listing I bought:

Last two(teasers):

Hot Wheels Black Box '59 Cadillac Eldorado Woodie "'dem whitewalls!" -Andy

I also have the green one, but there is a weird feature, or defect with this one. There is a fade stripe running right down the middle. I googled it, and all orange woodies do also. My green woodie does not. Odd.

Black Box Shelby Cobra Daytona

This is my third(also have blue & red).

I've seen the Oil Cans on Ebay go for cheap. And they always have such crappy listing pics. But, if they're the quality of that Bugatti and the Fairlane, they seem like a steal.
