On the way back from visiting my moms grave today (It's 'Mothers day' here in the UK), i decided to stop off at a local race track on the returning journey. They have a toy/model exhibition shop that i'd never visited before, so i thought i'd take a quick look. There was no HW's or MBX's but to my amazement they had the entire SIKU current line up. They were quite pricey from £2.50 - £29.00  (for a bit of perspective HW's are around £1.25 - £1.50 over here). I ended up getting the 'Wiesmann GT MF 4' (been wanting that for a while), and almost went home with the Alfa 4C as well, but the scale of the thing was kind-of putting me off (must have been 1/50 scale) as well as the price £4.00, (Wiesmann was £2.50).
Anyway, i'm really happy iv'e discovered this SIKU stockist, it's a good 50-60 miles from where i live but a return journey is a must. Picked up a nice little Ebbro while i was there too (pic in other thread).

Weismann GT MF 4:

I like how they print the power output and speed on the base of these things (not in the pic).

Hey, you have a Siku Wiesmann as well, congratulations on the purchase, Doc Nessy. At least there's something happy about visiting your mother's grave, glad to hear that you could enjoy something in your trip there. :)👍

And yes, I do like the specs writing on the bottom of the car, my own Wiesmann (with flames) and my Haribo 911 both have those writings as well. I might buy one or more Sikus from the place where I bought the Wiesmann and the 911 one of these days...

I have one Siku! I can't wait to check its base.

And there it is......

Slide it back in the blister and just imagine it's there. 300km top speed, etc etc. :D

Or play War Thunder, or some other war game, much easier. :sly:

Also, I must say that I really like the way Siku create their blisters. You don't have to rip a hole in anything, you just pluck away the plastic tips and remove the back paper. And zing, vehicle out, blister undamaged. :D

Just throwin' this out there: Screw any of you if you placed a bid on a Monte Carlo '99 Impreza today.

Was hoping no one saw it and would win it at under $20.

So the Hot Wheels ones hardly sell and Mattel thinks that Matchbox needs them too?
Probably an attempt to mix it up little bit with very little cost to them.
Doubt almost always means you will. Please, never change Shinji. :p
How dare you man!

Your ancient pics of it reminded me because I got it briefly confused with a Bronco, again. Total Deju vu.
I guess that'll do it.👍

Did you still get it? How much?

$28. Thankfully it didn't hit the $30 range, because there was a crazy person willing to shell $40 on Kawa****a's listing in the past.

The last '99 I really want is the other Special color version. Kuwa****a's got it too... for $35. (bun that) I'm just going to wait.

There is also a 1998 Portugal and some other '99 WRC with a boring livery, but I could see myself skipping on those. The Monte Carlo was a biggie for me.

I really need to stop buying these things very very soon. I should begin by unsubscribing from email notifications from eBay. Won't ever look at anything after that.... most likely. Edit: I just unsubscribed to everything I had except for the Beads Triple A Gallardo. I'd kill two mockingbirds for that.

On a serious note (yes, I'm as surprised as you are). Got your AmiAmi invoice for this month yet? Mine came in a couple of days ago and just paid it this afternoon. The N Attack GT-R is freakin rad and all but man, really looking forward to getting my hands on the Toyopet Crown. Feels like I've been waiting for that one for ages!

Edit: Wait, has your AmiAmi order from last month even arrived yet?

Oh man, that looks pretty awesome in green. All I get here is the black one with flames which I'm really not a fan of.

I think Siku's are 1/55. Maybe. I recall reading that on a box somewhere. They're certainly bigger than usual.
Correct about the scale. Bit annoying, but oh well.

Oh my word... So many good kinds of vintage TLV in there it hurts. And two more GT-R's, just in case.

Especially that Snake Motors Crown, it looks like something out of an American Stock Car race. And it's brilliant, I'm sure there will be demand for it. Even if people don't know the story behind it... The Gloria is cool as well, I'm a sucker for 1980's Nissans.

I would've thought the GT3 came in. But nooooo, the CLK DTMs had to take the express line from the west coast over the weekend.

The Karuwaza Bentsters and Benzie Buddies beat the race car. No pics yet. :p
