oooo new page!
Guess.
These came from the usual fleamarket, with the exception of the coach, which was a trade with a friend.
First up, the small F1 cars which I haven't been able to find made them. I've asked here and there but to no avail. At first I thought Penny but nope. They should date back from the 60s or 70s, but whoever knows. They're minty, though.
Then this awesome little Corgi Reliant, it's from the 60s! minty, and only US$4! This has been one of the coolest finds off that place, I love it. It's already in my shelf.
The most relevant piece of the bunch, however, is the rare made in Mexico Stagefright in pretty good shape, the tampos are pretty worn but damn, this thing is pretty difficult to find.
Proof, the famous round Hecho en México seal:
Then more E-Bay stuff, this time a small but awesome lot of Hot Wheels, because most of these -the exception would be the Mercedes- are very hard to find nowadays:
A minty Jag XJS, a fine replacement for my tattered example.
The chromed Prowler is pretty difficult to find in decent shape, the chrome just becomes dull with time. The engine is there, also:
Minty Minitrek in tan, I think this is the only one I was missing, I even have the black mexican version, albeit in very bad shape. The white version was bought from Slyguy, a GTP member from Hawaii.
But the true star of the bunch is the absolutely mint Funny Money blackwall, a retake on the 1970 redline car (which I also happen to have, one of my few redlines and my first) and a very VERY difficult to find piece. I'm beyond happy with this thing.
Here's why it's called Funny Money, twin-engined funny car chassis under an armored truck body:
More later.
