Where would someone be able to get 2011 Matchbox cars? There are 3 I really want to get but don't know where I would be able to find them now.

Are there any flea markets in your area? You might be able to find some there. :) Either that you'd have to go onto eBay and what not... Which for 2011 models, will most likely be overpriced. :indiff: And lastly, another good way is to find a retail store that seems to be not very popular. Grocery stores, convenience stores, or just big stores that are in lowly populated area. I remember going to Walmart in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and their Walmart was hidden in an industrial park for some reason. Not many people there and the store looks to have not been updated in a long time. I managed to find several 2010 models there. Good luck! :D

Speaking of which, planning on doing my LAST stop to the flea market this summer... Since my dad's coming back from Vietnam and will most likely want his van back. :( Ugh, seems like my collecting is going to end for the summer...

Thanks for the reply, yeah I want to avoid ebay because its usually a rip off for single cars especially ones from the previous year because they think people will pay anything to compete the 'set'.

There are pop up markets I could go to, few toy stalls but they sell like used loose cars in bulk bags, they don't have newish blistered stuff. Stores here tend to have very little HW/MB stock to begin with and the turnover is quite high so it goes within like 2 weeks. :indiff: Good for finding new stuff.... bad for finding old stuff.

I'm sure there might be something good in one of those bulk bags. I managed to find the Delorean DMC-12 and Nissan GT-R R35 in loose bulk bags. Each bag had three cars for just a dollar! However, they changed things up and now put many cheap knockoff cars in the bag...with at least one Hot Wheels in it. :indiff:

My last purchase "possibly" of the summer from the flea market... :(
IMG_0052.jpg

It's been sitting at the flea market for quite a while and I kept telling myself I'd eventually get it, and I did! $3 though...is that too much?

Drift Dodge Charger
Ferrari 308 Final Run
Lexus SC
Porsche 911 GT3
Tooned Corvette
Jaguar D-Type

And lastly,
IMG_0054.jpg

HW Ferrari 360 Modena
MB Nissan 300ZX Z32 (Finally found it! Loose in a box along with another MB 300ZX, however I preferred the color of this one..)
Ferrari 250
MB MG TF

Hoping that the summer can still go on with collecting...

Like..... as in black ice camo? :odd:

Edit: I think the 959's awesome. 👍

So I went to a mall 5 minutes away from my flat with my sister, and I reminded there's a toy alley in Carrefour there. I was browsing like mad through them cars.

I felt like a 10 year old. Priceless.

Here's what I bought today:
DBS Volante with scratched door, some douchebag tried to open it :grumpy: It's in the best condition out of three I saw today, the other one had huge scratches on windshield and hood and the other one had a dent on the left door. Yes, dent. Didn't know it's even possible.

I thought I'd never see one of those in Poland:

They weren't as expensive as I expected, 15 PLN both. That's about 4.41 $.

I like the concept of hot ones but they shouldn't be 2.50$
Also can some one explain to me why team hotwheels HW's cars are 1.50?
there last years cars reboxed? same paint job and rims etc...

Went by Target today and decided to finish up my HW trip for this pay period. Since HWs have gone back down to $.84-.88 a piece from $1.07-1.09 a piece collection should be much easier. Anyway this is what I got today.

IMG_06681.jpg

Olds 442 (#145/247)
'71 Dodge Challenger (#82/247)

IMG_06661.jpg

'71 Dodge Demon (#177/247)
Aston Martin One-77 (#123/247)

IMG_06691.jpg

2009 Corvette Stingray Concept (#196/247)
'07 Ford Shelby GT-500 (#231/247)

IMG_06701.jpg

BMW 2002 (#21/247)
'70 Road Runner (#89/247)

IMG_06671.jpg

'70 Plymouth Superbird (#88/247)
'70 Ford Torino (#178/247)

IMG_06651.jpg

Then I got these two. Found two more different paint jobs for the 88 car and decided to pick them up. I am telling you if this was any other weekend I would not have been able to find these.

I'd collect those Cup cars if they weren't $5.

However, with the new awesome body styles coming in 2013 for the Cup cars, I may start when they come out.

Loving the daytona Cano!

Just back from secret game store and they had 100% cars for $1. lol
I just love how they price. One car its .99, 2 packs are 1.99 and so on. Picked up auto zone 2 packs for nothing then. plus kb toys military rods from 2002 with neatRR WHEELS

You could have saved 1c if you went back in later and got another pack.
As you would have then paid 1.98.
Didn't Abe say a penny saved is a penny earned?

I got 2 Lamborghini LP570-4s and 2 Lamborghini Estoque's

Fancy packaging, no idea.

I mean i could understand hot ones being 2.50 if they had Real riders and ALL had metal basses , heck HW's classics were 1.50 * 1.75 in some places*
I find it funny how Team hotwheels cars are all there untouched while theres a hand-full of normal hotwheels on the pegs...

Wait. Lamborghini sells a sedan!?

I wish.

It was a concept car, that Lamborghini unveiled back in '08 and sadly, they have no plans to put it into production. :indiff:

Well, I don't know what I'm gonna get now, as my heart was pretty set on a Lambo sedan. Maybe a Range Rover MR supercar, when they make one.

On topic, I'll probably buy the hot wheels-version if I see it at the store. The car being concept actually makes it more interesting hot wheels car for me!

Poor a6M5

His dreams were shattered before they even got off the ground.

oooo new page!

Guess.

These came from the usual fleamarket, with the exception of the coach, which was a trade with a friend.

First up, the small F1 cars which I haven't been able to find made them. I've asked here and there but to no avail. At first I thought Penny but nope. They should date back from the 60s or 70s, but whoever knows. They're minty, though.
IMG_7638.jpg

IMG_7639.jpg

Then this awesome little Corgi Reliant, it's from the 60s! minty, and only US$4! This has been one of the coolest finds off that place, I love it. It's already in my shelf.

The most relevant piece of the bunch, however, is the rare made in Mexico Stagefright in pretty good shape, the tampos are pretty worn but damn, this thing is pretty difficult to find.
IMG_7577.jpg

Proof, the famous round Hecho en México seal:
IMG_7579.jpg

Then more E-Bay stuff, this time a small but awesome lot of Hot Wheels, because most of these -the exception would be the Mercedes- are very hard to find nowadays:
IMG_7645.jpg

A minty Jag XJS, a fine replacement for my tattered example.
IMG_7588.jpg

The chromed Prowler is pretty difficult to find in decent shape, the chrome just becomes dull with time. The engine is there, also:
IMG_7586.jpg

Minty Minitrek in tan, I think this is the only one I was missing, I even have the black mexican version, albeit in very bad shape. The white version was bought from Slyguy, a GTP member from Hawaii.
IMG_7584.jpg

But the true star of the bunch is the absolutely mint Funny Money blackwall, a retake on the 1970 redline car (which I also happen to have, one of my few redlines and my first) and a very VERY difficult to find piece. I'm beyond happy with this thing.
IMG_7580.jpg

Here's why it's called Funny Money, twin-engined funny car chassis under an armored truck body:

More later.

I should do what cano's doing

post a load of random cars each page to crash the slow computers

Grayfox.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news there, a6.....I mean, Mr Moneybags. :p
It's been spend-spend-spend, lately. It's more of What-bags? I guess I slowed down collecting hot wheels just in time, huh?

What is so random about the cars he's posting? Maybe SVX can do a poll on this(I'm kidding SVX, don't you do it!), but most of us in here do appreciate the members uploading the pics of rare and/or classic cars in this thread, especially with a top-notch photography, or editing job.

In addition, I personally enjoy checking out the pics of other members' "hauls". I've gotten so many ideas or cars from those pics. Granted, it can get a bit repetitive sometimes, like with that guy *cough*a6m5*cough* He has to post everything R1600 posted just day or two before, except with 🤬 photography.

I was like: "That's mean".

Then I was like: "Oh, that's you!"

Edit: Got my X-Treme Speed Miata today from the guy who just sent it to me for free.:D Also got my 240Z Treasure Hunt from my recent trade.

Purchases from yesterday at Walmart. Not much, but did run into another collector there. However, he didn't seem like the kind and social type... Just blocked the entire area of Hot Wheels pegs with his shopping cart and when I asked to be excused he just glared at me and went back to searching through the box of Mystery Models. He took 10 minutes searching through the bags... His wife didn't look too happy about being dragged along, so she went off with her own shopping cart. Hope I don't run into him again.

IMG_0055.jpg

Mystery Models COPO Camaro was the only thing of interest that was left...
Finally got the Porsche 917! And it has a loose window error. >_>

Well you know guys, it's a thread for diecast collectors. I'm pretty sure that the thread would be the most boring thing on the entire Internet if there were no pictures. Just sayin'. ;)

I was like: "That's mean".

Then I was like: "Oh, that's you!"

I did the same thing

I dish out plenty, even to myself. :dopey:

Medigo, you should have started chatting with his wife, see how he likes that. "So, where do you usually shop for hot wheels? Maybe I'll see you there sometime?"
