Force India? Pole? (Checks for mushroom clouds on horizon)

Laughing all the way to the bank about it. Odds of 50/1 on him getting pole, put a cheeky tenner on it and now, the drinks are on me ladies and gentlemen

Waiting on race performance, but for now there is something odd going on in the Button camp.

Yeah... quite weired that they didn't made it to Q3... But no worry because the McLarens are there too... Barrichello has a good chance tomorrow... 👍

OMG Happy dance.

If Fisi wins, we will hear the Indian national anthem for the first time ever....I wonder if the FIA/FOM even have the tapes for that?

Despite the fuel loads, this was an amazing performance by Force India - Sutil was even 11th, which on a normal day would have been highly praised.

Heh, it feels good to have my earlier comments about FI (about the Prodrive rumours) justified.

Just plain awesome, can't wait till tomorrow. No KERS to screw around either, and Raikkonen being too far back to take them out (hopefully).

I got the fuel loads, I'm still in shock that Fisi is on Pole. Toyota being up there is a bit unusual too.

1. Giancarlo Fisichella, Force India, 648kg
2. Jarno Trulli, Toyota, 656.5
3. Nick Heidfeld, BMW Sauber, 655
4. Rubens Barrichello, Brawn GP, 644.5
5. Robert Kubica, BMW Sauber, 649
6. Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari, 655
7. Timo Glock, Toyota, 648.5
8. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, 662.5
9. Mark Webber, Red Bull, 658
10. Nico Rosberg, Williams, 670
11. Adrian Sutil, Force India, 678.5
12. Lewis Hamilton, McLaren, 693.5
13. Fernando Alonso, Renault, 684.4
14. Jenson Button, Brawn GP, 694.2
15. Heikki Kovalainen, McLaren, 697
16. Sebastien Buemi, Toro Rosso, 685
17. Jaime Alguersuari, Toro Rosso, 704.5
18. Kazuki Nakajima, Williams, 706.1
19. Romain Grosjean, Renault, 704.7
20. Luca Badoer, Ferrari, 691.5

^Oh cool, thanx

Well, his weight seems reasonable. Looking forward to tomorrow 👍

My predictions /hopes :
1. Fisichella
2. Heidfeld
3. Trulli
4. Vettel
5. Rosberg
6. Sutil
7. Raikkonen
8. Webber

... unlikely, I know, but I can hope, eh. :p

Unlikely mate... The Williams of Rosberg is lack of grip and may not be in that position... You miss Kubica up there and still I don't think that Sutil would be up there...

Just look at the last two poles fisico got, he won both the races. If fast pit stops are provided by the team, this should be a win. Hopefully.

Well the last time around he was in Renault and it's a different story that would happen tomorrow... But yeah I can gurantee that if they got the best stop, then win is very likely to be true!!!

What makes you think Fisichella would make a gap with the field so easily? I'm getting quite annoyed each time I hear this "Trulli train" stuff. That was Singapore last year, and Trulli has more than proven he can hold the pace up when his car allows him to do so. I have absolutely no reason at all to think Trulli won't be able to jump Fisichella tomorrow or to hold off the drivers behind him.

As I've said a million times before, I always refer to the Trulli train in respect to his defensive driving skills rather than a lack of offensive skills.

Its not like he's unfairly given this trait, there have been a fair number of occasions its happened, its natural because he's such a good qualifier.

And I think Fisi has a fair chance of building a gap because he's a consistent driver, he's good at this track and the car clearly is good. Its not like he lucked into this pole like Sutil lucked into the Nurburgring. And even then, Sutil did keep pace with the front runners, no reason to think Fisi can't also.

I never read each and every post in all GP threads, so I didn't know you meant it that way. Sorry about my cocky reaction. 👍

Although you might mean it positively, many others don't. Or so it seems, so therefore I really want Trulli to shine tomorrow to shut the mouths on those people a little bit. And I'm talking Bahrain now where he can keep up for only 1 stint, I now really want to finally see that victory for Toyota.

I wouldn't mind seeing Toyota finally win, but I've been a much longer fan of Force India/Spyker/Midland/Jordan....

Plus, Fisichella could possibly complete the circle on a number of events:
-Jordan last scored points at Spa.
-Jordan's first win was at Spa, this would be Force India's (obviously)
-Giancarlo almost scored Jordan's first win at Hockenheim and also scored their last win.
-Both times Giancarlo was on pole position, he won the race (but that was a dominant Renault...this will be a much bigger challenge).

I was right, Force India are on pole, now pardon me as I pick my jaw off the floor. Fisichella will be driving for ferrari after this, even more obvious if he wins.
Yet the post you made telling us you thought Fisi would get pole was posted at five past 2 BST, a few minutes after qualifying had ended...

Being a Force India fan is finally paying dividends.

Points for FIF1? Here's hoping!

im hoping for a sutil win even though hes starting 11th. its 100/1 odds he will win and a $10 bet pays out $1000. yea i found y underdog for the race. but in reality im hopin kimi wins hes heavier then most in front of him so as long as he can get a good pit strategy going and make a pass past the truli train he should be able to win. kinda odd to see hamilton at the back of the pack after mclaren has done so well the past few races.

What do you guys think the podium will look like tomorrow? My guess is...

Trulli
Raikkonen
Fisichella

But I have no idea what the order will be.

My prediction for tomorrow...:

1.Kimi
2.barrichello
3.fisi
4.vettel
5.sutil
6.trulli
7.webber
8.hamilton

I think(as i mentioned before in this thread)that Kimi has very good papers for the race tomorrow...this is depending however he has a super(kers...)start and mekes up 2 or 3 positions at the end of the straight after au rouge....he has fuel enough to outrun the guys in front of him and just has always prefomed very well at this circuit!!...

Barrichello will make an early stop(fuel)but will have very consistend laptimes and with a little luck and good strategy from Ross Brawn i think he will be very strong especially in the 2nd half of the race....and it will probably be warmer tomorrow wich will fafor the brawns(tyres...)

Fisi will lead the first part of the race ,but wont be able to winn it...i hope he proves me wrong but i just dont see it happening!!a podium finish would be fantastic aswell though!!!!!!....

i somehow see Sutil have a very strong race from 11th...he can drive longer than any other out of the top 10 and with a little luck he gets good points tomorrow....

For the others its more or less a wild guess(or hopes??....lol!)i dont see a good finish for Heidfeld ...something will go wrong there ,with the team comming to an end the motovation will probably be gone a bit in the team and this usually leads to mistakes...

ahh well,we will see it all tomorrow....maybe i am totally wrong, maybe not....

spyrrari.

Trulli
Raikkonen
Fisichella

Well Im not sure with this... But here's my prediction...

Trulli
Heidfeld
Fisichella

Don't forget Heidfeld, once if it rains, then it's going to be on his favour... If you read the Qualifying Press Conference... Again, remember last year :)

Wait, hasn't Fisichella had a few big crashes at Spa?

Yeah he did have one in 2004 at Eau Rouge... But hopefully nothing happen for this year...

No no, Giancarlo Fisichella crashed in the 2005 Belgian GP.

(He was driving for Sauber in 2004).

He also crashed there with a Benetton.

And one thing, Vettel won last year at Monza(similar tracks) in a Torro Rosso. I don't see why this would be a long shot for Fisico. Just keep it out of the barriers and clean pit stops, it should prove to be enough.

1. Fisi
2. Bar
3. Tru

I think Barrichello will finish here because of what he showed last weekend. He will put a string of fast laps plus some fast in/out laps and will jump the Toyota and BMW's
