I've been a big fan of Lewis since he started his F1 career (joining my favourite team helped a bit), but I was completely unimpressed by his driving and the way he acted over the radio today. 👎

Yeah, i'm surprise on how he's changing from a good boy to bad boy after gaining alot of attention. 👎

Rubbish end to the race. Allowing the tyres to be changed for any reason other than the weather is daft. Vettel was lucky today but it would have been truly great if he'd had to hold on for the win on his really old tyres. As it is, both Alonso and Button can count themselves unlucky.

Points for Williams at last 👍 It's about time as well.

Agree completely. Working on the cars like they were in the pits with the race stopped is bullcrap. Ruined the rest of the race.

My thoughts exactly. It would have been awsome if the tyres weren't changed.

Yeep, one big flop for F1.

Anti climatic qualifying and race...doh :dunce:

What they said. Pirelli have worked so hard to make the tyres an important aspect of entertaining races this year only to have the last 6 laps be a complete bore thanks to red flag regs. That needs to be changed. That should have been changed. Seb is so so so lucky.

Exactly what I was thinking. Gross. I might have to mute that race. The one race of the entire freaking calendar that's not between 12am and 7am and it has to be on Fox. We just can't win.

I'll say. Didn't he say Massa drove in to him purposely?

Hammy must have been on drugs or something for this race, just...atrocious. Waving off (I forget who it was) for defending a position that was rightfully theirs, practically t-boning Massa and arguably forcing him to crash and get a DNF, and then taking out Maldonado.

You mean four, my friend. Or is it five? I forget.

FOX, being the parent of SPEED, is contracted or something to show some of the early to mid season events.

I'd imagine he was frustrated with the decision to run a late qualifier saturday, not giving him enough time.
I like Hamilton's driving style, but he's stepped over some boundaries this GP.

I wasn't meaning Fox only having one race, just that the only race at a completely reasonable time has to be on FOX. Obviously it makes sense for them, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Ah. I misunderstood.

None of us here in the states care for FOX's coverage. It's nothing but commercials and tape delays.

Figure he's frustrated overall to be stuck behind people he's probably faster then, monaco being a hard track to overtake aswell perhaps I'm not sure. Usually love his agressive driving but this was not his GP :(

That's exactly what I thought. We know that Hamilton is a good driver, but his actions were more that questionable in my mind. There was no need to drive that recklessly at all, even if he was frustrated.

Still no, just wait about 2 hour or so... :p
Montreal next.
I really hope for wet race a there.

No, it's the same at every race. Tyres can be changed at any time in the inner lane, on a Section 40 Red Flag suspension the grid becomes the inner lane. We see tyre changes for non-weather reasons all the time.

Tired Tyres
As it is, both Alonso and Button can count themselves unlucky.

Alonso, unlucky - he outperformed the Ferrari's front end. Button...must be wondering when McLaren will get their strategic act together. They anticipated a Safety Car on the basis of not recognising the location of Glock's halted car. Too many schoolboy errors from them at the moment!

It does seem Hamilton has been acting a bit more brashly of late, continually stiring the pot on and off track. But quite frankly, I like the way he has been acting of late...to me it's much more interesting/entertaining than the lame PR drone he has been over the past couple of years :sly: The desperation must be getting him by now...and I can't blame him for that. Seems Hamilton is going down the road to becoming the next Fernando Alonso, "the hot headed prick"

Basically he was asked why he gets penalised so much and he joked with something along the lines of "it's cos I'm black! That's what Ali G would say!"

Haha Lewis' post race interview is hilarious!

Distressing... playing the 'black' card is out of order. Kudos to him for being F1's first mixed-race driver of partial African origin but it has nothing to do with track performance whatsoever.

Starting a racism row is out of order.

Lmao...that's great. I'll have to watch it later

Yeah, we can't blame him 100%.
The more famous you're. The more pressure you have.
The next Alonso? Well, he can be one.

In the UK on the red button.

"Is it cos I is black?" Is that what Hamilton just said in reference to his race penalty? Sheesh, if that was meant to be a joke, then he failed.
He also apologized to his fans after his poor race performance.

Hamilton drove like a penis today. He made a couple of good moves but the move on Maldonado was ridiculous. The hairpin move on Massa wasn't much better. As for the tunnel, he looked to have pushed Massa off-line but I think that was less his fault.

Lewis still denying he's to blame just like he did over the radio in the car, he was clearly in the wrong because firstly it was plain to see and secondly the stewards agreed. He really is (and always has been) a nasty piece of work in my eyes but if that makes you a good race driver so be it, others do better and are not like that.

Loving the Red Bull party on the BBC F1 forum, so many hotties! :sly: Had no idea that so many girls worked in Red Bull Racing!

Robin.

No surprises in the BBC viewers' Driver of the Day poll...

Just watching the Di Resta interview... didn't realise that the Alguersuaruaruari crash was under blue flags. That changes the complexion of Di Resta's penalty...

Very clumsy by Hamilton. It couldn't get a lot worse after he taken out Maldonado which could possibly give a lot of valuable points for Williams. I think he could get a penalty for the move. The race to the end was over when they were allowed to change tyres. If had they keep their tyres as before the red flag, Vettel could've struggle badly. I'm surprised at how good Vettel is driving a worn out tyres and still lapping at around 1'19.xxx while I thought he could be a whole lot slower.

Glad to hear that Petrov was owkey after that shunt, it was crazy with almost 7 cars including the leaders being in a group taking corners at the swimming pool complex. Disaster happened, lucky the top 3 men weren't affected. After all, that was probably one of the best Monaco GP that I have seen!
