Is their a rule change for Monaco that make the Soft the prime and Quli the Option ties?
The two compounds used this weekend were the Softs and the Supersofts, therefore then soft tires are the hardest and last longer. The definition of prime tire is that it's the most durable. It can be soft one weekend and hard the next. And there haven't been quali tires since the early 80's. The softer of the two tires available is always the quickest, hence why they use them in qualifying.
Ditto.
Hammy looks buggered
He's looked like a complete amateur during the race. Even taking out Pastor Maldonado, who for once, didn't look like an amateur.
Did they just made the rule now specially for Vettel, that you can change tyres on the grid during a red flag?
See, this is why I try to stay off F1 these days. It pisses me off.
Yeah, because they tore up the rulebook 72 laps into the 6th race of the season to suit Vettel.
I believe the rules are written well before the start of the 6th race of the season.
This.
No crap, Sherlock...
I'm just saying these rules are plain stupid. And yes, I wasn't aware they could now do this. I knew F1 regulations front to back from 1986 until 1994, and then some until about 1999. Now I no longer care.
I like the way that you basically admit to not knowing the rules, but you cry foul.
Maldonando gone at St Devote.... thanks to Hamilton...
It's such a shame. He's been impressive this weekend. Maybe his confidence will have been boosted.
Vettel has won again... Well Done Lotus, brilliant result, I hope Hamilton doesn't get penalised.
Why not? Do you think it was fair what happened to Massa or Maldonado. Plus his arrogant attitude. I think he'll be lucky just to get a post race penalty. A fine or a warning seems more fitting.
There's not really an excuse for Hamilton's poor show today. I've never seen such an awful performance from him as I did today. He drove like a reckless little boy.
I bet we'll see a bit less Vettel bashing on here from now on. Abysmal race from Hamilton.
I've got all kinds of respect for Vettel this season, but no. Just no. Had he done that on the previous rubber then yeah.
I just don't see it to be fair that vettel won this race, i don't see him as a worthy winner based on that he was slower than everyone else and won by default thanks to the silly red flag rules that allow you to change tyres on the grid.
Did you forget how long he lasted on that set of tires?
EVERYONE changed tires. It would have been interesting to see how things would have panned out, but you can't blame him for taking the fresher tires.
Good points for Sutil though... he may afford himself a wee glass of champagne later... or maybe not.
I've been a big fan of Lewis since he started his F1 career (joining my favourite team helped a bit), but I was completely unimpressed by his driving and the way he acted over the radio today. 👎
Check out the 2010 season review dvd. You'll see he's been talking to the team like that for a while.
Basically he was asked why he gets penalised so much and he joked with something along the lines of "it's cos I'm black! That's what Ali G would say!"
Seriously? I can't believe he'd play the race card. Jokingly or not.
Robin.
He really is (and always has been) a nasty piece of work in my eyes
