Sorry guys :scared:

It took me forever to stop calling it Winston :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Well most of us here don't care if you call it that or by it's current name. Most of us realize it's NASCAR, so you're fine. There are those on here that will nitpick to just do it because they can't just ignore it.

Fair enough. You say he qualified 23rd. On his preferred style of track. Might be time to think of about another category.
Roger Penske is talking to him about being lead driver if Roger comes over here to play. If I was Ambrose, I think I'd take that deal

I wouldn't make anything of quali, he probably just had a bad lap he did pretty good in practice. His issue (like many outsiders to NASCAR) is that he couldn't fully get down the ovals. He does good at some of them and more so than other drivers that made the move, but just not enough to win championships.

By the way, I still call Nationwide the "Busch Series" and will continue to do so for as long as a certain driver races in it.

Morgan Shepherd? :sly:

Not too talk ill of the man, but he can only live for so long

I can't believe he's still getting a drive.
I remember him racing out here around 25 years ago. He 'signed' the side of the reigning champion's car as he was passing & was given a character reference in sign language

It's strange that Pete came in and then they have a big huge pre-race insight on Ambrose
I missed this race last year & was determined not to do it again so I set my alarm across the other side of the bedroom. It's hard to throw across the room when its already there .
It's 4:50am by the way.

It'll be a good one! Grab a coffee and enjoy! :D

I'm not exactly up to date on the latest edition of the NASCAR rule book but Chad does have an interesting interpretation of how to play fair :odd:
He still gets busted for breaking rules every once and awhile.

IT is common at this point since it's been on the calender for 5 years and still has years on its contract. You seem to wish it was a more regular thing to see road course formatted tracks on the calender, though arguably Truck and NNS do a better job than Sprint with the two they've had for decades. As for popularity, it's quite big still in the areas it needs to be and their are NASCAR series (though lower tier) that cater to more road course oriented tracks
stop being American-centered, I'm from Europe and I'm telling you more road courses would help NASCAR popularity.

Well new thread user Meek will for reasons not even he can explain.
I had to look at what Busch was, I thought it was the Busch bros that got me quite confused lol

I remember reading about how some of the crew chiefs of the past have had a very liberal view of the rules. For example:
NASCAR says a maximum of 20 gal fuel tank.
Ok then, we'll run fuel lines that hold 5 gal.

As we say over here, there is more than one way to skin a cat.

That caution might be a little early for the teams that were going to two stop the race. But, they can't pass up the chance to stop here.

True.

I think 2 is perfect for Cup. Keeps it really novel and exciting for me.
Eh, 3 or 4 total wouldn't hurt though.

Why does this American Express Tina Fey commercial always play twice?

what?
Roger Penske is currently scouting around V8 Supercars looking at a partnership or a takeover of one of the teams competing in the championship.
He has said, if the numbers look good & all the ducks line up in a row, he'll give it the green light. He has also said, he would like to have Marcos Ambrose as his lead driver should that happen.
Ambrose is up for a contract renewal at Petty & doesn't yet have a deal tied up for 2015.

Hope this clears that up for you.
