Here's my idea for a Chase format:

The driver who scores the most points in 36 races becomes champion.

My idea for the Chase System: Have none.

I guess the penalties are for the actions on the track and on pit road. Denny should've gotten one for that brake check though.

Ok. And Denny drives after BK in the garage area and collides with him. Then tries to go after BK on foot, but he doesn't get punished?

Lots of drivers have gotten away with this same thing many times. These guys wipe their b-holes with the dollar amount of these fines. NASCAR is basically saying we are kind of going to take a stand but not really. It's the principle of the matter at hand. Yes, NASCAR does love this sort of thing.

He didn't even hit Keselowski.

If that's so, Danica should have been penalized for brake checking Logano and causing him to run into her.

Just being snarky here.

In fairness though, no one has ever really made a rule stating how many races a Chase for the Cup can have at minimum. Brian France thinks 10 is appropriate, but 36 makes for a more entertaining season from start to finish.

And in the wider eye it makes the sport seem a total joke and farce.

I would have given Brad 100,000 and Kenseth and Hamlin 75 each, personally.

Against Stewart, maybe, but Kenseth couldn't do anything once Brad actually turned around, despite Matt holding his arm. Hamlin's all talk and empty threats anyway.
