Everybody stayed pointed forward.

Well, now that probably means that the NSCS race is going to be wilder. :nervous:

Ladies and gentlemen.

This next qualifying session is not going to mean anything but a test run. You can throw the chase brackets out of the window. You can throw the starting grid out of the window. All we do know, is that we don't know.

Well, I can assume that the GWC insanity won't wind up as peacefully tomorrow. I can't see the cup drivers making it back with that type of driving with so much on the line.

Not to mention with the cup cars they have about 15 more cars at the end then the trucks had today, and they have to deal with Stenhouse.

****ing ********, NASCAR's disallowing Terry Labonte's two sided paint scheme, they've gone with just the Kelloggs side :grumpy:

Should be just a little less idocy with Stenhouse not in. But then again, this is 'Dega, so chaos will ensue regardless.

It's not exactly Roush's fault that Stenhouse didn't catch a good draft. Several very good cars had to get in on owner points today because they were outside the top 36 on the speed charts..
That qualy session was pretty crappy. Jeff Gordon didn't even get a lap in during the session in the draft. I like the pack drafting done in qualifying, but there has to be a way to get everyone a lap. Seems like Stenhouse as well as the other guys who didn't get a lap just mistimed their runs

Pretty sure he still wants to do Daytona, Indy and Le Mans all in the same year.

Well then, he's gonna have to do a lot of testing since he has 0 laps in any of the cars racing in those races (assuming he can even find a ride for all three races, in a economy where getting one ride is hard enough)

According to what I read:

But NASCAR vetoed the scheme, saying it violated a rule that requires a consistent look for the paint scheme and was not submitted in time to be approved anyway

Didn't realize there was a rule regarding paint schemes (apart from maybe Pornography and such), but apparently there is.

The rule is there for the benefit of spotters. Can imagine it would be hard to tell where your car is on the track when one side is one look and the other is another look... especially at Talladega.

What they should have done is the front half in one design, and the back half in the other.

I'm guessing it also has to do with race control.

Anyways, I'm fine with it as I've always hated half-and-half paint schemes.

So how will they remove and (if possible) add another wrap to the side removed? Will this mean the #32 will start at the rear?

Maybe they should just run over to the nearest Wal-Mart and pick up a few extra-large boxes of Reynolds Wrap. Put that on the Piedmont Airlines side and draw a #32 with Crayola and Sharpie.

When they cut his car apart for die hard fans, you can bet that will be the most unique. The crayon shavings are falling onto the owner :D

Looks like the new wonder boy's gonna get a lesson in drafting from the old wonder boy.
